You know what would revive the dungeons?
If you could get into them.

Apologies if this has already been suggested, answered or otherwise addressed on this forum, as I am not a regular.
I think it would be excellent if we could get a wider array of dances available to us via the gem store. Those who enjoy their standard dances would not be affected and those of us who would like to spend a little money on ArenaNet for cosmetic value can. I’ve yet to purchase any of the Gem Store town clothes because I don’t often sit in town/out of combat, but new dances would give a level of customization that could be implemented anywhere in the world, so I think they’d be much more popular and generate significantly more money for something that does nothing stat-wise.
I would also recommend you add a new menu or tab in the character screen to switch out your purchased & archived dances at will.

I’ve thought this as well, actually, from the male perspective of norn warriors looking sweet without chest armor and all their tattoos on display.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
I think it’s pretty difficult to actually get an accurate measure of dungeon difficulty when a large majority of players cannot even get into the ‘end-game’ and hardest dungeon due to the door bug. I know plenty of people who have never even stepped foot in Arah, much less fought Lupicus to give their feedback/thoughts on how hard he is.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
What’s the issue with 2? I know one has a ridiculous spawn rate on the set of 3 mobs. As for 2 did it last night with out an issue.
I don’t know if it’s a bug or intended difficulty, but the twin-golem final boss on Path 2 one-shots me even with full tank gear on my Guardian. I have 18k life and 3.1k armor and one lightning attack does 85% of my health.
This is working as intended, actually. Are you sure you’re getting hit by one ‘lightning’ attack and not either:
a) Hit by Mark I, who you are supposed to kite or;
b) Hit by multiple lightning attacks (as Mark II can and will occasionally fire them in rapid succession) or simply running into the resulting static field for additional damage
SE Path 2 has no real serious issues that I know of. That last fight just requires a lot of group coordination that most people aren’t prepared for, but it’s not actually broken.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
I’d at least love some updates and transparency on what’s going on to resolve the issue, an ETA to that resolution, etc.
This is ridiculous.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
With how frequently the avg mmo server gets reset/patched/whatever, it would be significantly better if the dungeon had to be opened ONCE by a large group of people and then remained open until the next server reset.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Yes, big props and huge thanks for all of the hard work and serious dedication to a memorable gameplay experience! Like OP said, while I may not necessarily agree with everything, I understand my opinion does not reflect those of the community at large and I can seriously appreciate the thought and care you guys have put into this.
Can’t wait for the next parts of this event, and all of those to come!
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Waiting hours to get into WvW — the arguable meat and potatoes of this game — with no real acknowledgement on the severity of the problem by ANet is a ragemaker. Is there any type of solution in the works for this? Or even a timer/avg wait time to see if it’s worth staying online?
Honestly, I would pay in $$/gems to get a decent queue time.
Gonna lose it, I swear on my cat’s life.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Mithion,
We started a guild of our own originally and actually have a currently 50 person vent server that I’d be more than happy to offer up if we joined. I’ve added you in game and would love to talk to you more.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Yes, they are. My friends and I started a guild with the intention of keeping it small, but it ended up a little /too/ small and we’re now really just down to the core of us as the few people we managed to recruit dropped off or went inactive. Now my boyfriend and I are just trying to find somewhere to go for the social aspect we’re missing.
It’s a combo “problem” of guilds being super easy to create and thus the over saturation, and the successful guilds boasting 4-500+ people in some cases.
Guild dynamic is very different from other games I’ve played so just trying to learn and adapt.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Real life is kicking in for a few of us so it’d have to be a guild that isn’t against people not logging in all that often. Most of us are 80 though, and interested in just about everything. We’re all adults (18+) and prone to adult senses of humor. No guilds that are “family friendly” to the point of hating on sarcasm or swearing please.
Preference towards ventrilo and guilds under 100 people. Also needs to be on the Tarnished Coast server since we’re not really looking to transfer.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
I did the same thing with a thief. I was laughing maniacally as I slaughtered people with buttons that were 100% new and foreign to me. I should have counted how many times I went, “Omg, what?!” in surprise to the total buttkickage I was managing.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Your influence should be visible in the top right hand corner of the guild window. They’re received in small amounts, so it could just be that you’ve yet to earn any if you just started. Not sure if you start with some or not — can’t recall.
As for not being able to edit permissions, you could be bugged. There were some issues with the guild windows before but I’m not sure if they’re totally resolved. I’d check out the bug report forum.

Hello, Nugget!
Maybe you’d be interested in [DiRA]! We’re on the Tarnished Coast server, but we’re a laid back and tight-knit group interested in experiencing everything the game has to offer. We have an active ventrilo server, guild site and forums, guild emblem, guild stash, and are currently recruiting with the intention of further establishing and maintaining a small and active community. No sea of faces here~
We’re also an 18+ guild with very few exceptions, and all of us at the moment are over the age of 20.
We love old farts, so long as they’re not rancid. (;

