The good:
- Lion’s Arch really does look incredible. If nothing else, Anet really knows how to decorate for a party.
- I liked that they had an in-game way to get coffers. I’ve always resented the cash shop boxes with the exclusive cool stuff with insanely low drop rate, and can’t support it with real money. I’m glad they’re starting to realize what a kitten move that is.
- Story instances were fun, even if a lot of it was ridiculosly easy.
The bad:
- Click happy achievements are not fun. I finished the taffy and firework ones, but I gave up on the paper dragon achievement with 24 to go because i was so kitten bored with it. I realize they arent spending gobs of time on the living story content, and it really shows with stuff like this.
- Moa races were just a boring money sink. I’m not a gambler, so I got bored with it really fast. I wish they could do something like GW1 roller beatle racing. Now that was fun!
- The fire work show seemed really disorganized with timing, which surprised me frankly.
I can’t comment on dragon ball because I didn’t play it. Overall I thought dragon bash was okay. It doesn’t seem like this is something they plan to make an anual thing, which is fine with me, because it was a little too lackluster for me too look forward to it every year like I did GW events, or Haloween.
I have a funny feeling it might be tassel that is bugged , I noticed a post in the Bug section.
My Jade Staff disappears half way through my back like its embedded through my toon.
poor toon
This game has terrible clipping issues. They did such an awesome job with the armors, it baffles me how they can be ok with the fact that pretty much all the weapons clip with all the armors. I know it bugs the hell out of me when my toon is running around looking like her GS is cutting off her butt!
I ha read that too. So far from the regular coffers I have had a few holgraphic risen knight minis, crap tons of candy and fireworks, and (to my utter shock) one jade weapon ticket, but not one pair of wings. I’m inclined to believe they don’t drop from the regular coffers either.
Agreed. I’d kill for new town clothes. I don’t understand why we’re stuck with one crap outfit when they already have a lot of possible town clothes options in game. The stuff in the gem store doesn’t float my boat, either. I don’t want to look like a kittenty pirate or a line cook while I’m running around town.
I doubt we’ll get either in this release, but hopefully sometime in the near future.
ETA: kittenty is a bad word, eh? Well fine, I don’t want to look like a lady pirate with loose morals. :p

Hey everybody, please keep in mind that we are in the Pacific time zone and most of us just got into the office within the last hour or so.
I hate this growing laziness amongst game developers these days. As if “just got in the office” is some kind of reasonable explanation! With all these iPhonies, PadEyes and Cyborgs there is no excuse for a modern day industry worker not to be productive 24/7. Mr. Katzbach, when we say we want our patch we expect you to put down the steak sandwich you no doubt frivolously purchased during one of your luxuriously decadent “lunch breaks” and give us our patch!
Honestly, the cheek of these guys….
I’m not sure if it is sarcasm, but I’ll go anyway… Are you serious ? They are not machines, they are humans. I hate this growing view of faster productivity and forgetting about the respect of the human body.
Are you that entitled ? They are not working for your sole existence. They have lives you know. You are surely going to be a good employer.
Fact is, everyone will forget it tomorrow. Go do something more productive than whining on the forum
LMAO! Calm down, that was clearly sarcasm. Honestly, who says iPhonies and PadEyes in seriousness?
Winter Wonderland jumping puzzle, Snowball Mayhem PvP minigame, Toypocalypse and Bell Choir were giant improvements over the mad king’s events. Granted the lore to the mad king was better but I think it was a giant step in the right direction other than the redundant Tixx missions. It is to bad they didn’t have a scavenger hunt like the mad kings to get some of the lore about wintersday out in the open.
They couldn’t do a scavenger hunt for Wintersday because they pretty much completely disregarded their previous Wintersday lore. It used to be a battle between the human gods Dwayna and Grenth to see if spring would come or winter would continue. I guess they didn’t want the other races to feel left out, because aside from a small mention by one of the human festival goers, they didn’t incorporate any of that. It’s the secular version of Wintersday, no lore required. :pp
I kind of enjoyed the Mad king event more too, but I’m still having fun. I’m also glad we don’t have to rely on the cash shop for weapon skins and such. I consider that a vast improvement.
Logan.... (Spoiler, only read if you've done Twilight Arbor story mode)

He didnt run away, he went to the Queens aid, there was no winning situation. If he had abandoned the Queen then all of kryta would hate him not just destiny’s edge
Also, Ebonhawke likely would have been wiped out and the queen killed because no other human there would have thought to free the charr prisoners to fight with them.
I didn’t really have a problem with what Logan did in EoD. It wasn’t like he ran off with his tail between his legs because he was scared. I don’t really get Logan and Jennah’s ‘love’, but he did vow to protect her and come when she called upon him. Wasn’t his fault her timing was so crappy.
I went with a noble who had missed an opportunity to perform in the circus. The noble part of it was ok, but I’m not a big fan of Lord Farren. The circus storyline had it’s moments, but I wish I had gone with something else.
I think commoner and street rat storylines are better. I did them during beta, and enjoyed them more than the noble storyline.
Now she’s joined the order of whispers, and I’m having a blast with that. Tybalt Leftpaw ftw!
