Just having the October content fixed would be a good start.
so let me recap for you… there I am wandering around looking for the thief. “poof” thief appears next to me, does 18k dmg in less than 1.5 seconds and “poof” back into stealth. I spam everything in gods creation to clear condi, heal and keep from being downed by it, placing 60% of all my utilitys and virtues on a 30+ second cooldown, then 5 seconds later, “poof” thief appears again, bursts another 18k damage and laughs as I lay there a burning/poisoned heap…. this is broken and needs fixed. no one should be able to do 40k burst damage in a total of less than 3 seconds visible time, and another 5 seconds stealthed…
The thief needs some serious work – totally agreed. I just hope they get round to it sooner rather than later as its attracting the worst sort of people – the player that is purely playing the class to annoy as many players as possible.
And maybe mesmer is not the most urgent to nerf in any case…

Its was the mesmers fault – she was asking for it.
I really think that it would do the community a lot of good if the DEVS gave an in depth explanation as to why they nerf certain traits / mechanics. I would go as far as to say that we do deserve to understand their reasoning. At the very least it will help people that feel that their class is being nerfed unfairly. The changers to healing prism is a classic example of this, where no one seems to know why it was done and are just speculating – something that is not healthy for any game.
I do have to agree with the OP. I have given it some serious thought and have come to the conclusion that pvp is just even more about who can get their burst rotation in first. I am not complaining – if this is the way they want sPvP to be then I can adapt. Ont eh whole I like what they have done ankitten ot making any judgements until I have seen the Elite specializations in action.
It’s huge nerf and the one I don’t like the most. If u want to remove 10 stack of bleeds before chance were than it was first to get removed. Because it was last applied. Same with an immob or cripple/chill…
Now it’s useless… We need sa and acrobatics to get decent condi removal and it’s still not as good as old shadows embrace…
I don’t anticipate playing this game much longer…
I love these empty threats we have been getting from people since the patch. You need to wait and see the state of the class after a couple of weeks before you start writing the class off. Chances are it will be fixed (if not directly then indirectly).
I am not sure it was necessary. Sure had this been put in a week ago then it would have been OP, but we live in a different world now. I dont think reducing the % to the point they have done was the way to go here. Imo it was fun keeping the uptime of the CA going as much as poss and meant i was using my staff more than I had been – if the staff had been the mesmers main source of damage then yes it should have been reduced – but that isnt the case. I think they need to re adjust it – to maybe 4%. The 17% on power block was fair enough, thats always been a great skill and needed to be fine tuned when different builds tested with it.

I really did enjoy it for a few mins. But I have had to log out as the game currently unplayable.
