Queue abandoned??

We’ve been having problems with this. With 4 people we barely get game, but then with 5 people it’s impossible to get a game. We have either the “you have been removed from the queue” or this: http://imgur.com/a/kf1Lx (or see the attached image). We had this problem alteast twice when trying to queue with 5 people. It was just stuck there, then after the waiting time it put us back on queue. Same thing again, either we didn’t get to game even everyone accepted or it threw us out of queue.

This happened at around 9 p.m. at thursday (CET+1) and today around 20 pm (CET +1). We got to play only one game on thursday and same thing today (saturday), then I went to have dinner and my guildies got game with 4 people.

Edit: After playing with my guildies with 4 people, the bug still persist, but seemed to happen less frequently as time went on (=less players playing). Forgot to add, we queue’d both in unranked and ranked, later on just in unranked.

As a player, who has been playing 95% of my time in team, I am saying you are just making assuptions without any experience.

  • “Most of the time you will just roll every single team that isn’t a 4 or 5 man” NOT TRUE. This is valid when we are speaking about bad players against us, when matchmaking isn’t settled up for us yet. After it’s settled, we have to actually win against 5 invidually more skilled players than us. EVERY GAME. Matchmaking is setting our team skill level where our best player is and then rising the level who are coming against us. This means we have to have equally skilled players or we are doooooomed. Good players know the basic things what to do; do a good rotation, look the map, don’t be stupid. 5 man premade doesn’t mean auto-win.
  • Go unranked. I can say we aren’t bad players invidually and we play semi-competitively, mostly for fun. If we go unranked, it’s a joke. Either we stomp everyone there or we get ESL -level players against us. It’s not fun in a long run and we can’t improve ourselves there. Also there’s lot of maps we don’t want to play (Spirit Watch, Sky Hammer, Colosseum, Capricorn). I can’t say there would have been any like really good games in unranked where we could lose and still say that was a really good game. We have had those in ranked where we had to admit we lose to a better team and we played well still.

Personally I don’t think the problem is different group sizes, it’s the forgiving pip-system. If it would be more brutal (losing divisions at earlier divisions etc.) the matchmaking would be more balanced just by that. Then it’s just determined with actual skill and not how (un)lucky you are. Also if every player would get pips how well they did in the game and not how the outcome was.

Here’s my main and the man who began my love for sylvari males. :P I usually have something blue as my main color and usually mix of sylvari culturals/TA armor, so I decided to do something else for a change. I actually looked something like this, kind of dull, but still stylish look. And someday I will craft Nevermore for him…

Staff: Let us autoattack like any other class

in Ranger

Personally I hate the Solar Beam change. Here’s the reasons why;

- It forces us to play with autotarget (or use target change or click the enemies) if we have a group of enemies
- It won’t heal allies if there isn’t any enemies and there’s still combat
- Any other class doesn’t have a weapon that needs a target for autoattack
- It’s a huge deal for people playing with action camera
- It decreases usability from staff
- There is no reason why this change was made

I understand it was unfair, that Druids could charge their AF before combat, but there’s no reason to keep the change because of this change:
Druid: Astral Force is no longer gained when healing a target that is already at full health

This means if we had autoattack without target, it wouldn’t give us Astral Force from pet or any other player without having an enemy near us. To charge AF we need to get our allies low on health and 99% of time it means combat.

To be clear, I’m not salty of any other nerf to Druid. I personally have understood why these changes are made and I’m okay with it. This is one I don’t get why that was necessary and I think it really affects most of the Druid players negatively. It decreases their ablility to function as a healer in a group and it is less fun to play.

So I’m asking to change the Solar Beam back to normal autoattack without requirement of having a target. It would benefit the functionality of Druid’s staff and make it more fun to play.

As well as I love the Druid, there could be improvements.

Celestial avatar shouldn’t be able to cancelled immidiately. I had a problem I casted it and after it I accidently left the form, losing my all avatar points. Have like 0,5-1sec cooldown when entering the form to prevent this.

It misses actual supporty feel. Like as guardian you have multible boons give out to allies, you can remove conditions, you can reflect projectiles, teleport to ally, you can prevent enemies coming closer to your allies or trap them so they can’t more, cc/impaire a lot, heal small amounts.. Same goes for ele. Of course Druid has the element of bursty heals and regeneration (which I like a lot), but it has only good condi cleanse in Celestial form and with traits. Druid hasn’t many boons to give out to allies and can’t accsess any other combo fields than water (without any pets) and has long-cd blast finisher. As roaming in small group WvW, I felt I really didn’t do anything else than heal. Some cc/ more realiable movement impairing would be nice and combo finishers.

Weapon swap feels useless, because there is no sync with other weapons. GS is always (unfortunately sometimes) good option, but it is selfish weapon. As healer you shouldn’t be selfish. I really wish there was some other weapon set to use alongside with staff that it would feel like a complete set. Only weapon I really felt good about was actually shortbow, because I traited myself (Skirmishing and Apothecary stats) semi-bleed machine. If I wasn’t healing, I was bleeding, poisoning other druids and dazing (and that way entangling them), but it doesn’t still feel like a complete set. Warhorn could be an option, but sword or axe isn’t. This also makes feel like you miss some support to your allies.

I don’t agree with that Druid needs any damage. I think it needs more control, like cc, movement impairing conditions (chill, slow, cripple, immobolize..) and “annoying” conditions like blind, weakness and poison to prevent enemy from healing, recovering, running away etc. and adding up more supporty properties like boon sharing and “guarding”.

I understand Druid is planned just to use up for heal and part of a raid. I understand it wasn’t meant to be a dps charatcher (ranger already has enough dps variations) and it doesn’t stand alone very well. I love the part Druid isn’t a charatcher that you use it solo. But still it misses the part where it gives the group some utility and supports it. Like it would be useful in some other group.

Enhanced Squad UI Feedback

I liked the UI while it worked. We had a problem in raid that the UI disappeared when we died and revived at checkpoint. After then we couldn’t see the UI at all. All of us had the problem. But overall UI was nice, I liked the option to resize it and it’s really simple and shows the player’s health in a neat way. After you make it not disappear I’ll give it a thumbs up. I didn’t see if it showed any conditions on allies, but if there could be option for that too, it would be great.

Then kind of not related the Squad UI, the actual Squad mechanics. First of all, you shouldn’t be able to join freely to any squad. I prefer similiar system as party, where someone has to accept you in the party(/squad). We had a problem when organizing our squad that someone just joined our squad and we couldn’t kick him out. We had AGAIN to organize our squad all again in other place to prevent people just joining in.

Also the squad/party system was really bugged; we couldn’t leave a party after we joined (we had to have all party members offline to get the party dispanded) and commander couldn’t add anyone to squad if we didn’t restart our games. This caused us almost an hour of just organizing our people to get into the raid and restarting our games. I really like the squad system if just these bugs could be fixed.