Wicked idea. Lots of love to the EU’s for coming up with great guilds like this one. Best of luck, ladies.
Personally I dissagree. We currently have over 10 girls in our clan gaming with us without a problem. Maybe it is because we are a very mature clan, but we never had major issues about perv jokes or whatever. Also pervs will be noticed very quickly and kicked/banned from the clan.
I don’t see why there should be a male or female only Guild, people should game together and have fun, that’s the most important thing in my opinions.
Wish you best of luck, tho.
As a female gamer for over 10 years (all of my teens and adult life!), I can personally attest to the fact that there are serious issues with gender respect across the board. Not all guilds are this way, but to have the option of a safe place to avoid the chance of it completely is a phenomenal idea and very much needed for plenty of women who simply don’t want to deal with it, whether you disagree or not. I’m fortunate enough to have great friends that I repeatedly game with, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still see/experience it from time to time.
The reason you probably have so many women in your guild is because it is a mature one that doesn’t objectify them, and that’s wonderful! But don’t believe it’s the norm, even in this wonderful Guild Wars 2 community. The part about my “talents and contributions being overlooked unless I’m being hit on” specifically resonated with me. It’s not just perversion, which is easy to deal with — it’s about a lack of respect of your capabilities as a gamer, guild member and even a person because you’re a chick.
Top DPS? Well, you probably got the gear that’s helping you because you’re a girl. Not because you earned it.
Officer in your guild? Pff, it must be because the guild leader likes you. Not because you earned it.
Great healer? Hah! Big fish in a small pool, cos girls heal because it’s easy.
These are super common examples, that I’m sure you’ve heard before elsewhere, in regards to someone at some time.
There’s a lot of opinions, articles, etc. on this but at the end of the day, all those do is prove that chicks being vilified or looked down upon is still a very real issue. Sad as that is, we’re not out of the sexist gamer woods yet.
At any rate, lovebump for the Sisterhood with this massive wall o’ text of mine~ <3

Was going to post but saw that you’re not up for transferring off of Jade Quarry. Best of luck though!
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Hi Fiona,
Lots of responses here! It sounds like everything you’re looking for meshes well with what [DiRA] is all about. If you’re not against transferring to the Tarnished Coast server, I definitely welcome you to check us out.

Dira [DiRA]
… is looking for new and experienced Guild Wars 2 players to join the ranks! We’re a smaller guild composed of friends from old/other games, real life friends and general internet miscreants that like our spilly-talk Saturday banter. We’re welcoming if not a little silly, exceptionally helpful and interested in all aspects of the game from WvW to dungeons.
[DiRA] is a small guild that appreciates quality over quantity, and places more importance on individual player skill and the meshing of our personalities than the number in the guild roster. We play often and have no problems gaining influence, and will be keeping the community tight-knit. This isn’t a guild that’s going to be 300 people strong, but if you’re looking for a good group of friends who know how to get their sht together in the interest of seeing what the game has to offer – [DiRA] might be for you.

- Regular Buff Banner Drops
- Ventrilo
- Guild Website/Forums

I looove “Take Root” as an elite ability but don’t have much that’s positive to say about the others.

God King of Words, eh? Hahah.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
And if it’s the former, [DiRA] has all the dirty talk and previously unheard racial slurs you’ll ever need.
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
[DiRA] may or may not strike your fancy. I’ll let you decide. The only thing that concerns me is that you’re against “personal drama, politics, etc.” filtering into our chat and we tend to be exceptionally relaxed about discussion topics and thus.. pretty much everything under the sun is fair game.
That being said, we’re a group of gamers most of whom either know one another in real life or have gamed together before. We’re keeping the guild as a smaller community with the intentions of maintaining a close-knit feeling without cliques or unnecessary in-game dramas. We’re all presently over the age of 20, all with our own real life responsibilities in university or full time jobs, and consider ourselves an 18+ guild with a leaning towards mature humor. We’re PvX with the intention of exploring all aspects of the game, and role play friendly – as in, we don’t harass the role players of the server, but don’t have “events” in its promotion either.
We use vent, we’re on TC already, and you can check out our website at dira.enjin.com

Server: Tarnished Coast
Guild: Dira [DiRA]
Cannot represent guild personally. Not sure for anyone else as I’ve advised other members to not stand down because of the problem.
Cannot spend influence/purchase upgrades, specifically the guild stash.

Ahh, sorry EU role players. Forgot to mention Piken Square ;D
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Just a head’s up that Tarnished Coast is the player designated role play server. If you don’t have any outstanding ties on Yak’s Bend, you may want to consider a server transfer for role play as it’ll be a lot easier to find and the designated RP guilds are plentiful.
Just a thought. Best of luck!
[DiRA] of the Tarnished Coast
Hey Captain Comic,
I definitely share the sentiment about the larger guilds, and I think in GW2 it’s taken to a whole new level because more members makes influence gain a lot easier/faster. Larger guilds just seem more prone to becoming very cliquey, with people feeling ostracized or “outside” even though they share a tag and common goals. Obviously that doesn’t apply to all big guilds and some do it very successfully, but this philosophy is working for us and we’re having a great time.
We’d love to meet you, and you should feel free to message me in game (LADYKiLLER.8152 or “Maev” is my character) the next time you’re on. I can answer any questions you may have there, you can hop into vent and see if we’re a good fit, or I can toss you an invite and see where things go.
Thanks for your interest, and see you in game!

Foul mouthed? Sounds like my kinda player.
Check out DiRA. Small guild, very active, tight-knit and not politically correct in the least. You can hang out in vent to see if you mesh well, or message me in game for an invite.
Edit: And we’re on Tarnished Coast so you won’t have to xfer. Not an RP guild. Here’s our recruitment post here on the forums for more detailed information. I’m cooking dinner or I’d write it all up again for you. <3

Hi ToraBunny,
It sounds like you’re interested in the same style of play that we are! If you want, message me in game and I’ll send you a guild invite or, at the very least, ventrilo information so that you can hang out with us and see if it’s a good fit.
