this is still occurring for me, infact its gotten worse. Was in a fractal the game just froze, chat was working fine, had to relog to get the game moving again, effected my entire fractal group.

just did tequila no lag, went back to orr, got lag again

on direct cable to my router, nothing but standard OS programs running in the background, its only happening with gw2.

Isp has detected no issues at all, i have very low packet loss, and a stable connection, people in the same maps i enter are also having this problem, im suprised they havent posted about it.
It only seems to be a random few people, like you yourself said some our fine, same with some of my guild mates.

Its frustrating because it keeps occurring every 5 mins, lasts for about 3 seconds then game continues on.

Since the patch ive been suffering from constant lag spikes every 5 mins or so, in all the maps ive visited.

In all these maps ive asked if anyone else has been experiencing it, and the unanimous replies have been yes all around, and we all experience it at the same time.
Some of my guild have also been experiencing it but not all of us.

Ive checked my connection with other online games and there is no loss in performance at all, rang my ISP BT as well and they said there are no issues at all for my area.

big NO, this doesn’t help at all with the current issues in WvW in fact it makes them worse, its going to end up with winning with numbers rather then player skill. God knows what will happen to the GvG community as well.
Its become quite the serious topic in our guild, and will effect what we do in the future, either stay on gw2 or go, depending on how the aftermath scene will look like for GvG/WvW.

I think the nickname Orgo (GvG showdown) has given Devon The Carver is suitibly placed for the situation that now faces us.

Our guild moves depending on several things, most of them to do with queue times, server population and the amount of WvW guilds in the match ups, Originally we were on SFR but thanks to the free transfers, queue times shot up to 4 hours at times and it wasn’t a pleasant experience having to wait for all our guild members to get into WvW.

IMHO as nice as your ideas are, I dont think your solutions would keep us to stay on one server. From the guilds Flare [FIRE] has interacted with they are more interested with the fights rather then actual WvW content, gaining points is more of a background interest, fighting a good guild in WvW is what we look for.

I think what anet need to do is even out the players with interest in WvW, get some incentives to get WvW guilds in to the lower tier servers so the WvW population on each server is about even. Hard to do I know, since everyone wants to be on the top server.

Once the WvW is more evenly populated then server loyalty could be taken into consideration.

Ahh i see that might explain the high CPU usage, I’m currently running on medium to high settings in game.
In regards to the sound issues is there anyway to solve this?
It kind of ruins the experience of gaming when you cant hear any of the effects intermittently.
I’ve tried using the search function on the forums for this but it doesn’t seem to work with my web browser (chrome).

Hello for the past week or so I’ve been experiencing really high CPU usage from GW2 up to 70%.
The game plays fine apart from constant sound glitches. Sound will cut out suddenly, or i would only get the ambient sounds in the background.

My PC specs:
intel core i5-2400
6gb of RAM
Nvidia Ge Force GTX 580
windows 7 64-bit

I’ve just had my PC serviced by Dell ( 3 weeks ago) where it was given a clean bill of health drivers up to date as well, I’m at a loss as to whats causing this.

I’ve also just noticed this happened within the last 30 mins, was working completely fine an hour ago. EU server Aurora Glade.

I wanted to sell the runes (divinity ones), to help towards my legendary. I’m downsizing the amount of armor sets i have.

would transmuting the WvW gear to a different skin allow them to become salvageable?

As title, I was wondering if there was anyway to remove the runes from WvW badge gear.

I’ve got some pretty expensive runes stuck in the gear and I want to remove them, but salvage kits don’t work.

I also had “We’re sorry! There was an error while retrieving the news feed. Please try again in a few minutes. Don’t worry, though, you can still play the game!” about 2 hours before patch and had issues with the trading post. I am now getting connection errors intermittently when trying to download the patch.

I was playing fine around 15:00 Gmt no errors on splash screen or connection problems with trade post.
