So yeah. I have decided to start up an engineer. I have zero clue or ideas of how to set this guy up.

As a Guardian player it seemed pretty easy but as an Engineer I wonder what is the way to go for leveling? Any builds or tips would be welcomed. I don’t plan to PvP or WvW .

I find it funny that the guild i’m in has been doing RP runs of the Molten Facility as it’s part of the story line…and so far no one has complained.

With all due respect, balancing content like a story instance is completely different than balancing an enhanced jumping puzzle like Super Adventure Box, so for us it just wasn’t feasible to consider doing an “easy” and “hard” mode in this particular case.

I understand that there are players who will simply object philosophically to this direction, and wish that all the content we create to be solo-friendly, but our company has always been focused around building an online world that encourages our players to play our game together.

It’s funny because that’s how most MMOs handle their content…enjoy doing a dungeon/raid to see the end.

the content they are talking about is over the whole year not the first 4 months they stated these for months were to be imporvments on current content and would be small. So i dont see any lie’s yet

F&F is done. When they said an expansion’s worth, they were talking in the context of F&F not the overall living story.
It’s not a LIE, it’s a cheesy sales pitch. If they want to look desperate, then by all means, stay the course. But they should just say what they are doing, not talk about how this “WILL CHANGE TYRIA FOREVERRRRR!!!” Frequent content updates are not special in the industry anymore.

To answer your non-relevant question with an option you didn’t provide: I prefer they stop over-selling their content & making them selves look foolish. It’s just dumb. F&F isn’t even close to an expansion of content, & it doesn’t provide features that are normally reserved for expansions either. If feels kinda pathetic when they need to over-hype stuff.

Where did they say F&F was going to be “expansion’s worth” of content?

If you’re so upset that you’re not getting what you want…then leave? If you don’t like the content then play something else, do something else until more content comes out that you like. Sorry they can’t pander to you specifically.

I personally enjoy the story and the guild i’m in actually have RP plots surrounding the Living Story, making it all the more interesting and fun when something new comes along. At least they’re doing what they promised with new content just about every month…WoW could never make or keep that promise…matter of fact not many MMOs can.

I enjoy my Guardian.

Like to RP him as a “Spirit Guardian” where he vows to protect the Spirits after the sacrifice of the 3 others that were lost to Jormag.

Pretty nifty so far.

I liked the RP on my Thief (Pirate captain) but…I didn’t like the class itself.

I enjoyed it.

Everyone saying no is most likely a PvPer that doesn’t PvE and complains.

I get the strangest starship trooper feel…

Standing outside the cave that’s blocked off…I know the braincrab is in!

I like how people act like it wouldn’t lag with any other MMO company.

Like all other MMOs are completely blameless.

By far the best halloween event i’ve seen in an MMO.

I don’t know why but i’m at level 34 (have been on and off) and I just feel slightly lost with leveling honestly. I mostly do PvE…I don’t know if i’ll jump into WvW/PvP or if it’s even effective for leveling. I don’t know what weapon combo to go with or if I should change at all…then there’s traits and I have no clue what to go with or what will effectively work, it’s kinda like “Will it Blend” but with serve doubt. I’m mostly running S/P (Shortbow for the kitten chaotic AoE events), i’m trying to figure out a trait/slot build. So far I have been using blinds and i’m wondering if that’s good enough to work. I don’t know! I just need alittle advice I guess to make thief somewhat…smoother-ish.

They were devoured by Jormag to help save the Norn exodus.

I play a norn thief, I also roleplay him as a pirate.

The humans are basically fantasy elves.

Love finishing jump puzzles only to get a warhorn and a healing inscription for a thief….

If you have a problem with heat, use the FPS limiter in the graphics option, should be under your resolution and what not. They’re is three options, Unlimited, 60 and 30. Maybe in time they’ll add a custom FPS limit ability or maybe its in some file in a folder somewhere.

I run almost everything on medium a few things on low with a 9800gt, Phenom II X4 945 and I limit the FPS down to about 30 and it’s pretty smooth, I can’t tell the difference between 30 and 60 on the FPS limiter and i’m running rather cool with my CPU normally under 45c and my 9800gt around 55 to 65c.
