You’ll get some in your personal story. They had two you could get in the Halloween event. Now you can get them at the ascended tier I’ve read. That’s all I know of.

Edit – Forgot one – the guild armorer has a backpack too

Okay, so the event triggered at just gone 8pm on my overflow server. I started suffering from chronic lag (almost as bad as last night’s event), ended up being kicked back to the character select screen and then logged back in to find the event has either finished already or crashed!

As the title states, what happened?

For today: the monstrous corrupted crab that never made it out of the beta.

Noll appears to be bugged on Desolation. I’ve logged off now because I got fed up waiting for him to spawn.

I use karma to buy gathering tools in Cursed Shore, but other than that, it just sits in my inventory giving me a rather cheeky grin every now and then…

For today, the view from a vista in Cursed Shore.

Here’s me today. Found a nice spot whilst jumping to a vista in Malchor’s Leap.

I take back what I said about the champion centaur. I just went and fought him again only to find myself getting annoyed at his AoE spells and the invulnerable elementals that knock you down.

I think this is a great idea. +1 from me!

I love fighting the dragons. The Shatterer is by far the coolest, but the Claw of Jormag gives a greater sense of achievement than the other two.

I also enjoyed fighting a Champion centaur in the north-east of Harathi Hinterlands. There were at least 30 people trying to bring him and down and he just took everything like a boss (no pun intended)! I’ve only fought him once, but he’s definitely worth having a go at. I think he spawns at the end of a DE chain…

I’ll say +1 this, but if the option to change aspects of current characters isn’t implemented, won’t it be a wasted feature for veteran gamers?

I believe that’s in Dredgehaunt Cliffs (or possibly Timberline Falls, they all look the same).

It used to be free to transfer at any time. This upset a lot of WvW players so Anet made it so that one could only change once every 24 hours. This still wasn’t desirable so now it’s once every 7 days, still free of charge. Just keep checking the server list and attempt to change to Blackgate whenever you can. If it hasn’t been 7 days since you started in whichever server you’re currently inhabiting, then it will simply deny you the transfer. If you’re eligible to transfer (i.e. it’s been 7 days) then the transfer will be instantaneous.

Aside from the dragons (honestly, who doesn’t enjoy showing Tequatl who’s boss?) I really like fighting centaurs and branded. I’m still not sure why…

I can understand wanting to solo dungeons, but to make dungeons soloable would be to undermine the name of the game: GUILD Wars. By making dungeons and certain events (dragons, champions, etc.) group-focused it encourages the formation of guilds.

Most likely you were mobbed, defeated (thus, a piece of armour was damaged) and then revived by another player. When your armour breaks, I believe itautomatically unequips itself and stays in your inventory until you repair it.

Boat. That is all.

I love sneak peeks and easter eggs, so I went looking! There are three beached whales in Lion’s Arch (the first is dead, the others are alive) and also some large ships. Interestingly, the whales are surrounded by water buckets, but pouring water on the whales doesn’t seem to have an effect.

What about the Mist Walker armour (as per PvP Locker)? I really want the coat from that set, but I can’t find it anywhere in PvE…

Edit: It’s a medium armour set.

Deep Sea Dragon perhaps?

I’d love to see the Kodan as a playable race. My thinking is, if a future expansion allows access to the Far Shiverpeaks (as part of a Jormag story arc) then a Kodan home city may appear.

My only thought on this subject, though, is the fact that ALL Kodan (except the Voice) wear the same armour and wield a hammer… Kind of screams “GUARDIAN”…

I don’t think making all armour available to all classes is a great idea – it would nullify the need to separate the armour between heavy, medium and light. However, if they brought out a third form of transmutation stone that allows you to place the aesthetic appearance of a different armour class onto your armour (but, for the sake of different armour types, not the stats) then that would be cool. It’s unlikely to happen though. Can you imagine an elementalist casting fire whilst wearing huge plates?

I’m not colourblind at all, but I think this is a really good idea. I usually use colourblind assist on games because it makes stuff that I can already see (or just about see, when it comes to the red circles) so much easier to see.

I’d be more than happy if this was implemented.

So far I’ve had nothing to complain about on GW2…until now. I’ve been reading various sources about this special event all saying “you don’t want to miss it!”, so here’s me thinking “okay, it’s probably going to be a massive group event to take down Mad King Thorn”.

Well, I was half-right…

So Thorn popped out of the fountain – no surprise there. I then realise that it opens up a one-time dungeon. Okay cool, I like dungeons. I’m prompted to enter the dungeon on Explorable Mode (Level 2) – right, it’ll probably put everyone in various servers and scale players down to suit all levels. How wrong was I?

It put me in a level 80 dungeon with masses of mobs AND Mad King Thorn (an elite boss) ON MY OWN. How on earth am I expected to enjoy being whitewashed almost immediately?! I go down within seconds, die, respawn at the waypoint next to the entry point and attempt to leave. BUT NO – before I can make the three steps to the exit I’m downed and defeated once again. Fortunately, third time lucky, I was able to exit after that respawn; but now I have to go and repair my armour and reflect on plans that I turned down in order to “enjoy” this “special” event.

Sorry, ANet, but you’ve let me down here…

Here’s my level 80 norn ranger. Full duelist armour (sporting Midnight Fire and Ancient Silver dyes), Bite of the Ebon Viper longbow and Traveler’s Ceremonial Scimitar of Rage greatsword. My pet is a juvenile eagle.

I’d go for that. Saves my karma being sat doing nothing.

I originally tried that option, but no. Items bought from karma vendors cannot be sold

Is there any way of implementing a feature which will allow us to exchange karma for gold? I’ve got 73k+ karma on my level 80 ranger and it’s completely useless to me. I’ve got full exotic gear, so there’s nothing available from karma vendors that would benefit me in terms of armour/weapons/accessories, and I’m not a chef, so buying ingredients from karma vendors is a waste. On top of this, I can’t give it to a friend in need and I can’t transfer it to one of my lower-level characters. I have no intention of crafting a legendary weapon so there’s no need for me to save it.

Can you please consider adding a way of exchanging karma for gold, whether through karma vendors or the Trading Post. Perhaps 10k karma = 1 gold or something. I want to make use of the large purple number in the bottom-left corner of my inventory and to actually be benefited by the latest update (which gives karma for daily achievements).

New areas pretty much go hand-in-hand with new races, so there’s no reason why the new areas won’t be lower-levelled to support a new storyline. I don’t want them to raise the level cap for the reasons you’ve given – I’ve bought most of my exotic items from the AH and I don’t really want to find that they’re going to become as effective as white gear come the next expansion. I agree with IceBlink, though – it would be great to earn some more trait points.

Is this the only vista you don’t have? This jumping puzzle is way easier than the Vizier’s Tower in Straits of Devastation., which happens to have a skill point, vista, chest and boss at the top.

ANet will almost definitely not move this vista based on one person’s disappointment. If you really want to go for it, find a video on YouTube explaining the route and then just take it slow.

I’m also from the UK and I’m not hugely bothered about the “late” release time for us EU players because the content is free! If you had bought the DLC and then realised that it would be released on US time (as has happened to me on many Xbox games) then your argument would be valid; but ANet have given us this DLC free. FREE. Okay fine, you’ll miss the start due to it being a Monday night. So what? Whilst US players will more than likely miss the end due to time constraints we EU players will more than likely play up until the event ends.

I’ve always liked the ability to preview items before equipping/buying them. One thing I’ve been disappointed about is the inability to right-click a member of your party and view their character in a window similar to the Preview screen.

This would make it easier to view your friend’s new armour and such.

Is it possible to implement this?
