The purpose of this game is to have fun. Sitting around doing sfa in a tower is not fun. There is nothing difficult to understand here yet Anet just don’t get it. What is wrong with them?

I’ve been trying to level a new Elle (currently level 29) and I have to say whatever is going on is a complete disaster. I have 11 level 80s and there is no way I am doing pve to level it up. If this is a bug I hope it’s fixed soon and if it’s not I have already done my last 80 because there’s only so much grind you can do and I am past that point.

An indication from Anet would be appreciated.

Edit: Yeah it’s a bug. I used a tome to get to level 30 and it’s back to normal.

I use to command on my mesmer and I was able to frontline with it no problem but that was before a lot of wvw’ers learnt how to play melee trains properly. Also I was an early adopter of melandru runes and lemongrass poultry soup (thanks to a friend who recommended it). Times change.

I don’t see how you can lead a melee train on a mesmer. Maybe someone better than myself could. Other than running a karma train or maybe a havoc group mesmers are just too squishy. I haven’t spent a lot of time on my necro but it does seem to be able to tank a lot better than mesmer. Warriors and guardians are still the best picks for commanding.

For those considering a transfer to TC here’s a brief summary of the different time zones:

NA – chockers (ie do you like waiting in ques?)
OCX – you simply can’t have too many and TC have never had a lot.
SEA – TC has some, JQ has blobs and blobs. If you like fighting against bigger numbers, if you like blob busting this may be for you.
EU – has any NA server complained about having too many?

If you or your guild are looking to transfer I would comment that T1 has lots of blobs and lag. Don’t neglect to check out T2 where you will find a thriving gvg scene with some very skilled fighting guilds, less blobs and less lag.

What is baffling is why Anet does not listen to the player base, what the people supporting and populating this game mode ask for and give feedback about.

No one asked for the ruins, no one asked for a little sPVP area smashed down in the middle of the BL. No one asked for more buffs to stack over population servers advantages even more.

There are plenty of other issues in WvW that are talked about every day that they could be working on. Instead out of the blue they create some random idea that no one wanted or asked about, and expect it to succeed?

The level of disconnect and obliviousness here is very concerning.

Apparently players who give feedback on the forum are only a small, vocal minority and do not represent the general population of wvw at all, in any way shape or form. Anet somehow know what those silent players want without actually communicating with them. They’re actually very clever!

I’m not sure what exactly the point of your post is. The other night on EB, Oceanic time, we got wiped off the map. We had 5 or so players trying to back cap our stuff back. Given the numbers we use to have, that was pretty weak. We have lost a couple of guilds to the blobfest that is T1. The reality is there are many, many fairweathers on our server who don’t like hard fights. Please don’t patronise other servers by boasting about how strong we are. The reality is that when the going gets tough many TC’ers get going to pve or where ever.

…cause fighting the outmanned server is so much easier than fighting the server with equal numbers. You will love the matchups with the leagues lol.

Umm, there is no trick. Those servers that have beaten him are currently the biggest overflow/guest zerg servers BECAUSE they’re the top pop servers. Dragonbrand – 2 days 70% best we’ve done currently a handful of people onsite with the rest all trying to guest elsewhere. Your numbers in this thread mean very little with guesting so rampant.

There is co-ordination and team work involved. For you to suggest that it’s just numbers is pretty silly.

Unlike some of the other posters that try to sugarcoat things, I won’t. TC barring a very very few minor exceptions, has weak builds, tactics, and organization. I did not find fighting TC a challenge, and overall I would say that because of TC, this week of wvw was dull…..

I have to admit Aurust, wiping your blobs when we are outnumbered more than 3:1 can get difficult. Doable but tough.

I hope one day TC has your coverage so we can monoblob on all 4 maps 24/7 and then we can come to the forums and smack talk lesser populated servers about how bad they are. When that day finally arrives we can genuinely pat ourselves on the back in the knowledge that on a tiny part of the internet, anonymous as we are, we are cool! And if our opponents suggest that we might be better off investing our time in a sheltered workshop and that we have some sort of sorry borderline personality disorder, well they are just jealous of our mad blobbing skills.

I’ve never seen Twinbros in WvW on TC and I don’t really pve. If something smells like a troll and looks like a troll… You know the rest.

Personally I have my fingers crossed for another matchup with JQ, in my view the best T1 server to fight. TC has had far too many matches with servers with less 24/7 coverage than us and a scant few matches with servers with better coverage. We deserve more tough matches.

