This just in! The next Elder Dragon has been revealed! Thanks ArenaNet! Kappa
Has anyone else gotten this problem but then when you exit out of the game your FPS keeps being low in regardless what game you launch up? It makes them all run at 25-30 FPS? I have a GTX 670MX and I only really got this problem around a week ago.
I feel like a bunch of minis that are sell-able might be bugged like the Holo Knight, Mechanical Moa, Captain Magnus and others.
I have a simple question for you guys regarding MMOs and GW2 specifically at this point:
Do you think that the Megaserver system and all these new panels and UI that make things super simple as well as other changes that were implemented a while ago like LFG and such break all immersion when playing an MMO? Also other things like instancing from map to map (loading screens) and waypoints, 90% of things being accountbound. I just wanted to see if I am the only one that feels like the world of Tyria feels more like a giant lobby most of the time than an actual world where I want immerse myself. The devs always talk about new compelling content and ways for us to immerse ourselves but if the simple things that just oversimplify and replace everything in the game with UI and tabs that we can access from anywhere, does that not truly break all immersion?
Correct me if I am wrong but MMOs are about immersion and more specifically PvE is about Immerison. WvW and sPvP are fine and I think we shouldn’t discuss them in this topic but specifically to the PvE/RP side of the game.
Am I the only that fears that this patch was all fine and dandy and everyone was super positive and excited. For once we all hoped ANet knew what they were doing and then bammm…. Megaservers. I just dont feel like I am playing an MMO anymore. Not in the traditional sense. The game is now just a giant moshpit. It is soo simplified to the point of where we have no control I feel. I know this might sound like a stretch but it reminds me of the reason I never wanted to buy a Mac computer. Because the computer is so simplified and auto-adjusts, auto-stores, auto-regulates all your stuff that you as a user feel powerless. That is kind of how I feel with this update. Guilds are now just for WvW and sPvP and in the rest of the game they are just a giant serverwide chatbox. I was hoping that Megaservers wouldn’t be so badly implemented. SO many communities are upset at the moment
- the international communities
- the rp communities
- organized guild communities’
Only people who don’t care and like this update are WvW and sPvPers.
Sadly I too might have to become only a PvP player like many others because the PvE system at this point is saddening. It breaks any immersion whatsoever and I don’t feel like I am playing an MMO in the regular PvE world but a giant lobby.
So here is a vid of the NEW NEW NEW Hairstyles that ArenaNet release as part of the Self-Style and Total Makeover Kits! Hope you guys enjoy the vid! Give it a Like, Comment, Share with YOOOOO frieeeends and all that good stuff!
He is Greek, I believe.
Yeah thats how i guessed it, im greek and i got the same horrible english accent xD
I think the accent is actually kinda cool. Sort of rough and manly.
No HOMOsapience. It turns that word into kitten when I try to write it down…
He is Greek, I believe.
Haha, thanks! I wish that ArenaNet let me do some of the voices. I would actually be up to do it even if I didn’t get paid a single penny
A video of me trolling people over server TeamSpeak with some of my favorite celebrity voices. It turned out that people actually found it amusing so I decided to roll with it and see what happens.
Enjoy! Hope you like it! Check out the channel for more vids and giveaways (doing a Starbound one atm)
Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I am going to try the commoner path next time and see how some of the other classes like ranger go
Hey all!
I wasn’t sure what section to post this in so i figured that the Black Lion Trading Co. might be the appropriate place. I wanted to share with you all a video that I just uploaded that shows my take on getting Black Lion Chest Keys faster. I basically get a group of 4-5 people in a party and level up enough to get the level 10 mission and then restart and do the same process. Eventually it starts feeling fun and sort of “speedrunny”. It reminds me of The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time Speedruns (and other games) that I would watch on Twitch.TV every now and then. Anyways let me know what you guys think. Any feedback is appreciated and please feel free to drop a comment if you might have other better and faster ways to get to (and complete) the lvl 10 story missions! :P

