Updated my main.. my charr female

6/10..I wish the lighting was more bright so I can see the colors. The armor is very typicall but gives a Necromancer look.

This is my Charrmancer. As a Charr light armor..or any armor has been a pain in the kitten . I have done her look a few times..here is the newest.

My Necro Charr got a new look.

I have a feeling only a couple races would participate.

As much as we tried we couldn’t escape the Asuran authorities. No regrets.

What a beast! I love the red and white. This is why I envy the heavy armor users. It looks sooo cool on charr. You 9/10 in my opinion. Wish I could see the helm. But you def strike fear!

I like how your armor matches your character moreso than than the usual black or green. Lovely.

Steps.

1. Take off all armor.
2. Use low grade weapons.
3. Go to Orr, Fireheart or another level 80 map.

5. PROFIT.

Brit, I LOVE the armor you have. Which is it? And the blindfold too. I love the whole look. I find light armor challenging. The weapons are insane. You must have worked hard to farm that much gold.

Here is my Necromancer Charr. I am still trying to find the best armor. She is level 80. The weapons arn’t final and due to being Charr, I am having issues finding the armor that wont clip anything. I am happy with her looks for the moment now. I would love some more cultural armor, but it clips tails and shaves the mane. (Please give some love to our thread on this board where we talk about this! Support Charrmor plight)

The armor is good, but I’m weird about the coloring. I know how tough it is to find good light armor.

This is my Ash Legion charr necromancer. The armor is pretty basic, the top I got in a Story Quest and those are Masquerade pants. I also am sporting tier 2 shoulders like you.

Wow that is some serious floating issues.

Indeed. The thing is: His thread is older and yet no dev bothered dropping a comment. This lack of care makes me sad.

Probably didn’t get a dev response because it’s in the race forums. Probably one of the least viewed forums here. And for charr, too. So it’s the least of the least.

They’ve outright said it’s not worth their time to make stuff for charr so I doubt any thing will ever be fixed.

When did they say that?

I have serious doubt’s we will ever get acknowledged… every time I see armor clipping tail or horns..I just report it as a bug.

I will still not get over the t3 charr cultural light armor. Especially the helm. It’s awesome!! It’s featured in the Necromancers skill video. What is cooler than a blindfold with little chains hanging from it?

…The huge problem with it though is that it SHAVES off the mane. I’m sure every other race would freak too if they lost their hair (or a sylvari losing his mushroom head) etc. And what kills me is this armor is for charr only, so it’s made for the charr and it still has a huge glitch.

People tell me “Thats how it’s supposed to look.” I don’t understand..so my charr has to shave her glorious mane to wear the helm? I settle for a lot less cooler helms until this is fixed. Especially when t3 armor costs so much gold.

Here is a comparison. No matter how cool the helm is..without the mane..it just looks awful.

They bring the creep factor. I mean who wouldn’t want to play someone reanimates corpses then makes them implode for their sick pleasure.

I had to struggle a lot with this. I wanted light armor for my necromancer, without tail clipping and fitting the whole look. So far I am happy with what I found.

I am literally 14/16 for the full Queens completionist. Last night I did the daily of defeating a gauntlet champion..but it hasn’t reset all day. Driving me mad.

It is by far the coolest looking equipment. t3 charr cultural… for those who wear light armor.. and the one thing that stops me from buying it is that it completely shaves off my poor gal’s mane.

I tried to preview it several times but I can’t get over it… I reported it as a bug ><. If it can work around the ears and horns, I don’t see why I have to lose my precious mohawk because of it.

Honestly, I think players are focusing too much on the achievements and not enough on just playing the game.

Achievements have become the entirety of the game. Go try to kill the bosses in Orr or ask for a group to do Arah Story Mode. You won’t find anyone because they are all outside chasing balloons. ArenaNet is moving piles of populace to new locations each week while leaving the majority of the world as empty as Kessex Peak from Guild Wars 1.

The release just dropped, it’s not surprising you don’t see players doing pre-existing content when new content is now here. Everyone’s checking it out.

Outside of this, I certainly do see people killing the bosses in Orr.

Yes, it just dropped, I already have 9/16 achievements and I’m finished with this update. I have no need nor desire to log on until the next content update. Even then, I will log on only long enough to grab the new back item or perma-toy and repeat the cycle over again.

And in regards to the Orr bosses, your server must be far more active than mine. Orr is dead for me, no pun intended.