It appears to me you have a chip on your shoulder about TC but don’t worry, I will still recommend FA as a good server to consider transferring too to anyone or any guild looking for a T2 server. Personally, I enjoy fighting FA when you field decent numbers.

Stay classy, TC. Spawn camping CD everyday outside of NA prime and then running into the keep and jumping on siege if you get pushed at all. And spamming emotes as you kill 5-10 uplevels with 20-30 people.

I’ve seen a few comments along the same line as this in this thread. Late last year there was a a few weeks where CD had a huge number advantage over TC and smashed us… Take a guess at what CD did outside of NA prime time every night without exception?

lol, the people that were on CD last year are the very same people who now populate the higher tier servers including yours. Those who were camping you back then are more than likely to be the exact same people you are playing alongside now.

Luckily for us on CD, the 2-3 guild exoduses we’ve experienced have removed some of the more toxic players from our community.

PPT doesn’t matter except for the first minute and who ever leading wins. Soo CD won it was 8/6/6. CD is now better than FA and TC boom.

Anyway on a not so goofy note. I had great time last night in EB with gismor and friends. CD actually got our WP up before anyone on map (ik tc you got it up like 30 secs later in eb too). We had a great time we where planing on omega rushing everything but then we got bored cuz omegas take to long to build and we took what we made out think it was like 12-14 omega’s and we cap smc and got into inner of tc keep.

Anyway great night hope we didn’t lose that wp when i log in.

When the TC WP popped in EB I looked at the map and there were no other WP’s on any of the maps (I only bothered looking because I qued all the upgrades). Maybe there’s a delay in enemy WP’s appearing on the map? At any rate it was a fun reset but I did have to wonder at the order of targets on your golem rush list, I’d have started with SM. It was good fun.

It’s funny too to read the odd poster qq’ing about TC blobs when in EB we were running at least four different groups and CD and FA were running either one or two groups. NB: for the qq’ers, I don’t care how other servers play the game, having the opposition turn up in these silly lopsided matches is enough to keep me happy.

The entire guild I am apart of on TC was disappointed when we saw that we were still matched up against BG and SOR Friday. Pretty much all of the main WvW guilds have decided to sit out of WvW and do fractals and other PvE stuff instead of give the other two servers free bags it would seem.

Your suggestion that the main WvW guilds are sitting this matchup out is absolute nonsense.

The real WvW guilds and players are all still showing up, having fun and adapting to new strategies. Real WvW TC players don’t step backwards, no matter what the odds, ever. Despite a bit more lag the regulars are enjoying this match up. When we lose we don’t sit around crying in our milk like babies. When we get beaten know we are going to get better, it’s always been that way.

The fairweathers are awol however and there’s less whining and shorter ques to contend with, so there’s a lot to like about this match up.

The only emotes I’ve received this week have been from SoS players but I wouldn’t try and suggest that that your whole server is accountable for the actions of a few.

To my mind players who emote to try and taunt other players are either adolescents or have an adolescent mentality. Either way, they’re not worth worrying about. No one respects graceless bad sports.

I think, in EB, a couple of nights ago, we were siege-capped because our lovely spy has upgraded our inner lord room rams to catapults. So we had no choice but to PvDoor gates down or build golems.

Also, if I find my chatbox spammed up with emotes from an enemy group, I turn off emotes and just ignore it.

Yeah we were siege capped thanks to FascinatingGift.9875 and all the cata that player built in LL. We were dropping golems at first but they run out eventually, especially when Logan.4796 suicides them when they are left alone.

It’s a pity that a few players feel that their server is underperforming to such an extent that they adopt these methods of play.

Ask Fascinating Gift, the player that put them all there. Dont expect a response though. The player has been reported many, many times with fraps, screenshots and descriptions but Anet haven’t done squat. It’s a pity because this type of play wrecks the game.

We were just having a bit of fun. I trebbed the first wall down and I was on the counter treb we set up to kill the treb on the third floor of SM. We’ve been seeing a lot of new faces in WvW this week so it was a good opportunity for a bit of practice. Hopefully we will still be seeing them after the reset.

Rolling into Pang (the last point on the map that wasn’t green) earlier with my zerg at my back I took a shot from a lone Maguuma defender on a ballista next to the supply stack. You got smashed hard by the zerg but you are in my opinion the very best of players. Some people bring a special attitude to the game and tonight you brought it.
