My main is a wvw thief, I recently stepped into spvp for the first time a few days ago. D/D backstab build 0/6/6/2/0 was totally useless. I was forced to try something else. I didn’t want to give up dual daggers, so I decided to try condi D/D for craps and chuckles. The first match I tried it, people were getting mad in map chat lol. I heard them calling it trolltrop build, so this is probably far from original. Killing people 3v1 and it was my first time trying this build, and first day entering spvp. I’m sure I was just going against crappies, but was still fun. :P

Carrion amulet was working for me in spvp, but dire might be better in wvw. As for runes, I used krait. Stacking skale venom with the torment on elite skill use from krait runes + steal daze applies a ton of pressure.
I’m sure this could be refined, but I was getting people to 20+ bleeding stacks fairly easily. Using orrian truffle and meat stew (might on dodge + 40% endurance regen) in wvw would be awesome for this build imo.
Could swap 2 points in Shadow Arts for Mug. Both seemed to work fine, but I’m so used to having shadow refuge to save my kitten as backstab build.
This minor trait is extremely frustrating and causes me to die all the time. Casting cloak and dagger then bam, get hit + stealthed then break the stealth instantly with cloak and dagger…
I say I feed their families enough through use of the money grubbing cash shop.
Mug is such a wicked talent in WvW, I use basilisk venom + steal combo all day.

Ya this game was awesome for the first month that I played it, but now I see how slowly it’s progressing content wise. This is a mega turn off for me to continue using the cash shop. I think I’ll save my bucks for ESO monthly. xD

I like how the last sentence contradicts the whole point of the infraction lol. They state that they might not know what I’m talking about, but they’re still going to punish me anyways. Zzzz… GMs clearly just like to drop the ban hammer.
Stealing from a warrior and using that spinning axe skill in the middle of a WvW zerg is awesome.
Elementalists are broken in WvW. They can continuously kite 5-6 people across the entire map while spamming invulnerability moves + stuns + slows + snares.
Language rules basically equal stripping me of a right to free speech. Also a 72 hour punishment is fairly harsh imo, I lose ~10% of my playtime out of this month because someone didn’t like what I said? (Which is even worse for me since I use cash shop) There should really be a warning before 72 hour ban, as the GM obviously loves using the ban hammer. (I assume one of my slurs offended him)
I liked to use dual daggers and caltrops, with trickery and acrobatics traits at low levels. Also you have to constantly be moving as a thief, and buying new equipment every 10-20 levels is near mandatory imo.
Not sure where to post this, sorry if this is the wrong section. I mainly just do WvW and I’m finding it hard to see why thieves need such nerfs. Instead, maybe teach the other classes some tactics to use against us instead of just nerfing the class.
Other classes are easily on par, or superior to the thief in many aspects, the main thing other classes are good at is survivability. Why does a thief’s burst need to get nerfed when other classes can easily heal through it, stealth, or spam evasive maneuvers. Also, other classes can hit just as, if not harder than a thief. (12K killshot from warrior, 4-5K AoE hits from a guardian [like come the kitten on], elementalists have stun + spam invulnerability/evasive movement skills while burning you down with conditions and repeatedly healing themselves, mesmer can stealth and hardcore nuke with shatter, these are just a few situations off the top of my head) I’m fine with other classes being complete bullkitten in WvW, but stop nerfing thieves. Teach people how to deal with the class,. Stealth does barely anything, I often slay enemy thieves while they are stealthed by predicting their movement.

Armor looks weird cause it’s dyed midnight fire, which makes it react differently to light it seems. Also graphics are pretty much bare minimum for WvW, if I turn them up any higher I basically can’t do anything in a fluster cuck in EB.
I found leveling to be very easy and fast. Just get 100% on as many areas as possible and do daily every day.

My character’s hands clip with daggers on both sides when sheathed, is this ever going to get fixed? Also when a thief sheathes their weapons the animation looks funny since he holds them counter balanced, but draws/sheathes them as if holding them normally. Very miniscule, but sloppy on devs part.
