I’m sorry, but if I had wanted to play a puzzle game, I would have bought a puzzle game instead of this game.

The jumping puzzle/puzzle element used to be a side element back when the game launched, didn’t do them then when it was a choice, sure as kitten don’t want to do them now as kitten requirements.

I was hyped about the new expansion, but I was hyped for a GuildWars2 expansion, not a GuildPuzzle2/PuzzleWars2 that this has become. Sadly, I only see it becoming worse, judging by the amount that was in this Living World season. That’s just my opinion, I’m sure many others think the opposite, which is fine, to each their own.

Congrats on the "matchmaking"

Has anybody mentioned the worst class matchmaking I’ve ever seen in a MMO?

I mean I have been in matches that have 2, 3, or more heavies on one side and none on the other most of the time. I will switch out to something else, but honestly, what is the kitten point of it if nobody else does?

Suggestion: Add Server To Guild Roster.

Since my return a couple of weeks ago, I have noticed that a lot of things are now cross server.

Would it be possible to add something in the guild roster tab next to each players name to show what server each member belongs to?

It doesn’t have to be the entire server name, maybe assign a permanent number, or letter for each server? I’ve joined a couple of guilds since I returned, only to find out most are not on the same server as I am.

Then we can see where most of our guildies are, and either transfer, or find a guild with more members on our current servers.

Apologies if this is already a topic. I tried to do a search but didn’t find anything.

There is a red sticky post on this subject, might want to read those and add to it if you want.

Anet has labeled it an X-file mystery. lol

Anet doesn’t care, however thanks to all the history stuff that Anet did do right, checking out my guild history shows a trend Anet will eventually see in the gem store.

Pre- 1/28 and 1/28 – 45 members logging in pretty much every day.

2/3 – 12 members logged in.

I’m sure my guild isn’t the only one showing this trend, so stick that in your X-files Anet.

I always felt that a game was fun to me if I only came to the forums to add a suggestion on a way to enhance gameplay in a positive way.

If I came to the forums for anything else, the game was losing it’s fun appeal at that very moment and forum pvp overtook ingame fun for at least a little while. (Usually until my sub ran out lol)

There is no point in arguing with other players on this issue.

Those of us affected by this loot issue see that our costs in this gold sink designed game are starting to outweigh our gains because of loot drops.

As a result, my fun level went from a 100 to a 0, while this may not be the case for everyone, it was for those affected the same way in my guild.

When those not affected now eventually get hit with this, and they will, it will probably be a different story.

I refuse to buy gems to convert to gold just to supplement my gameplay in a game that stated during devolpment that it was not going to be designed that way.

I wish the lemmings well that will, because that was probably Anets vision all along.

Open those wallets boys and girls, welcome to the typical MMO standard of today.

I tried to trust that company in Austin, Texas last year and I wanted to trust this company.

I won’t fall into the traps again, enjoy the game though, as long as possible.

I’ve been in a fun go around with the in game support about this issue and it appears as if it’s all “working as intended”.

So I wished them well, like I did another MMO company last year based in Austin, Texas, and also hope they don’t have the same results as that other company did.

Best of luck to everyone, all I can say is just play the game until you don’t have fun any more.

When it started to cost me more in fees each day than I was able to loot, the fun ended for me.

Kind of strange though that just small groups have been hit with this permanant style of DR over the last few months.

It kind of reminds me of those little control groups when it comes to testing, where some get the real product and others get the placebo, but I digress.

See that crawling human thingy on the bottom right corner of the posts here? They are in the PMs as well and are used to report posts ^^

Greetz (‘-’)/

That is actually supposed to be a flag, but it does look a lot like a crawling human thingy. lol

Would You Still Play if There was NO Loot?

I haven’t really had loot since the 1/28 patch.

1/28 (post patch) – 5 hours (dungeon, open world nothing really worthwhile in loot, the new chest never even dropped for me)
1/29 – 1 1/2 hours, same open world pattern as 1/28 logged out.
1/30- 1 hour, same pattern as open world 1/28
1/31- 30 minutes, same pattern filed ticket, posted on forums, logged out, looked for new game.
2/1 + – Will check forums, if nothing has been updated won’t bother to log in.

So… no.

I didn’t even notice this sticky about the loot issues until I read about it in another thread.

Since the patch/update on 1/28 it seems that myself and a few guildies have been hit with this issue now.

It also appears that a few other guildies that were not getting decent loot drops before 1/28 are now getting good loot drops, while a few others haven’t noticed a change either good or bad.

I sent in a ticket, cookie cutter reply, updated it, had them reply to post a suggestion on the forums about it. lol

At least this game was only buy to play, I can always check back later and see if this kittened mess is fixed.

Funny someone mentioned the game TOR earlier, it was an update/patch that ruined that game for me too. I haven’t returned to that game either and we all can read about the awesome first year they had. lol

It was fun for five months, so at least Anet beat the last game by two months.

