They added a character slot if you pre-purchased HoT because existing players complained that they were having to buy the whole base game again since it was included in the purchase price.

After much debate on the forum a few people suggesting an extra character slot as a compromise (since the base game had previously been sold for $10, the same price as a slot, and because people were separately complaining about having to buy a slot to play a revenant).

With PoF they reduced the price and gave you the option to buy HoT as well instead of simply including it.

So there’s nothing for existing players to complain about (or at least they aren’t complaining about that) and no need for Anet to offer a compensation prize.

back when HoT came out I remember that the devs ensured an additional character slot for the old players of gw2, on top of the one in the bundles. Is it so also for PoF or this is not the case since there are no new classes to try?

I wondered if this should be putted in the bug report or not, then I decided to go ahead since it’s obviously a small oversight that must be corrected.
Eir Stegalkin is still in her house in Stonewright’s Steading, in Hoelbrak. I think this location should change for those who complete the story, maybe in the instance we've saw during her funeral.

I’m the leader of the PvX guild Keepers of Gaia, a social and drama free guild based on the server of Ring of Fire. As a general information we have a forum (click on the signature below), a TS3 channel and a Facebook page.

This post comes in 2 different sections:

• Finding more Leaders for the Guild
• Finding more sPvP players in order to organize a Guild Team

About Leaders
We’re 20-30 casual players and we’re usually running missions on Sunday at 16:00 UTC+0 but, as the guild grows, I’m trying to organize our week with more social events, without quitting my real life for this. That’s why I’m looking for more Leaders in order to share this experience, keeping the fun part of it and eliminating the burden of organizing a group of 30+ people!

What do I expect from a Leader:
A good guild leader is a person who understands the importance of socializing with people, who actively search for company while playing and promotes the creation of groups (and friendship) inside the guild.
A leader doesn’t have to play a lot, he/she just needs to direct and participate in the guild’s story. A leader must be patient, mature and needs to understand the difference between failing in group rather than winning alone.

What tasks has a Leader:
More than being friendly and mature everyone who wants to apply as a Leader of our Guild will need to specify in which aspect of the game he wants to focus as events’ host, obviously deciding on personal tastes, and musts select one (or more) day of the week and time band for running this events. Participating in other events is suggested but not mandatory.

About sPvP Team
We have more than one player in our Guild who likes sPvP, so we’re planning on building a Team and participating in this League. No players in our lines is super pro when it comes to PvP but some has spent months only playing this aspect of the game, so the general level may vary. We expect our member to have knowledge of general sPvP mechanics and to have experience with their class/role in sPvP.

Tasks of a Team player
The only task for a member of our Team is to represent the Guild while doing Team sPvP! We don’t require full representation and even the use of TS3 is not mandatory. Obviously a bit of reliability must be a feature of new and old players. Generally matches are played around 19:00 UTC+0 and later on, or after lunch.

Hi all,
one week ago I was on my way to finally create Mawdrey. I had all mats and recipes ready but then I found out that my jeweller hadn’t the “grow lamp” available from the crafting station. I’m sure I’d buy the recipe and even the Dry Top vendor says I’ve already learned it. I would like to know if I’m the only one facing this problem or not.
I’ve tried to send an in game bug report but I got no answer so I’m trying here on the forum.
I haven’t tried to re-buy the recipe because I don’t have enough geodes and since HoT camed out I was focused on exploring the new maps.

We didn’t create a Guild Team and we started the Mission before even queuing.

Hi, may I ask if you’re a EU or NA player?

My Guild has just finished the PvP medium mission. We had to score 500 personal points in total, we were in 3 and scored a little less than 600. We’d lost the match and the group disbanded a few minutes after the match ended, but not before the 30 mins countdowns of the mission ended (because I readed that the reward was given immediately upon completion). We runned a conquest match, unraked type and we started the mission before queuing. Am I missing something or it was just a bug?

Keepers of Gaia [KoG] is a EU] PvX Guild intended for those who like to play in group and have fun, more than repeatedly do doungeons or fractals.
The Guild is quite new and little, but expanding, in searching for social members. We’re willing to run Fractals/WvWvW/Dungeons/World Bosses/Puzzles and help each others levelling.
We’ve unlocked Bounty Missions and progressing through all the upgrade’s fields.
