I wish I could inspect just to see what armor or weapon model they are using. I have seen some really cool weapons & armor & have no clue what it is. Leave out the stats, just give me the name of the weapon / armor to I can google how to get it.
Anet has stated that they will NOT add mounts, there has been thousands of treads asking for this from anet, they have said, NO! pay respect to that.
Care to link that quote? All I have been able to ever find was them saying the game would not have mounts at launch.
Lots of people complain or say they would ruin the game, but I have yet to see a single reason that could not be easily fixed or was beyond “WoW had mounts, so I hate mounts.”
How about more options / control in general? I actually want more people, and for them to load further away. My gaming PC is 2 years old and still runs the game on mad settings at 45-55fps, running through LA is annoying b/c I can run across town then have to wait 10-20 seconds for everyone to finish popping up.
TL;DR the population cap of WvW maps is a practical function of the limits of technology. Adding tourists would use resources that could be used for players, no matter how you spin it.
Think of it this way, those players will be there trying to get world map completion either way. Either they are spending tons of time dying and not contributing, or they are spending a little time to quickly finish off the map.
I don’t agree with the OP 100%, but the fact is that the “tourists” are in WvW right now, climbin’ in yo windows, snatchin’ yo people up, tryin’ to complete ’em some maps.
Titan: I don’t care to see anyone’s build, if you want to be a super secret elitist that’s fine. I could care less what your points are in, or what rune, sigil, etc you have on the items. I just want to know what that cool helm, chest-piece, sword, etc is that I see someone standing around the TP with.
The reason this would be a bad idea is because then everyone would use it when forming groups, excluding those who they feel are using sub-par gear. It’s a bad idea on so many fronts it’s not funny.
You listed ONE reason, that doesn’t really qualify as “so many fronts it’s not funny.”
There is already a lot of elitism in GW2, people get excluded for not being 80 for a lvl 40 dungeon or not having experience on a specific path. People will ALWAYS find something to use in this respect.
Banono: You can’t have anything like Gearscore in GW2 since there are no addons. There is already a lot of elitism in GW2.
There are also several solutions for using the inspect as a way to measure gear.
For example :
- The system could list all items as what they are transmuted to look like
- It could display only the highest or lowest level item that uses that model.
- It could just display the name of the item without stats or rarity coloring.
I’m sure there are other solutions to keep people from using it as a measuring stick, but that is what I could think of in 5 minutes. It seems like people don’t want it because other games have it and some do it poorly.
Care to elaborate? Searching the suggestion forum doesn’t seem to work.
This is 100% the reason I did not buy them…. There are several things I would love to buy, but refuse to buy them for each character. Also why I have never bought dye packs and never will.
At least in the collections area it would be extremely helpful. I have several full stacks of ore, wood, and cloth taking up space in my bank because it only stacks to 250. Just buying 2 laurel starter kits is enough to give you more than a stack of certain materials.
It would also be nice if it was possible to combine consumables that have charges. For example if I have two “stacks” of basic salvage kits, one with 4 charges and another with 17, it would be nice if I could combine them. This also applies to harvesting items, it get annoying have multiple partial stacks of picks or axes that I end up having to throw out to make space.
My guild has 400+ members, most of which are very active. We have had a few issues with a couple people in the past, and one of them has created a guild with the same name, they just added a letter to the end of it. There is only a handful of them, and they are acting like jerks on the server and claiming to be us.
Several member have put in tickets about this, but no one has heard anything back, are we correct in assuming this is something that Arena will address? Their sole intent seems to be to ruin our guild on our server.
Please give us the option to turn this off, please.
