I was playing around with build in pvp and i noticed that when you immediately swap weps/enter DS/ dodge while casting wells, they enter full cooldown . This is definitely a bug because i tried skills on guardian that have casting time, interrupt casting will put the skill on 3 secs cool down (with the exception of elite skill).
Update: This bug occurs if you use Rune of Chronomancer

Fortunately for me , i do raids with guildies. If i would have gone to lfg, i wouldn’t likely be picked because people prefer engie for condi, mes/guard for tank, rev/war/ele for dps, druid for healing. I see necro as a so so class because the class does very well in solo but brings minimal support in team play.
Obviously they got annihilated no knockbacks for red orbs. No healers, No rez banner, No might stacking, and whatever else I forgot.
I knew those were the issues but individual reaper should decent healing from minions. I can tank the boss fine with 2 seekers on me. Seeker doesnt always hit you though, it also hits your minions and with 40+ minions, you’re probably gonna get 1 or twice by seekers. Also “transfusion” rez downed allies. I dont have to stop attacking the boss to rez my allies. “Soul Spiral” can teleport downed allies to you and rez them.
Knock back? like CC when breaker bar appear ? We have plenty, that was not the problem. We dont have knock back or push to mitigate seeker but then hiding in Reaper Shroud should shield you a large portion of the damage from seekers.
Might Stack? Yeah, none from sharing, only zerker reaper can get 25 stacks of might through shroud 1 skill which is pretty easy to get up there. I run a condi build in pvp with strength sigil + “Chilling Victory” trait + “Reaper’s Might” trait. It’s pretty easy to get 25 stack of might
The only issue that i think is no boon support between players. We have numbers that’s what i believe that it’s doable with 10 reapers.
It’s also fun to see 40+ minions running around though.
we got to phase 1 at 5:30 . People were not running my preferred build but it was pretty good. We had hard time after phase 1 though.
What was result?
I would like to propose a fun experiment. A 10 mm reaper group for raid. If anyone would like to join please message me. I’m looking for 2 mm builds in particular:

Im hoping the devs are watching closely to the numbers of classes are preferred for raid as we moves forward. For me, it’s not fun being a reaper in raid anymore. When raid was released, people were still trying to figure our the mechanics of the boss. Now that everyone has a good understanding of the mechanics, optimal team comes into place. True that we have access to all the condi, but we offer no support for team play. Every group i’ve asked to join, they would prefer condition engie over me.
Therefore i would like to one of the dev to play a role of reaper in a raid, whether in pug or in organized group. I would like to know their feedbacks.
If a raid’s lacking tank you can tank just fine.
For condi at the moment people seem to prefer engies, rangers, and burnzerkers as first choices. Reapers will do fine. It just depends on how much a particular raid is min/maxing.
I don’t know if this has been this way or been mentioned somewhere else but Necromancer’s Well of Power does not cast on the ground if used to break stun.
Well i’m just going to buy 1000 of these rune then. Hopefully Anet will listen and change it so it will drive the price up. Oops i just spilled the beans.
Most of our guild members are WvW hardcore. Even with experiences we cannot overcome the sheer amounts of players on the other team going around with a group of 40+ . It’s somewhat discouraging our efforts to capture camps and fortify our keeps so the next 5 mins they can be taken. We like a challenging fight, but an outnumbered fight is not a fair fight. Show me a video where a group of 10 can take on a group of 40.
You probably just don’t notice it. It’s pretty terrible without hefty Healing Power investment and isn’t that good regardless.
i tested with 1500 Healing power. Passive effect doesn’t work (i stood still while mobs attacking me). This skill is bad >.<
I do not get the passive effect from the signet. Is it broken ?
Can we have some combo fields for necros ? I think skill like Unholy Feast should be a blast combo field.

It is not something new.Do you actually have a suggestion how to stop this though? Or did you just want to create a thread complaining about it and wait for others to come up with solutions?
I do want to make a thread to complain about it enough to get Anet’s attention. Like you said the problem has been going on for two years. Suggestions ? There are plenty of suggestions out there but how many have been implemented or looked at ? Reporting doesnt work, screenshots dont work.

