Lately, we’ve had a lot of Mags join our GF groups after we’ve killed them, crying Paxa about how we zerged them down like dogs. I know Mag sure has done it to us a lot but it’s WvW. It happens. There’s been some fun fights out there too but it seems lost between all the whine coming from Maguuma.

It was agreed upon last Monday with [GF] for a rated 20v20 GvG. This was even verified by myself an hour beforehand to one of the [GF] guild leaders. On the field 1 minute before the match is supposed to start. I was pm’ed from 3 different [GF]’s on how they were unable to field 20 against us.

Not sure if you know this, but on the gw2gvg website GF’s guild contact is Kiliaan.1934 so all match questions should only have been with him before the actual match.

Also on the gw2gvg website, the match was scheduled to be 15v15 not 20v20 so there should have been no confusion there.

So [GF] wanted an unrated 15v15 GvG. We accepted, when the 15v15 GvG started; [GF].[pk], and several other guilds hit us off their spectator hill. Around 34 people hit 15 vH’s during the GvG and claimed it was a victory.

It is common practice for both guild drivers to agree on a start time based off the server clock during a gvg match, even in a practice or scrim.

Seeing as that didn’t happen, most of the GF were afk when you guys pushed into them as seen in that video with only a couple responding right off the bat. In a lot of other GvGs I’ve been in and watched, if one side is afk or have not responded the attacking team will back off, because you know, it’s the logical thing to do.

Seeing as you guys didn’t even have the common decency to do that, of course other people are going to jump in because that’s pretty dirty on your guild’s part. And even at that, a lot of the Ebay on the sidelines didn’t even jump in right away, so idk why there is any confusion about why you guys believe someone “jumped” you.

Both sides had people jump in from the sidelines, it’s what happens in a brawl when kitten hits the fan.

I understand, its probably a rough life being on a PVE server, but what you are saying is that you don’t like WFD because they have a large amount of people that are organized enough to meet up at a certain time every single day to accomplish the same goals. Where are you getting the idea that they are “terrible” or “pathetic?” They don’t run those 50+ person zergs to fight your 10 man pug group, they run them because they run into groups of Hawk and GH on Ebay that are rolling with 80 people. Instead of all pushing in at once, we made multiple smaller pushes (mostly GH and Hawk) to clear siege. But congratulations though on holding probably thee easiest camp to defend and siege up with way more than you needed lol. Proper SW sup defense, you surely don’t need 50+ lol.

I mean, look at this way. We could’ve used some super BP tactics and played for PPT and completely ignored you, but we’re always up for a fight and we had just come from wiping you guys at inner bay.

WFD can pull pretty big numbers at times – we are a large guild after all. Our primary commander is well known and when the guild is running with him its common for pugs to gravitate to him and we end up with a pretty large army. I would agree that WFD is known for doing a lot strategically with limited manpower and resources, in fact I rarely see that, because its not really our focus.

From my perspective WFD is focused primarily on field tactics and enjoys engaging the enemy in the open. That’s not to say we don’t cap camps/tower/keeps, because we do, but we aren’t one to stick around, upgrade it, run yaks, build siege, etc. We like to find enemy zergs to decimate. If you watch the video that should be pretty obvious.

Even so we aren’t really hardcore WvW guild. We don’t do armor checks, require players to run specific builds, or specify our group’s composition (meaning certain numbers of each class). So yea, you might find the smaller skill groups are able to do more with less, but that wasn’t really the point of the post.

The point I was making is that people are pretty full of kitten. Personally, I think people just like to throw criticism at the things they hate (usually when they get stomped, or are losing) to try and make their opponent change their behaviors in order to win praise in the forums. It like, if you criticize us enough for being too strategic and focused on points then maybe we’ll feel like we can earn your praise and respect if we stop and just roam around aimlessly.

I suggested that BP post a SOUL video instead because that would be exactly what SBI was asking for. That would have definitely proven you fight in open field and don’t run away compared to the WFD video which was pretty much “omg why are they running away from our 50+ blob? time to spam emotes!”

Open field fights really accomplish nothing other than maybe a bit of demoralizing. 3v4’s, 8v6’s, 2v2’s… who cares really.

Everyone plays differently and has fun doing different things.

Basically, this ^^^ lol. No one wants WvW to be Spvp.

Most roamers and small man players have FUN in small group fights where skill comes into play a lot more. You have to know when to time your abilities, what to do to survive and avoid burst and being focused. You have to know whats the best build and gear for each situation and group comp. You have to know positioning probably most of all.

And that is compounded even more so in WvW because you never really know what you’re going to run into, how many people, what builds they are running, what gear they are using, etc.

Bettering yourself as a player and as a team is supremely satisfying and since we are playing a video game, it’s even quite fun. That is the point.

Last time I checked there were no Anet rules and guidelines of how WvW has to be played lol. Yes they designed siege and walls and PPT, and we understand that’s what BP loves focusing on, but roaming, open field fights and small man play is also an aspect of WvW.

Why would you suggest Spvp? That’s a whole different ballgame. You can’t get the same excitement there like you would from roaming in WvW.

It’s just something BP isn’t too good at and you guys were never known for it outside of some old SOUL groups. EDGE ganking uplevels doesn’t count :] Although ZERG seems to be bringing it back, they have a long way to go.

BP has gotten a little better at playing for PPT though compared to our matchups back then. Coordination between their guilds has gotten better, and their response time definitely got better, and that’s probably best shown through their server wide TS. But playing for score ultimately comes down to who has the best coverage, which really is no fun. Each has it’s own merits though.

When someone calls you “bad” or “boring” it’s just a different focus and perspective on what WvW means to each server and not Anet’s design lol.

Really have grown found of EB, very good server, very balanced for us. CD was overpowering for us, but aside from that they were a class act. BP, however, I personally did not miss at all. Time after time of running to siege and running away from engagements. I know, you play for points and siege. Still makes for a boring match. Will be interesting to see who falls where after the weekend, I know we have just recently lost another guild and quite a few players, how about BP? Still same population pretty much?

This was something we did for fun late at night because you guys literally bored us to death at SE area. First you tried to spawn camp us with 20, failed, died a bunch and then ran back to your tower and never really came out after that. Later you attempted to build siege at the bridge which we killed promptly cause that’s not manly/honorable and pretty cowardly. Then you run back to hills and hide behind your ACs and Cannons aka super boring to fight.

So it was either have fun with CD with a 3v3 duel for ownership of bay or fight BP hiding behind walls and siege. Hmm…

And let’s be real here, who from Ebay was really going to defend Bay at this time of night? I believe you got it right back before the points tick too.

I was responding to a very specific post from a person who claimed they couldn’t really understand why we have no love for EBay. I pointed out why and you jumped in with your own very special brand of condescension.

Despite all the trolling and chest thumping, there were normal posters like Kstudios and decent conversations going on in those past threads. And he was even responding to Evilzara who moved to Ebay after our long matchups together lol. So in that specific conversation, Kstudios’s feeling were warranted. But then again, you’re too dense to notice that. (Are you from the same EDGE guild who posted screenshots of killing uplevels with multiple thieves? LOL)