Awesome, good for you. Take advantage of the no subscription fee and only play when you like it. There’s something every two weeks so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see if something grabs your interest. Whatever’s fun for you.

See that’s the kicker though. It’s not fun. I haven’t had fun in the game since this whole living story started. The core game was brilliant and then it just died with the introduction of the Living Story. I log on for new content in hopes of finding something fun but it never happens. The Living Story killed my game.

I didn’t realize they were holding an imaginary game-pistol to your temple and FORCING you to do the living story.

You don’t realize a lot of things…like the gating involved in the living story…you know, the gating that draws everyone away from the world events and funnels them into very specific areas. On my realm, I’ve seen lone players solo pre-events only to leave the bosses up because there aren’t enough people in the zone to kill them.

The living story is acting like a vampire, sucking the life out of the open world and the core game content.

Gosh how ever will you survive this tragedy. :o

Wow, SHAME on Anet for taking the effort of continuously creating live world events to keep the players engaged and continuing to enjoy this rapidly evolving environment.

Many other MMOs “create it, set it, leave it” and leave the players to find their own entertainment to liven things up.

Okay another question. One build I saw they max Shadow arts then do 20 in arobatics and 20 in trickery…. then I see the opposite, where people don’t touch shadow arts and max critical strikes and deadly arts. Which is better?

Seriously, I think I went from one class, to it’s near opposite. I have reached level 80 on my Necromancer Charr and I decided I wanted to try a new class. I dabbled in some here and there, but I am still very accustomed to the playing style of a necromancer, which if played right…do not die. The amount of damage from their conditions is ridiculous. Now enough gushing.

I made a human thief and I adore him, but I am only level 12 and the struggle is real. I find myself using the bow because I seem to stay alive longer, but I love having dagger on my main hand (HS noob here). But I also like dual dagger on my necro, so I think its just a habit. I read some debates that a longsword and pistol is better combo.. I have no idea. For PVE standards, what are some of the best weapon combos?

All Charr have it bad when it comes to armor. I just giggle when I see a kitty following a bigger kitty around. But before I made mine a Necro, I highly considered making her a ranger,

Charrs are given fresh meat and pets.

How Charrs take baths. Good luck to any race who wants to try to wrangle them down.

I was able to find armor for my necro w/o a crazy skirt that will tail clip…but this armor is nothing special. I’m annoyed any specialty armor (such as arah or even cultural) armor has tail clipping and mane-shaving. I LOVED the headpiece for t3 cultural light armor, but it took off her mane..so I settled for this..

I nearly had an aneurism. Ive been saving up for the cultural magnus shroud looked awesome. Especially for my necromancer. Today I finally previewed it…and it chops off my poor girl’s mane! They can’t even get armor made specifically for charr correct ><

Well, this isn’t Charr specific armor but I do have a question. I made the difficult choice of making my main a charr who wears light armor.

So I was admiring this guys armor here:

He is wearing Furnace coat and legs. He is NOT wearing the furnace pauldrons. Now when I previewed the same armor, my charr’s coat looked different..she didn’t have the chains on the shoulders. Is this the difference in male/female version of the coat OR is he wearing some type of pauldron to compliment it?

Wait…so I can get my standard refunded and re-buy it to get the deal? Cause I would love to freakin do that. I bought my copy on the website too…Im sadface this deal wasnt going on when I bought it.

I just started a level 1 Sylvari..but the Trading post says I have silver to collect but it belongs to my other character…is this a bug anyone else seeing?.

After following all of the recommendations (dns flush, error logs, etc) with no results, I finally took the advice I read on here about turning off your computer for half an hour. However, I went a step further and unplugged my modem/router/computer for an hour. I have AT&T as a carrier so I had to go for an hour with no internet or tv.

I’m not sure how I survived, but I found these bundles of paper in my house with writing on them. Some people call them “books”? They seemed to help. ;-) Anywho, once I plugged back in and turned it all back on, my problem was solved.
I don’t know if it will work for anyone else, but worth a shot. Good luck!

See, I have AT&T also..and I actually called them because my net was slow anyway. Since they came out and worked on my speed, this issue also disappeared.

See I agree! Or if only I can go back and watch the cutscenes and dialogue… I ask myself why I cant see them each time I look at my story.

Good news! I havent had time to log on other than this morning..I played for 30 minutes with no DC..but I was going to wait to make sure it was stable before green lighting.