Seriously, We need stricter policy for WvW regarding to this matter otherwise dont make WvW tournament anymore. This season is terrible, spies kept destroying our seiges and revealing our plans.
Every class except necro and thief has at least two 2-handed weapons. Why cant necro have another 2 handed weapon ? i would like to see something that can complement dagger and axe where i dont really need conditions but boons and damage for party and WvW.
If ArenaNet disable the use of experimental riffle in Arah and half of that list would be gone

Orr farming bring out the worst of people . The difficulties of the events between Meddler and Anchorage enrage players. For the first event, people often blame commanders for not luring champs away from NPCs or players with the bomb symbol on their head running toward the NPCs . This tends to happen when there are many players on the area. I think the solution for it is just do it with a small group but it’s not likely going to happen because everyone wants their precious boxes. For the second event, there aren’t much trouble there but there is sometimes someone there to screw up by killing cauldrons.
And then “lfg staff guardian”,“group looking for staff guardian”. Guardian now has become the most demanding class since the day of Cof path 1 with mesmer and warrior.
Ever since the path came out, i think players have put their self-interest above everything else, myself included. I feel like i’m obligated to farming because it’s easy and highly profitable. This is not what Guildwars 2 is about, is it ?
So ArenaNet, let’s turn those farmers into adventurers again. Let them have cakes!.
lol every time a farm pops up the whiteknights…i mean noobs appear…just play the game and stop complaining. If anything you should be farming too if it’s so broken.
Oh im not complaining, i also farmed champs and i earned a decent amount of gold with it. The thing is that farming champs is so profitable right now that part of me doesnt want to do anything else like running dungeons with friends or going WvW with guild.
If you didn’t know, Anet employees are paid to keep this game running. They’re well aware of the activity in high level maps.
How do they keep the game running ? Improving story and content aspect of the game or the farming aspect of the game ?
ArenaNet, you dont know how much gold players can earn from farming champions. It’s like Pen-Shelt all over again. Is it intentional ?
I would love to see changes in world bosses rewards because it doesn’t make sense to me that Maw gives much better loots than Jormag
Will each individual path reward differently ? Pugs i ran with always want to start out with swamp or water because they are very easy compared to other paths.
What would rather have? A nice fat blue?

If they moved Axe Training out of Master, it would most certainly have to be toned down (Maybe +10% Damage and 20% Cooldown Reduction?). Having both Axe Training and Close To Death (in it’s current form) might put axe damage over the top. The #2 can already reach respectable damage with the right spec and gear.
Exactly, i made a post before where i ran as full glass cannon with axe. The damage is no where close to a guardian who has much less attack and crit damage than me. This would definitely improve axe, also not many traits in Adept are useful imo
Can you move the “Axe Training” Trait from Grandmaster to Adept level in Spite ?
At Grandmaster level i would rather choose “Close To Death”.

I think we should implement a new system which increases amount of taxes on items valued 100g or above, say additional tax of 0.01*amount of gold putting up. For example, for someone is controlling precussor, if he or she puts up a precussor for 600g , he/she would have to pays additional 6% more tax for that item .
i think this would stop the manipulation and also stop people from selling their legendary (Legendary is supposed to be an accomplishment not a way to make a living)

I prefer Apothecary.
Since I’m pretty sure tick damage doesn’t crit, not sure why go with precision. So, healing makes sense too.

If you don’t have the money for Khilbron’s armor, you can also get 4/6 Karma God pieces and farm the rest up with tokens (CM, TA, HoTW or Arah). That’s how I’m doing it right now.

Khilbron is the best set for condition necro imo. you can get up to 1700 condition dmg with the condition build. Use it right and and you can see people drop like flies in WvWvW

When i was getting my karma pvt set, I accidentally purchased leggings that have the exact same stats as the khilbron’s. 48 precision / 48 vitality / 67 toughness. You just fill the rune in.
that must be the temple armors. I was lazy because to get the whole set you need different pieces from different temples. i don’t think you can get the whole set with karma, i could be wrong, but i know you can get with dungeon relics. Still the runes and accessories make this build very expensive

Are you bragging about how much gold you have, or what? You have no new information to share so I can’t see a point for this post beyond that.
The whole point of this post is to see a different build , This build comes with a cost, hence the tittle. Is it better than other build ? I don’t think so but it was decent, versatile and overall balanced build. Im gonna get back to school soon and i wanted to accomplish something, i guess i did.

