Good god fellow forum warriors please stop referring to real war when talking about WvW in an online game.

Someone is suggesting getting allies from other regions to nightcap for them, as much as especially NA likes to buy guilds from EU to win the match-ups for them, I’m sorry not everyone wants to do that. And to be fair in my opinion it is rather sad trend.

Reducing the effectiveness doesn’t mean nightcapping or some wicked aussie playing in EU server would be meaningless. Even if the PPT during nights would be halved, you’re still worth way more than a prime time player.

And yes, I like to play God at times and decide the entire match-ups by myself night capping, but I do realize it shouldn’t be that way.

I reported this about 2 weeks ago already. Basically the idea is that each map has 1-3 new stats combos you can get and buy off the merchants. What happened with trailblazer is that they accidentally added Wanderer’s stats to the nuhoch merchant instead of trailblazers. And currently Wanderer’s can be bought from both nuhoch merchant and Dragon’s Stand merchant.

Act 3 is obviously meant to be the place to get your trailblazer gear. You get the recipes from the caches, chak weapons as well has the trailblazer stats. They just made an error…
It is similar to Agate orbs having marauder stat combos, but are used for commander’s gear and Ebony orbs having commander stats, but are used for Marauder’s gear. Funny thing is that when you make a Exquisite Agate orb, it suddenly changes stats from marauder to commander.

While it is incredibly frustrating how a very minor error that you can fix in about 20 seconds, still exists in game. Anet’s mentality is to launch now a bigger fix patch instead of 3 small ones every day, most likely we’ll have to wait until Raid patch.

And what comes down to salvaging, what Eponet is saying is true in a sense that you’re supposed to get non-craftable insignias through salvaging. BUT it doesn’t apply in this case as IT IS craftable, or it’s supposed to be really.

When you feel like adding a post to this thread I’d suggest everyone here to do some testing what possibly is causing the issue(s) if possible, that information could be very helpful for the developers.

I got all the act 4 story achievements now, seen several people here saying that “Untethered” achievement is bugging and it is and it’s not at the same time.

First time I did it, I didn’t get hit by vines, and didn’t get the achievement. I thought as I was playing on ranger I should try it without letting my pet get hit either, and guess what.. It worked!

I’m pretty sure ANY minion you can create (elemental, clone, pet, minion) fails the achievement if it gets hit (only tested with ranger), NPC’s can get hit without failing the achievement.

Also “Line of Fire” seems to be working just fine, you really DO have to kill the snipers on the ledge to achieve the achievement, who would had thought right? I personally just glided there, no problems whatsoever.

I’m pretty sure ANET has made a slight error. I think you have added Recipe: Wanderer’s stat combination insignia for both Nuhoch merchant and the merchant in the end of the Dragon’s Stand meta-event.

Either one of them is really supposed to sell Recipe: Trailblazer’s stat combination insignia instead.
I think it’s the Nuhoch merchant that is supposed to sell it, as you get recipe’s for the armors from the chest of the Tangled Depths.

Currently there’s no way to craft Trailblazer armors, because you cannot get the recipe for creating the insignia.
Please check it out asap. Thanks!

Post BWE3 Druid Changes

Some good and expected changes. Not sure if not just mentioned or if it’s been completely overlooked, but signet of the wild when used in celestial avatar form in order to get stability, made you lose the form. I hope that gets fixed.

There’s been some real issues mentioned like the lack of stun breaks, but one thing that amazes me that no one has really mentioned is the lack of boons and boon share in general. You just cannot be a supportive enough without at least some boon share.

Don’t think druid is viable in PvP, if it would play a role it would definitely be a supportive and no boon share, lack of stun breaks and the time required to actually heal makes it too clunky for that. Druid would need more stuff like healing on dodge roll when in celestial avatar form, similar to d/d elly where you can mitigate the damage, even next to the targeted player while healing.

Also the skill 2 in celestial avatar is still horrible, even if you wanted to cleanse just yourself you would burn to death before that blossom pops to actually cleanse you.. And the wait just makes it even far worse when trying to cleanse allies, cause they will be miles away already when that thing goes off.