Something needs to be done to get rid of it. I don’t mind certain items being Account Bound but “Soulbound” is the burden of every games that deems to have a truly player driven economy. ArenaNet says that the TP and all is all player driven and to an extent it is (like 30%) but in order to add more endgame value and purpose for items to be reused by other players it is better to have them all trade-able. I don’t mind certain achievement point things and living story minis to be account bound… but again NOT Soulbound. I currently cannot do anything with my holo wings or my medium wind helmet other than use them on one character. The new Aetherized weapon system on the other hand I like more. But still “Soulbound on Use”… really? I can’t stress this enough.
I opened the thing and it didn’t display any items to me…. Also I never received the Gold Find Boost so I am basically only stuck with the stuff from the 500 point chest. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hey peeps!
I just wanted to let you all know that I started a guild recently that I am hoping can grow big overtime. The guild is called The Bulgarian Bears [TBB] and you can PM me in-game (Krion.5986). The goal of this guild is to be a mixture of various things ranging from sPvP and WvW to PvE and Dungeons. I myself am a person that plays many games and I would like to make this guild friendly in a way where we can all play on various other games other than Guild Wars 2 whenever we feel bored. I hope people are interested in joining and enjoy their stay.
Here is some background on me:
I’ve played a ton of MMOs over the years and I was involved(and still am to an extent) in video game reviewing, first-looks and guides. My first MMOs were Lineage 2 and Rose Online which I absolutely loved. I also played WoW for a while until the end of TBC – was ranked in the top 200-500 for RBGs. Ever since, played tons of online games but now I have been mainly playing LOTRO PvMP and Guild Wars 2.
In case you are interested in my channels:

www.twitch.tv/krionstudio
As you can see I have a twitch and I am planning on livestreaming some WvW or various guild activities with the people that I will hopefully meet soon.
So, if you are interested please PM me in game or post here. I am open to feedback and suggestions on how to shape the guild and depending on what the majority of people want to focus on more at the start, whether PvP or PvE we will start from there and build up. Happy Gaming!

How can I join?
Character name is Jack Williams.
I used to run the game at 60+ FPS now I can barely run above 22 FPS. I have a Lenovo Y570 Ideapad. I tried everything (new and old drivers) everything is updated and should be fine. Game is being unstable. They have to fix this…
Will you make the game more compatible for PC? Countless numbers of players have been having FPS drops recently from high 60s and 80s to 10s and 20s. Also, there have been many crashes and compatibility issues. What graphic drivers should we be using atm to get best performance?
The Nvidia Optimus Drivers aren’t compatible with GeForce 555M I think. I just tried and it said not compatible with hardware. Also it is already set to NVidia GPU at “Select the prefered graphics processor” I don’t see a preffered GPU option
So here is the problem. I used to be able to run this game at 60+ FPS at launch. Then around November/December there was a sudden FPS drop to about around 20-30 FPS. I have a Lenovo Y570 and I have my drivers updated, I have tried both old and new version and I even reinstalled Windows 7. With the coming of the New Year I now can’t literally play this game on my computer because it crashes at the launcher. I figured out that it wont run on windows 7 so I ran it in compatibility mode windows service pack 3. The FPS and speed was obviously terrible once again. I then re-installed the game again and I deleted the documents folder which fixed the Windows 7 issue… so the game now runs without having to use Compatability mode but it is once again at 10-20 fps at low settings. What is wrong? I was able to run this on high settings at 60+ fps before but now I can barely run it at low settings above 18-20 FPS? Also it doesn’t matter what the settings are on… high or low… it still runs at the same FPS… No vertical sync or stuff like that is enabled and the game is run with administrator
What would you say is the most populated EU server around the clock overall?
Disconnected after falling off into the lava pit at the end of the battle 0__0
Nobody got legendaries, don’t be silly.
It was a fun, extended event. And I can understand there being some frustrations for some, but for the majority it was excellent.
More please, ArenaNet.
So it’s excellent when the majority is being pleased. Alright.
Sarcasm?
Some people got legendaries, rares and skins.
Just changed title. Better?
So is this one time or can we go back to it?
Sorry, if I caused any confusion. The starting zone battles and all were good but there isn’t much replay to them. This is the first(second if you count Mad King) endgame battle that gives good drop and is fun. Also for the amount of people that were there, which was a lot, it didn’t lag even nearly as much as the dragon bosses.
Hey all!
I just went through the Ancient Karka battle and I have to admit that it is truly the first good Boss Encounter in GW2. It had decent loot and it was fun. ArenaNet, if you are reading this you should know that people really like boss battles like Mad King and Karka and that if you increase rewards (and not just add pebbles) people will really enjoy the endgame more. What my suggestion is that you fix the loot on the Dragon Bosses and then people will once again be pleased. The reason is simple- the Dragons are fun overall as a fights (except for some of the lagg and rendering which we are sure that with time you will fix) ,but if you add more loot and rewards there would be more incentive for players to repeat the content.
