I logged in yesterday for about 5 minutes and everything on my account was fine. I log in today and it tells me I have the incorrect password, so I change the password and when I get in my characters are naked with all my gold, armor and weapons gone. My account was hacked, but I didn’t get an email authenticator or anything. It’s pathetic because I play the game twice a week and never use my details anywhere else, and I didn’t even have much on my account, yet the little I had has been wiped. As soon as it happened I told my guild mates, and they said nothing will be done, but it’s depressing because I didn’t do anything to deserve this. Has anyone else recently been hacked through no fault of their own?

Just happened to me aswell, it’s pathetic because I play the game once a week and I barely had anything, yet its all gone. About to open a ticket now.

Very strange and unique Headpiece issue

Okay so I have had this issue for the past month now thinking it might resolve itself through a patch. On my costume select screen there is no ‘SHOW HELM’ checkbox or option. I’ve searched everywhere in graphic settings and have asked many people in game and everyone is clueless. I can show the helm for normal armor fine, but I don’t even get the option to hide or reveal costume head pieces for any of my characters.

P.S I have purchased total make over kits for both characters I cannot get this to work, if this has any relation to the missing check box.

I’m in eu player who was in the same position as all of you yesterday, just annoyed, frustrated and fed up. Wasn’t even about the chest anymore it was about the customer service, and the way in which they handled the entire situation (I was sent the email saying I didn’t qualify too). Today however I was sent a chest in the mail so I’m guessing most of you will too at some point today or tomorrow. It’s taken quite a while, and a lot of fighting but at least they’re doing something about it. Hope you guys get yours too at some point, just try to stay positive.

I am not sure on what criteria the redistribution of rewards for this event was decided. I was cheated out of my loot on the day and submitted a ticket. Now I have an email telling me that if I havent received the items by now, I didnt meet the criteria. So what exactly would those criteria be? I spent hours on this event. It was long. it was difficult. It wasnt fun. It was expensive in terms of high repair bills and hardly any loot from anything I killed. I missed the loot chest because I got killed on the spiral ramp by the hordes of little spiders during the final stages. It took so long to fight my way back from the waypoint through the respawns, and the chest was there for such a brief time, just as I ran up to the spot it had disappeared. Do you really think I would have submitted a ticket on this for no reason. Still I have not had any reward for this event. This is very disappointing, and I will most likely keep well away from any similar event in the future. I have no confidence whatsoever that taking part would be worth the effort and frustration.

Read some of the earlier messages, I’m equally as frustrated but I trust they’re doing all they can on the technical end, and Gaile is doing all she can on this end too! Don’t worry I’m sure we’ll be rewarded!

So let me see if I’ve got this down. My entire guild, and basically everyone else I’ve seen, gets a second, third, sixth chest, but I do not. What kind of college trainees code for Anet anyways? Everything that happens reeks of amateur failure.

After almost 1,100 hours played (as a ranger, please kill me now) this is the last straw. I can’t do it anymore. Done with the game after this weekend, which sadly is the weekend I’ll be getting a legendary.

Flame on, idiot fanboys. I no longer care.

You’re getting lengendary, and on a Ranger, without doubt the best profession in the game. (Yes, I’m serious!)

Don’t give up now. We’ll get this sorted and I really think you’ll continue to enjoy the game, especially with Wintersday coming and more cool things in the future.

And no, I’m not paid to post this stuff. Yeah, sure, I post, but this one is coming from the heart.

You honestly reckon ranger is the best? blushes oh stop you , hopefully I get a leaf of kudzu precursor for my ranger in my reward then wink wink :p

Gaile, I got a chest even though I did not participate in the final event. I was in Southsun Cove earlier in the weekend and logged in just after the Ancient Karka event ended. After some hesitation I opened it, assuming it was for being in the zone earlier in the weekend (or having gotten my account into Southsun when the even was officially still going on) and just not having the time to participate and/or for responding to the questionnaire that was sent out after the event.

Were any of these reasons to get the chest and if not what should I do with the items i got from it? destroy them?

Okay well Gaile has actually managed to calm me down a bit now, it does help when you have someone like this interfacing with the public. I just hope I actually get compensated for that disconnection I worked ages for that and honestly I’m tired of fighting and being disappointed. I don’t like posting on here in frustration, I want to be able to say nice things about arena net, so far even since playing Guild Wars 2 the nicest thing about it is probably Gaile.

I feel the same way, most we can do is hope we atleast get something and if not keep complaining. I just can’t believe people who hadn’t logged on for days are getting them, that’s a real kick in the face.

I still haven’t received my chest, I’m being patient but I’m receiving a lot of automated responses and abuse for this, it makes it so frustrating and even more frustrating that people who hadn’t logged in for days are getting them, on top of people getting second ones. It’s nice and all to say thank you to arena net, but it would also be nice to atleast receive and apology, or something other than an auto response. Gaile Gray was happy to hear a thank you, but as a human too it would be nice to hear a ‘sorry’ or a ’we’ll help you as much as we can’ or even a ’don’t worry’.

well i have fren who didn’t even log in for the 3 days event. And he still gotten the chest.

It is ridiculous and just plain hurtful to see this, I have been waiting for some sort of compensation since this event happened, I was there doing the event for 2hours+ and people who hadn’t event logged in for the duration of the event are receiving compensation. What was the requirement then? absenteeism? Would I have been in a better situation of receiving and event loot chest had I not logged in at all? This is just salt in the wounds.

