First of all I would like to add that there is no suggestions sub forum so I thought this might be the next best place to post my ideas. I also thought that the ideas I have would make the game better by making it faster and easier to do certain things which take an unnecessary amount of klicks to achieve. Anyway, to any mods reading this, if there is a suggestions sub forum or something similar, please move this thread to the appropriate location so that it comes to the attention of the developers!
Anyway, without further ado, let me introduce you to my latest invention! the armory! The idea is to make it quick and easy to browse through your equipment & weapons, and store these in the same place(and being able to swap between equipment without having to first take it off of one character, put it in the bank, log into the character you want to play, putting the gear on and THEN doing what you actually want to do).
I would like it to be possible to have a place to store all the equipment I want to keep for nice and easy access, much like the bank lets you store any item you want and make said item occupy one bank slot. The armory will let you store any wearable equipment(armor, accessories, rings, necklaces, weapons).
In the armory tab you can search through your equipment by stats, armor type(light, medium, heavy). alphabeticaly or look at all your available helmets, shoes, pants etc.
Asuming you are currently logged onto a warrior the armory tab will only show armor and other equipment which your current profession can equip.
lets say you have several greatswords and you want to see them you simply type greatsword in the search field and it will show you how many greatswords you have, what stats they are and which character is using each weapon.
Selecting one of these greatswords(or any other type of item with stats on) will simply move the item to the character you are currently using, provided your character can use said item.
So, in a nutshell the armory has:
- A way to store equipment(accessories, weapons, armor) much like bank tabs
*A search function to easily locate and look at the items in your posession
*An easy way to transfer items back and forth from one character to the other
Additional armory tabs could be bought from the gem store.
This feature would only be available to accounts which are not free to play. It could perhaps be used to quickly transfer items from one account to another or some such so this is just a precautionary measure. wether its necessary or not is up to the devs.
Other general QOL improvements
Add improved search functionality into the collections tab!
Make it so I can type in “ectoplasm” or something else in a search box to quickly and easily locate an item! This would be good because it would save time. Not to mention its kinda hard to find stuff if there is too much stuff on the screen(especialy for me with eyesight issues!).
Vendor interaction improvements(more QOL’s)
You could add some options into the options menu which deals specifically with vendor interactions. Lets say there is a predefined option to buy a stack of items of 250(or a number which you can personaly customize up to 250). Upon turning this option on a purchase would ask you “would you like to purchase 250 carrots” or whatever else you are buying and you would only need to klick once to buy a stack of items instead of 250 times and having to klick yes on the same prompt the same amount of times, thats 500 klicks to accomplish something which could be done in one! The added bonus would be players who require alot of items wouldnt have to risk getting carpal tunnel at the end of the day!
A second option(or button) could be added which says “quick buy” or something like that. This would go past the need to even answer yes or no on the prompt wether you want to buy an item or not. And lets say you have the buy stacks option turned on you could just quickly klick 5 times to buy 5 stacks(or how many you would want and could afford).
Another good thing would be to have an option to automaticaly sell junk upon interacting with a vendor.
