My thing: lv80 ranger … Now im inbetween: continue my Engi ( lv30 all traits unlocked ) or my ele ( lv38 but need to unlock traits ) …

Does an Engi now fit in meta dung team? Plus, speed runs ?

So guys ill revive this thread to say : is it true that engineers rifle/bomb buils do more DMG in PvP than even walled GS warrior ? I mean it says so in the new dps calculation ( and im talking direct DMG). Are really engis now top tier direct DPS in dungs ?

Y well what id really like to know is : is there someone who can gimme a list of what achievs to go for the titles ? And eventually to get golden weaps ? The achievement points i dont care much… Thx

Hello everyone, so i see everyone complaining that u cant farm and whatever and that this isnt a good update at all, i already know that bcuz i havê experienced it.

My question is (i havent Done this last tear) : what is worth to do ? to get the titles and skins ( not sure if i can get this yellow weapons skins)? If anyone could gimme a list of thatid be really thankfull… Thanks

Aldo… If i get titles and completion on my Ranger all my chars will get it ? i havê already done some bosss in gauntlet and now ill create a thief also, will i need to do again ? Or if i create it now and get the titles with the ranger the thief will also get it ?

Hello there, i have a ranger lv80 but now i was towards lvling a new character.. i have made an Elementalist to lv28 or smth but it bored me a little so since i have a lv30 engi (dont need to buy all skills xD) i might prob test it out..

But i need to know: Is engi now good in pve? duingeons and fractals… because i saw that they now have a good dps rotations with rigle and nades and id like to know if thats true..

Also i need a meta pve build pls (link) thx

Well as for races imho, as well as from what i read in many places already, racials are not up to class utilitys so it wont make a diference so id advice u to chose the one you enjoy the most (lookwise), wich in my opinion is by far the humans, both gender or norn female (light armor on huge male looks clumsy)….. if u dont pay attention to armor and like some nice emotes and fight movements why not give a shot to the small asuran also? enjoy ur ele…

Never tested myself as i dont use this signet when im in signet build, but from what ive read when i was researching on it is that: it works just the same way with or whitout trait, so if this is true, wich appears to be, dont worry, u dont need to swamp ranger to survive, in other words: you will not get conditions on you

my m8s are running dps guards in dungs…

well elementalist is becoming more and more of an option as it add’s zerg support and dungeons support + eventual dungeons max damage if traited…

between elementalist guardian and ranger for WvW + PvE what would u guys point at?

Bout the 3 guardians in a team (dungeons/ fract): does this work? i mean, will it slow down the dungeon or fract to much?

Ive been talking with some ppl on the elementalist forum and elementalist is becoming a more and more option…

Now if i may ask, and go a little offtopic:

Stick with my Ranger or go Elementalist? WvW + PvE mostly (the rest just a little eventually and for fun)

Iris gotta give a +1 on that post … thx for your help… im now more than ever considering an elementalist, will prob use the advantage that my server is atm dominating our tier wvw to get some fast grind in there…

will just do a little more research and then decide over if i stick with my ranger for another shot in the dark or just go and give elementalist the lead…

if i may ask, between ranger and elementalist people?
(my ranger usually runs with traited frost spirit + spotter, stalker and moa for might and fury, pretty normal build in pve as it is the only viable one unfortunately, what concerns me is that, i dont think that what it provides to the team does make up for the lack of damage and still broken mechanics on our best pve weapon (sword)…so it might get frustating in the meantime…

I didnt said i would do PvP with firestaff nor that id always be with firestaff…offcourse not…

What i asked was… If it happens that im kinda bored someday and i just wanna do low LVL fracts or dungs … It will work just do to a damage build firestaff skill spam ? .. Just asked that ;p .. Thanks .. Hope u guys get my point now…

Remember tough, Warrior doesnt have an high skill roof wich may end up boring u, just sayin what i hear, cuz i dont have warrior

Im not worried bout WvW tough m8, cuz Guardians are great there, no matter how many, but in Dungeons and Fractals…

For PvE, in what concerns party acceptance and viability in meta team compositions dont think, go warrior, otherwise u might have kinda hard time…

But engi is really fun and also great in pvp, wvw content…

meh, their kinda like me, they just stick to 1 char u know…

Thx pain for the fast awnser, my problem presists in this: i have a ranger and im kinda tired of getting to do SO MUCH for it to work on normal rates that im tired of that, wouldnt elementalist fall into this path?

