Ya know, I was gonna make a thread that was kiiiiiinda similar to this, but then saw this one so I’m just gonna post here instead lol. I really love these ideas and I think they’re great- I would love to see stuff like this in the game! What I was gonna say in my thread was that I wish there was more of a- for lack of a better word- “social” side to this game. I’m not saying that it’s non-existent cause I know map chat (especially in places like DR and LA) is usually pretty active, and if you join the right guild then there’s your social interaction as well.
I guess I was just wondering if I’m the only dork that would love to make more use of the environment in this game. A good example would be the different social hang-outs there are in the main cities- mainly the taverns and stuff. It would be kinda cool to walk in there and find people chillin’, not even talking about the game necessarily but just anything random. I don’t know, I guess at that point I’m talking about basically using this game as a glorified forum with avatars lol. Which would be kinda pointless and silly I suppose. shrug
To swing back over to the actual topic of this thread, though, yeah I think mini-games would be an awesome addition! Like the shooting range in DR that has NEVER opened- I would love for that to be a game you can actually play! Fishing would be pretty cool too, or card and board games like a couple people suggested. Anyhoo, sorry for the ramble. XD

I totally agree with this and would love to see some of these things happen! Even just the smallest details can make the difference between a bland world and one that seems more interactive and real. The chair thing would be sweet, and I definitely miss the days of just being able to hop into one specific server and find RP everywhere. As someone who’s homeworld is not TC, that is something that I really miss A LOT and I now have a harder time finding RP; especially outside of cities- like you said. So, yeah, great post and I hope you get more attention for it! =)

Hey! So I’ve been hearing about a big PAX viewing party on the EU servers and was wondering if the NA servers were planning/wanted to do anything like that? I think there was already one guild planning to do so, but I’m not sure. So if there is- awesome I’d love the info on that!- if not, then I’ll probably just be chillin’ in the Crow’s Nest at LA if anyone would like to join me (I know it’s not big, but I love that place- even if it is a little beat up at the moment XD).
My homeworld is Dragonbrand (this info probably won’t make much difference ‘cause of the whole megaserver thing, but oh well), so feel free to come find me. Probably won’t turn into a giant party or anything, but worth a shot.

My guess is that Sylvari from the pale tree will continue to be safe, and that the sylvari we see “going crazy” in the trailer might just be us running into Malyck and his gang as we press further into the jungle.

Thanks for the input, guys!

Ok so here’s my question about the Elder Dragons: how much is known about them during the timeline of GW1? I’ve tried researching this but could never find a clear and concise answer, and I haven’t beaten Eye of the North so if the answer is there then I wouldn’t know. Obviously I know Primordius had a big role in that but, since I didn’t finish it, wasn’t sure if that was known by the Tyrians at the end of it or wasn’t figured out until later.
Did people know of, or at least suspect their existence back then? I know it’s stated in GW2 that Dragons are mentioned in old dwarven texts, but was that information only found out recently? Maybe we are suppose to assume it was common knowledge during the earlier games, but the creators wanted to leave it vague on purpose cause they weren’t sure what direction the games would go in? I don’t know…
Basically, how much was known about the Dragons back then- was everything that is known about them only brought to light recently? Sorry for the very long-winded question! XD

This is beautiful! Well done!

I’m usually an RPer who just guests over onto TC. Recently, though, I noticed that TC is now completely full which makes RP even harder to find than when megaservers were implemented. I’m wondering, though, if perhaps RP has spilled over onto another server. If anyone has seen that or maybe heard some rumors about it I would love to know! Most likely it has not, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

I kinda like the idea of dueling. While I think that having the use of the entire PvE map for it would be awesome, though I can sorta understand the arguments against that. I am totally ok with maybe just having some arena-type areas like a few people suggested. Also, like others have said, I really miss guild halls and the matches that you could have there with your friends! Which is why I was excited when custom arenas first came out, but then bummed when I saw you had to pay for those….

So cool! I wanna try to find that now; I loved the third book and the Maw was terrifying! XD