It’s absolutely unbelievable that I still have not yet received my compensation for this? I was one of the first players to report this issue and I have been waiting patiently since the event ended. The message I received from arena net said that if I didn’t meet the requirements I would have not been sent a chest, however I was there, for 2 hours doing the event. How could I possibly not meet the requirements? It’s so frustrating that players who didn’t even claim, or were even able to loot the chest have received items and yet I still haven’t. It literally feels like arena net don’t care, yet if I was using a bot or a third party program, they would somehow be able to argue exactly when and where it was used and what I was doing. I’m so deeply disappointed with the customer service and I don’t even know what to do anymore.

Like all the other thousands of people who cancelled plans for the 3 hour one time only event and were screwed over at the very end only to be booted from the servers not being able to re-connect for hours, I want an update on what is being done to rectify arena nets huge failure. I was told they are looking into it but there is no evidence on the site that they are. An update would be nice at least considering this is anets fault.

After 3 hours of an unrelenting laggy event, and a repair cost soo steep the game isn’t even worth playing anymore, I was disconnected at the climax of the final boss, but into an alternative overflow then when I finally got back to mine it had finished and I missed the loot chest or whatever. They clearly have evidence of event participation and they know where we were in the last 3 hours, I encourage you all to NEVER let this down. If you feel equally cheated by Arena net then persist this, we have done nothing wrong and NEED compensation. What type of mmo doesn’t listen to it’s fans? Ones that have failed in the past. I am not letting this down and neither should any of you. This is ridiculous.

The Lost shores was by far the worst additional content we have ever seen for a game and was a pathetic and complete failure. I know a lot of people have already decided to quit and boycott the gem store but I want Anet to know and understand how unreasonable and inconsiderate they are being. They are turning this game into all the other mmos before it that have failed miserably.

I just wanted to clarify though however because the halloween items seem completely temporary, I purchased a costume this morning but I want to know if I will still have it AND the costume skills once the halloween event is over? I purchased it under the pretense that it works like any other costume except this is temporary purchase, not temporary duration.

I do feel mislead If it does disappear after the event I’d like to know atleast before I consider buying another one because then I could assess the worth of a 700 gem temporary costume.

Okay guys I know what might have happened, basically make sure your inbox is empty of those spam messages from gold sellers, once I cleared my inbox I received alot of mail that I couldn’t see before because my inbox was full but I kept deleting the spam mail and eventually it arrived, I guess it was a case of inbox being too full to receive any more, would have been nice to get the heads up from a net though, mailbox capacity needs to be made clearer.

I just spent 700 points for the Mad king thorn outfit, can’t say I’m surprised I received nothing in the mail but my gems were deducted, so now I’m 700 gems down with nothing to show for it. It says it’s in my recently purchased items but there’s no way I can redeem it and the gems are already long gone. What am I supposed to do? Has this happened to anyone else?

I’m having the same issues when trying to link my Guild Wars 1 account. I enter my details & get redirected to a broken webpage:

I submitted a ticket, but it’s been over a week & I’ve had several circular replies from GMs saying that I wasn’t entering my details properly (this wasn’t true as I was using -exactly- the same details as I use to log into my GW1 account), one asking for all of my account details only to receive a reply that ignored them & the website error in favour of telling me I should use the website to link my accounts.

I had to sent a multiple page update to my ticket with all of the Customer Service responses over the past week back again. I finally received a reply saying my problem was being escalated, but this was over 5 days ago & I’ve still not heard anything. I’m kind of doubting, now, that I’ll ever be able to link my accounts as it seems to be something the Customer Service team can’t or won’t do & the ‘senior’ team are indifferent to.

I made a post earlier out of frustration and annoyance saying they don’t care and they will never fix it which they hastily infracted meaning they know this is an issue but are not even bothering to update us or giver us useful information about it. It’s like they lack the capacity to empathise with our situation. Anyway I’m experiencing the exact same error, if any of you are aswell be sure to report, the more people who report the more likely they will be to do something about it.

Hall of monuments calculator is now down completely. What’s the point that was never the issue in the firstplace. Why aren’t we being updated, account linking is still broken.

Fiery Dragon Sword does not appear in the PVP tab, for either me or my brother.

I have a similar error to this, on the site it gives me various error messages when I try to link accounts and sometimes it even errors soo badly that it says it’s worked when it hasn’t I have no items in game. Doesn’t look like this will ever be fixed, arena net doesnt know how to deal with this :/

I have no idea what to do and what I’m doing wrong. It’s such as shame and I feel like all my efforts in gw1 are now wasted as I can’t even link my Hall of Monuments. Please anybody if you have any idea what the problem is or any clue on how to help reply or message me. Please Arena net or someone release a comprehensive tutorial on how to link guild wars accounts.

I cannot even create a support account to report this huge issue due to another site bug whenever I try to login to support, ‘The username or password you entered is incorrect or your account has been disabled.’

So now these site issues are cyclic and all of mine and I’m sure other players problems are being merged into one. This is seriously frustrating coupled with various ingame bugs that I haven’t even got around to reporting yet. Atleast if Hall of Monuments and account linking was working it would make returning Guild Wars customers feel abit better about the money and time they spent on Eye of the North.

This feels like a post that most site moderators are going to overlook aswell and never reply to let alone take it up, but atleast other players if you have experienced any of these issues then make a similar post or post a reply on this one. They think the account linking system is running immaculately because new players haven’t reported or complained about it but we have to make them aware or this issue for the sake of returning arena net customers who purchased Guild Wars 1 and Eye of the North. If they’re ever going to do anything about it, which at this point in time seems highly unlikely, then more people need to report their HoM issues because in game I asked around and I was not the only one.
