An idea: Implement a dedicated RP Server for NA and EU. Allowing players to guest to it, does not have any WvW attached to it and is not within the megaserver structure.

We are a melting pot, focused on enjoying all aspects of the game (PvE, Roleplay, WvW and sPvP) with friends from all areas of the game (all US GW2 Servers). Hey Corvus! I have read through your post and feel that my guild [Yum] may be a guild that would suit you. We are a PvE oriented guild on Dragonbrand that is very community driven. The only thing that we do not have is your players online numbers, during peak times we have 10-20 on (58 members total) but we are actively recruiting people interested in what our guild has to offer so those numbers will slowly rise.

Today and yesterday I have been disconnected multiple times throughout the day. I have a great cable connection and would never disconnect until recently. When I do disconnect the screen goes black and the error message pops up but then disappears so I’m not sure what the error is.
I have killed 3 champions today and none dropped loot for me. 2 champions were during the Melandru event and another was during a group water event under the Temple of Lyssa.
I recall reading one of your last patches that all champions would guarantee a drop of loot and since your newest update w/ Flame and Frost that is not the case. Was this reverted?
I’ve been talking with my guildmates and a few are noticing that the attributes displaying on the Hero screen are off. They add a sigil or a rune to their armor but the attributes do not update.
Also, in my attachment below, my mesmer only has 5 runes of the mesmer equipped, but the rune is displaying that I have 11/6 equipped.
think of it like this, it’s like 400,000 people trying to get a cheeseburger at mcdonalds with only one person at the register and one “cook.” You could have 3 registers and 3 cooks but it’s still a lot of people wanting a cheeseburger at once.
From a guild leaders standpoint, and someone who is very detail oriented, the guild panel is not very friendly. The Message of the Day cube is irritatingly unfriendly to type in. The only way I can fully tell who has been on is to send out an individual mail to all my guildies, 80+ members (with a mail spam feature that keeps me from sending only 1 mail a minute..) to do a roll call.
I’ll be truly elated once they fix these features as well as many others and add more guild rewards. Its definitely not impeding on my guilds atmosphere or structure but giving guilds more incentive to hold loyal members would also be a plus!
I have read a lot of what’s been said and I just wanted to add that I also do not agree with the OP. I am a guild leader, myself, of a PvE guild and I have not run across any big problems this far. Yes, people have come and gone but my numbers are still strong. Guild leaders and their chosen officers need to set goals to accomplish for the guild to be successful. You should try investing more time, energy and gold into your guild to build a community. Do contests, host events, always invite guilders before pugs, create conversation. I don’t know how many members I’ve picked up by just offering help rather then spamming my recruitment message in /map. I hear that their previous guilds would never talk, offer help or even try to answer people’s questions they had. So how about, instead of complaining about the game, find your own ways to improve it. Instead of making a forum thread to complain, make one asking for advice.
Hello! I am a guild leader and really enjoy playing games/contests/events with my guild. I was just wondering if people could share with me what they do with their guilds. I’ll start and hopefully this sharing can help mine and other guilds expand their ideas on stuff they can do for fun!
On the forums:
- We host Screenshot Contests.
- We play a photo hunt, where they must find where I took a screenshot @ and duplicate it.
In-Game Games:
- We had a fun game of hide-and-seek in Divinity’s one evening.
- Guild Wars Trivia. Put your lore knowledge to the test!
- Guild party w/ Boxes o’ fun, banners and banquet.
Just zoned in to Fireheart Rise from Iron Marches and there are several different players appearing/disappearing over and over. I go to try to Report but they keep disappearing to fast to report. Saw some appear totally horizontal and some even appear with conditions on them so I believe this is another teleportation hack and they are fighting while moving back and forth for whatever reason.
Also if you craft rares using materials you have farmed you can salvage them for ecto. I so this all the time. Spend a few hours at cursed shore and I’m able to craft rares without spending anything. Ectos are climbing in price or save them for your own use.

I’m hearing all over /map that people that DID attend the one-time event and DID receive the end chest are getting a second one in their in-game mail. I’m wondering why this is happening and then why isn’t everyone receiving one…
I have not received anything as of yet but I was able to loot the chest @ the one-time event. I asked my guild members, non-forum users, if they have receive anything and they had no idea about this and had not received anything.
You guys need to just keep looking for the right guild. I lead a guild that has people always online, representing, being social and putting together runs. I even have guild forums that my guild is actually utilizing. Take the time to check gw2guru or spam in trade for people to talk to you about what their guild offers.
My guild and I are arguing about this “one time event” I was under the impression that it was that, 1 time only. But they are saying that this event is suppose to last time 10PM PST, so does that mean it will run again?
Right, you finish of the ancient karka.. he falls in lava, you get this big chest..
BUT, you need to be atleast level 60+ to use any of the items… nothing for level 20-40… kitten tbh,

How is it a complete waste of time if you got items you can probably sell for a good amount and then buy the armors/weapons for your level.
Complaints from everyone is such a Debby Downer. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it and quit clogging up the forums with a bunch of whines. Its not productive.
Ha ha, same here. The event wiped our entire map. Everyone had to run back to continue, and now we are still doing the event because of continuous deaths holding us up.

Today I participated in a Free Tournament with a guild mate of mine and the rest pug. We won the first round and lost the second round. We waited for our rewards and a little later my guild mate said he got his reward but I never received mine.
This was my first Free Tournament. Was I suppose to do anything special? My guild mate told me it would appear as a chest reward like you get from map completions but I never got a thing. Tried switching maps even to see if that would help but it did not.

I just wanted to chime in, as a casual sPvP player and say that I am only spending a few hours a week doing Hot Joins and as I leveled in rank I did become a more skillful player. As a guardian I was learning to survive longer, comprehend and tweak my build, and was really enjoying this environment ANet has created for sPvP.
BUT it also does get very discouraging when a more skillful player, or a thief, continue to down me ridiculously fast. I can tell the difference between someone with the same skill level as me and someone way more versed and even confirm my theories when I see the scoring at the end where it displays their rankings next to their name.
And when I do try to find people interested in free tourneys, the lobby always seems quite dead. I even try to spark up a group but only get 1 interest. For being such a new game, and for me to only enter the lobby once every few days and see this, is very discouraging. I can only imagine others who are interested in learning sPvP coming into a dead lobby area and joining Hot Joins with a scattered/unequal match-up.
I’ve been trying to search online for any information about Death Breakdowns but haven’t stumbled on any official explanation of the information Death Breakdown provides.
I was thinking it may be just the obvious, this is what killed me. But when I get a Death Breakdown that has a long list of skills I wonder if its showing what damage I took while I was downed before I died, or is it the last 5 seconds before death… ?
I added an attachment that I was interested in having explained to me because I was doing so well, being quite skillful for a casual sPvP’r and all of a sudden I was downed and insta-dead w/ no downed time.
Today I was adventuring and came upon some bots. I could tell because they were standing in a clump and farming a respawning foe. BUT as I went to report them, I found that I could not click on any of the characters.

As title states, I’m currently looking for a sPvP guild that I can rep when I’m in the mood for some sPvP and if the guild environment is great I’d also love to rep while PvEing to socialize.
I’m just getting into sPvP and am having a lot of fun on my own with it but think it would be even more fun to share some strategy and possibly get into some tourneys with a fun guild.
