Longbow is a pipe dream people. It will never happen. Anet hates drastic changes of this nature. We will have better luck complaining about the scepter auto-attack until something happens (and obviously that’s not been very fruitful at that).
As someone who has GM’d for other MMOs in the past, I find the idea that a guild would be disbanded for an (arguably) inappropriate name completely absurd and ham fisted.
There’s no reason a GM could not simply force rename a guild and then have the leader petition with a new one.
Sadly, knowing how this business works, I doubt they will ever admit any fault in this situation, but I hope that at some point they reconsider this absurd policy. I. Have heard other disappointing examples of Anet policy, but this is by far the worst.
Guardians already are the hard counter to conditions. They have the best sources of condition removal in the game, which also happen to benefit allies as well. Making retaliation a condition counter is not only redundant, but also totally excessive.
If retaliation should be changed, then making it a condition counter is in no way the correct approach.

Also LMAO at this “conspiracy theory” trash. As a Borlis Pass player I find the idea completely laughable. This shows an inability to come to terms with reality. Quit indulging in this fantasy, acknowledge the shortcomings of our own server and try to improve on them. We will get a lot more mileage out of that than we would on trying to pin our failures on cross-server espionage.
I don’t think it should be punished, because it’s the guild leadership’s responsibility to only give trustworthy people access to guild bank. If somebody takes the money and runs it’s on the guild leader tbh.
I honestly love the LFG website and I don’t really feel that we are suffering from a lack of an in-game dungeon finder. Sure, you have to alt-tab out of the game to use it (maybe not if you have dual display), but it’s extremely efficient at forming groups when combined with GW2s self-invite features and cross server grouping. People who want to even have the luxury of being able to form specific kinds of groups. Take for example the typical CoF farming groups. Whether or not you are a fan of that style of dungeon play, it’s hard to argue that being able to recruit groups easily based on what you are looking for is a bad thing. That’s something you are not likely to get with an in-game system. At least not if it would be anything like what I’ve experienced in other games.
Man all the guesting kittens on this board crack me up. Next thing you know, they will be calling for all guest subhumans to be corralled into virtual labor camps instead of overflow, where they have to break up nodes of copper or for hours on end before they are able to be admitted into a playfield that the civilised “natives” inhabit.
I love guesting and think it’s a great feature. I also don’t use it to farm world events on other servers though. I mainly just use it to find uncontested dungeon entrances. For that purpose it’s pretty awesome.
I’ve generally had pretty good luck with dungeon groups in this game, but after having been booted from an AC exp run when a pug ragequit, I have always since adhered to this “always go in first” philosophy unless I am doing guild runs.