Looks like nothing is going to be able to hold me for at least 6 years like one game did. They even had a monthly sub and added some extra fluff that I spent a lot of my entertainment budget on each month.

C’est la vie

This game is perfect.

Party invite bug

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

This occurs all the time if one player is in WvW and the other is in PvE, also happens with the LA overflow and the actual server.

However, the new patch could have also added new issues to inviting.

Dynamic Leveling - loot NOT scaling

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

There’s a random chance that it will drop high level loot instead of the standard loot. It’s not 100%.

I understand it’s not 100%, but it has become very, very bad for myself and a few of my guildies since the patch.

So bad that we have cut our play time from hours each night to around an hour last night and probably less tonight if the loot drops start out the same again.

If Anet is going to scale loot, armor, weapons, damage to the area then they should also scale the kitten repair costs too.

wooden chest loot is not dropping correctly?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

My loot drops have gone to kitten since this patch, not a single chest has dropped and I’m lucky to be able to loot 1 in 10 corpses now. (While a very low percentage is actually my level.)

Seems like half of my guilds loot drops have gone up, while half has gone the same way as mine.

The guildies on the downside all played for around an hour last night then logged out, because less loot is less fun to us.

Loot drop bugged?

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

While some of my guildies noticed an increase in their loot drops, some of us noticed a very significant decrease with our loot drops.

The decrease is so drastic that a few of us didn’t really even bother playing very long after logging in last night.

It’s not just the items that drop either, it’s now somewhere around 1 in 10ish corpses that are actually able to be looted and only result in kitten loot.

Is this a bug or working as intended?

Undercutting and maximising your gold gains

in Black Lion Trading Co

MacLeod.5386

The problem is not the listing fee and fixing the problem would be simple.

Make it 16% NET above vendor as the minimum listing price, at least players might be able to maintain a mere 1% profit then, while ANET still gets their “superstore” style tactics market share of our profit.

As far as the TP and crafting goes, it’s only worth having the crafting professions to make items for you or your guild currently.

Undercutting and maximising your gold gains

in Black Lion Trading Co

MacLeod.5386

The TP is a joke for the most part.

Between the 15% tax and the imbeciles that list items for less profit than if you just sold to a vendor, I don’t even bother with the selling side any more either.

Zone around all NPC vendors/agents.

in Suggestions

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

I would like to suggest that some kind of zone be created around bankers, TP agents, merchants, trainers, etc…, that keeps all the players from stacking up on these NPC’s and allows enough area to actually be able to click on them.

When another NPC wanders into the crowd it’s kind of annoying trying to target the one you wish to talk to without having to stack on them yourself, adding to the issue.

Mainly this is in LA area, but it does occur in some of the world event areas from time to time too.

Break out event

in WvW

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

Ask the lower tier servers how they have enjoyed playing non stop zerg.

The answer seems clear, considering most WvW guilds transferred to the higher tiers for actual online gaming tactics, strategy, and fun play.

ZERGout, err… I mean breakout should be used on Eternal only, if at all. At least that way 3 of the maps will be worth a kitten to play on still.

Just my opinion.

WvW claiming

in Suggestions

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

I would like to suggest that either a “fee” be required to claim locations for guilds, or that Commanders are allowed to remove claims on non upgraded locations.

The “fee” should be something like the total amout to upgrade at least the entire first tier, if not the second too. The “fee” should also actually go to the physical upgrades and not as a “no reward” money sink.

If the “fee” aspect isn’t what people like, how about allowing Commanders the right to unclaim the places not upgraded so guilds that actually research WvW upgrades and use them can.

I’ve gone into WvW quite a few times to find everything claimed and less than half actually had a single upgrade.

Just some thoughts.

Selling problems

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

MacLeod.5386

I know that items that are soulbound or account bound don’t show up, it’s either that or possibly you are using an invisible bag or other type of inventory holder that will hide those items from vendors and the TP while they are in those bags.

"Extended Potions" bug?

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: MacLeod.5386

MacLeod.5386

I don’t know if this is a bug or just a typeo, but the rare/yellow “Extended Potions” that I’ve crafted on my Artificer show (2m) as a duration, yet the blue “Powerful” version shows (1h) duration.

They have the same stats other than the duration and I really think the “Extended” is supposed to be (2h) not (2m).

I haven’t been able to try them out yet to see if they actually work for 2 hours or 2 minutes though, because they are soulbound on aquire/craft, level 80 to use, and my artificer is not level 80.

Ectos poised to skyrocket

The other reason is black lion kits are too costly, there’s no way i’d waste money on them anymore. I was hoping for half price black lion kits on the sales.
The entire gem store is a complete waste as everything is too costly.

I was getting those kits out of the Black Lion Chest(Locked) once in a while, but I have opened at least 30 now with not a single stack of kits. I don’t know if they removed them from the chests or not, so I’m done with both the kits and the chests myself, until they fix whatever they intentionally or accidentally changed.