That is my WvW setup (Well glass cannon) I play full condition support for FoTM as condition damage surpasses direct when it sticks any-day and perma-weakness is king support in fractals (im on level 30 atm)

i use condition build or tank build for FoTM, depend on the group. At boss fight, depend on boss ,i sometimes use glass cannon to stack vulnerability. Necro is only good for suppor, other roles we suck ,i think..

That’s a glass cannon build, nice.
I think the build is not that bad. I ran lv 20 fractal today with a pug and it went quite well, i dealt reasonable dmgs from crit and condition, not so squishy like the glass cannon build because of decent defense, health and healing power. PLUS i have 8% mf, that’s a big deal lol.
That’s right, you might have to sell everything you have to get this build. I mean everything, from your television to the inflatable ball you stole from the neighbor kid.
The whole build costs around 300g >.<. i don’t include legendary weapon nor cultural armor because they don’t give any additional stats
Tested with lv 20 fractal. it was decent, versatile and overall balanced build. Im not dying as much as before plus i do decent amount of dmg. Not as strong as glass cannon build or condition build, not as tough as bunker build, somewhere in between.

Minions are too squishy atm i think. I haven’t seen any high level necromancers use minions build to run dungeons or WvWvW. Im a big fan of running dungeons and I wish they could give minions little bit more survivability meaning more defense and health. For the special dungeon like fractal of the mist, they should give minions agony resistance, lv 10 agony can pretty much take out all minions. Sometimes i feel the essence of being a nercomancer isn’t fully shown in this game. We’re supposed to be resurrector of the death not just death.
Wish they improved minions health or defense because bosses and vet mobs can pretty much 1 shot them all.
i found the glass cannon build is quite supportive to my group when we do dungeons. Even though it doesn’t help with my survivability nor my output damages but the vulnerability stacks benefit other players in my group. So yeah it’s only good when go against boss, not so good when getting to the boss.
Nercomancer because the class is a real bad kitten , real “Bad Kitten”
1. Reduction in Health (about 10k is about right)
2. Keep current Minion AI, make them pull champions, bosses when no needed
3. Increase cd on Epidemic, from 15s to 45 s
4. Decrease number of casts of staff skill #1 (from 1 per sec to 2 per sec)
5. Axe damages reduced
6. No Aoe attack from axe or dagger auto attacks
That would definitely bring necromancer to the most OP class in the game
Perhaps your expectations are too high.
Conditions: not underwhelming. Perhaps you’re doing it wrong.
Tanky/damage: no problem here either, 2nd or 3rd tankiest class in the game.
Vampiric: Could be better but definitely not underwhelming.Post video or all what you are saying is simply pathetic. Perhaps you are doing something wrong with other classes when you say necro is in the top tank class.
Conditions: I can put more and quicker conditions with a ranger/warrior than a necro.
Tanky: any other class can beat this crap. Engi/warrior/guardian/D.D ele/ranger.
Vampiric: LOL, not going to even comment on that.The class is simply bad, it needs a revamp. I tried all the other classes and it is far much better in terms of balance than the necro (i do enjoy the necro/mesmer the most though).
Oh and p.s – Engi also have the right to complain, they are on the same boat as us. But at least they got a good bunker build.

I have all the gears for all those build, personally i like your juggermancer build the most because of high survivability ( im doing fractal with that build) . I wanted to try the glass cannon build to see how ridiculously weak it is compared to other classes. Sure we can work around to make the build better but you gotta agree that necromancer axe needs some serious improvements.
@LanceKing dont get eagle , you get enough crit chance from gear ; instead raw power its beter ,25 stack vul + 25 stack might hurt , hurt alot

Axe auto attack is bad. Very bad. If you want to do damage as a power necro, use dagger main hand. The only reason anyone would use axe is for the #2 ability as a finisher or the #3 ability at the start of a fight when you have multiple opponents (the retaliation stacks its duration per target hit). Never stay in axe long enough to use its auto attack. Its extremely bad.

LOL, also note how many invulnerability stacks the necro screenshot has. Its so sad that several autoattacks are stronger then our actual “burst” skill.