Hello there, im a Ranger for some time now and id like to try smth else and maybe… make that smth else my main and kinda only char, as i like to only play 1 class whenever possible.

So as the tittle sugests im inbetween Elementalists, Mesmer and Guardians;

Can u guys list a Pros and Cons for these classes? (Seriously pls, no GO WARRIOR, thx ^^)

Atm my idea is:

Ele: As mobility (I like mobility), great in dungeons playing hardcore or softcore (Fire staff), not so good in pvp, great in zergs.

Mesmer: lacks mobility out of combat (what a problem…really, i love to be fast out of combat.) Other than that they do well in everything else i think.

Guardian: Good in everything, lacks a little the damage compared to ele, but they fit everywhere, the problem is that i already have 2 m8s that usually do dungs with me and have guardian mains, and i dont know if it is worth to have 3 in a party for most aspects, tough id like to hear smth over this… thanks

Warrior is a great all arround class;

You will fit every good party composition in Dungeons or Fractals;
You will have a easy and good time in WvW Zergs;
U do well in Solo PvP or Organized Teams;
U will room pretty well in WvW to cuz u have mobility and good 1v1 capabilities;

So in summary, warrior is a ok class at everything, while being great in some of them, not many flaws.

The Problem in my opinion:

No high skill roof (easy to pick up and play… and do well.);
Not a big skill rotation, weapon swaps are not really needed in most content from what i know (not sure on this tough);
Its faceroll ^^;

Hello guys, im having some trouble chosing my new class (Probably making it main and prob kinda only char)…

So to make it simple: (Topics)

- I have lv80 Ranger with 3 exotic sets, commander status, some account improvements and so on…

- I know Guardian fir anywhere but my problem is: I have that small group of m8s that usually hang together and we are smth like this:

2 Guardians + My Ranger + 2 Warriors + 1 Necro + 1 Elementalist (Lvling).

Would it be wise to create a Guardian? would it be workable or smth in higher lvl content to have 3 Guardians in same party when we happen to be the 3 online at same time? wich happens a lot…

If not, my other options are: Elementalist and Mesmer (Mesmer my problem is off.combat mobility).

Can i play my elementalist effectively in pve and in wvw when im bored ? (not changing attu all the time. was thinking on fire staff build 1-2 spam.)

Is it worth making elementalist your all arround character? Over creating Guardian or Mesmer or sticking with my Ranger? (That is because i dont like to have all classes, i like to have one and improve this one.)

Hi there everyone, kinda new to the forums, this is my first post actually

So my problem is: I have a lvl80 Ranger, i have like 3 full sets of exotics on it, some ascendeds, commander status, i pretty much know how to work every viable build, and so on and so on, but u know… its ranger and im always in a doubt on either i should go on on it and do everything to improve my ranger or in the other hand just give it a long sleep time and move on to smth diferent in wich i can spend my time and actually accomplish something…

So my question is: Should i or should i not was my time levling an elementalist to lv80?
My goal is not to have the most op class all-round, if i did i would simply go Warrior…wich i dont want to… My goal is to have a class that is good at pve (wich i know elementalist are), either played hardcore (boon wise) or softcore (firestaff) wich is awesome…

Also my thing is, can it actually be good in wvw, small scales and/or largescale battles? pvp can be attainable with good practice?

(my other options are: Mesmer, and maybe, Guardian.)

Hope i get some nice awnsers from u guys, and sorry for the long post.
