Guild Wars 2

I’m an Australian player whose used to 300 ping, but lately I’ve been experiencing up to 900 constantly and only in Guild Wars. I’ve had frequent disconnects, to the points of unplayable. It has nothing to do with my internet provider since I rock a steady 2-300 in other games (on NA servers ofc). I’m really not sure what kind of details I can provide to be helpful and not whiny.

I’d also really like to recommend the range on Wings of Resolve be increased from 600 to 900, even if that means increasing the cooldown. Without our ability to pop our virtues passively when we’re in a spot of danger, I do feel we need an escape. Resolve could very much fill that role.

The rest looks super! I’m very excited to play it again.

Went to bed since I couldn’t play the events. Got up just in time for the 4:30 one and was able to play it fully. Still got some log-in issues after exiting though.

Just got in again near 5:30. Seems like it getting better. But still have some problems with the website not loading or very slow.

Just curious, but does anyone here use NBN and have these issues?

I have the NBN and I think you’re incredibly misguided if you think it makes any difference. In fact I have worse ping than I did with the old copper. Thanks Tony.

I doubt its ISP but for my own sanity I’m with Optus. Anyone other Australians suffering this issue from Optus?

Who are we?
We’re a small, casual guild of new and old players looking to make some new friends! We do all kinds of content from Fractals, to sPvP, to WvW, to dungeons, and everything in between. While we consider ourselves an international guild and everyone is welcome, we do primarily play within Oceanic timezones. So if you’re a night owl from the US, an early riser from SEA or a run-of-the-mill Australian (or Kiwi, you can come too), then theres always someone to play with. We also have a Skype group and a Mumble server to keep us connected and hang out with each other.

What do we require?
- While we don’t enforce 100% rep we do prefer that you spend a fair bit of time with us. Socialising is our aim after all.
- Only English in guild chat.
- Be nice, we’re all friends here.
- We play on Stormbluff Isle, but you don’t have to! We accept people of all servers.
- Voice Com is totally optional.

I personally really like these changes, and the specialisation as a whole. I already know I’ll be maining DH when it hits with HoT.

Theres only two real changes I want to see, and thats increasing the reveal on Light’s Judgement to 2 seconds, and increase the range on Wings of Resolve to atleast 900. I feel like Wings of Resolve should be our ‘oh crap’ button, and with a class thats already slow and has no easy gap closes (or escapes) then Wings would totally fill that niche. It doesn’t do that all at 600 range, especially with how long the cast animation is. The increase to reveal would give me enough time to do something rather than get a flash of a person and then have them on me before I can react. I think thats about it.

I like the idea of adding in a commander tag that is guild-only (ie: only guild members can see). We don’t have a green tag after all nudge nudge