WvW wise, I could basically sit in celestial avatar and carry entire 15 man zerg with my heals, so that 10 seconds cool down sounds fair, double gating it sounds bad. Make it so that you don’t have to reach the max cap, and maybe even let you keep 100% of the remaining astral force, and gate it with the 10 seconds cool down. You cannot effectively out heal anyone’s dps nor get any “extra health” (similar to necromancers) so why not?

Ancestral Grace is still the only good skill in the entire weapon (staff), Astral Wisp being somewhat useful. Hope the other ones gets some reworking, for example Vine Surge could last for 2-3 seconds, pulsing the 1 second immobilize 2-3 times. And Sublime Conversion giving you 4 seconds of protection and 10 seconds of swiftness when passed through.

Trading post is your scam free way to trade with people. If you try to trade with people via mail it’s your loss. I hope they ban/warn, w/e the guy who did this, but honestly it’s dumb to blame the car for not forcing you to wear the seat belts.

Why anet cares so much about the taxes? E-C-O-N-O-M-Y !
It’s so much easier to control the economy when there’s stable gold loss, the more people gets loot, the more they will be trading, the more gold will disappear from the game.

Funny how you mentioned TERA in this discussion, as it had the worst economy I’ve ever seen in my life in any game.

Just put the sigil on your water weapon as well like everybody else and it’s fixed. Yes buying 2x Superior sigil of bloodlusts may hurt your purse a bit, but that’s how it works.

Ugh, finally the endless loop of disconnecting is over, took about 30 minutes or so.

Don’t worry you’re not alone! Me and my friends right now are in endless disconnect loop. The match restarts over and over again, giving us 1 minute to join or it will force us in and of course disconnects us every single time.
So not only can’t we pvp, but we can’t play at all.

This thing needs to be fixed fast.

Finally I managed to drop a report in-game in those 40 seconds by pre-writing it in notepad and just copy+paste dropping it when I finally got inside for those 40 seconds!

Yes, you can click read more and surf your way through to forums and patch notes. Or you can just open up a browser, type your way to gw2 forums and surf to patch notes.
That’s what I’m currently doing, but my idea is to cut that part and get the notes straight to the launcher window.

It’s not just the patch notes, I don’t see it as a that big of an issue when everything is working as they should.

More than that I’d like to get information through the launcher. Like for example if I want to know what has been going on whole week, there’s zero official announcements even here about what’s going on.

You have to go to official twitter to find out that they are aware of the issues and getting some kind of idea what’s going on. Or surf in forums trying to find a moderator posting information on some thread.
Forums that are most likely down, because the issues in the first place.

The way it is handled right now means that people has to go find the information/patch notes rather than that information would be given to people.
There’s a big difference in between and because of that, information will never reach everyone.

Hope this clarifies things for you and possibly to others.

I’m not sure if you’re thinking about “News” -section now, because at least I haven’t found a magical button to this section:
Guild Wars 2 —> Forums —> News and Info —> Game Release Notes + Thread
And on top of that not all the patches find their way there.

If you’ve found a button to get there, and a button for the secret patch notes as well, please share it with me.

As far as I know when you’re getting hammered by ddossing or otherwise servers are being stressed the last thing you want is everybody to stress them even more.

Hi!

My suggestion is adding a small box in log in screen, similar like the news are now, but that would show the latest changes in game. I’ve seen it in other games, Diablo III for example.
The same box could be used to notify players about any problems Anet is aware of that is going on. Like for example logging issues or trade post issues or like the latest apocalypse is coming issues.

This should release the pressure as people wouldn’t have to go dig that information, but also any patch notes would be very easy to check out.
Also that should release the amount of “My game isn’t working” -posts as you could easily just drop any information in a small box that you’re aware of on-going situation.

I know twitter is being used a lot for this type of communication between players, but adding this type of feature you can be certain that 100% of the people logging in game will get the message.

It could be also used to remind players to use their Living Story specific resources before the merchant packs his bags and flies back to moon.
The possibilities are endless.

Players can drop in comments their thoughts about this or what other purposes Anet could possibly add into log in screen or if you just feel like this is needed as I am, give it a thumb up.
