i highly doubt it. Stealth can’t be replaced. it’s a huge work for Anet.
I never said they should or would just that people hate Thieves because they have many active defenses and high damage. Not saying Thief is Overpowered or anything just saying people just want to hate class that can’t be killed easily but kill fast.
Well after typing that I think it’s also people hate quick and short fights which is what the thief will give you even if you win or lose.
Saying just because not everyone can do it, doesn’t mean it’s right. Correction, 2 Rangers cast 2 Entangles and get 10 people, 1 mesmer just uses mass-invis and they all walk out of it.
Also the vines shouldn’t have to ‘see’ their target to continue holding onto it…..
If the 2 Rangers cast 2 entangles that still puts 10 roots on the floor those 10 people have to avoid, it doesn’t competently stop the elites.
it’s still puts immobilize on them so even if you stealth you still have to wait a second to get out, this isn’t the other elite that can be stopped with other skills, boon hate skills can hinder many elite benefits like warrior’s signet of rage or ranger’s rampage as one and many transform skills that give stability.
The Roots can also be destroyed by aoe damage and since the roots don’t have that much HP it doesn’t take long or much. An Aoe condition cleanse can get ppl out of the entangle also. You’re posting like Stealth is the fastest and only way out of Entangle.
Not every class can just stealth out of it, but you’re right on the fact it’s not the greatest in pvp. In PvE on the other hand it’s really good since mobs rarely attack it so it lasts the full 20s. Also it can reroot you if you stand back on it so a ranger can sit on the root to hinder you if you try to melee him.

It’s because entangle acts like a summon/spirit/pet and does require to see you to attack.
Given your best estimates, how much of a difference would 100% celestial w/divinity runes make versus say 100% berserkers? I’m wondering if it would be worth the month+ of time investment.
Just based off of a quick guess assuming 65%, if you somehow manage to have full exotic celestials (and assuming there’s a celestial jewel for trinkets):
+514 to all stats, +52% critical damage (greatest uncertainty here).
Zerkers with ruby orbs in armor (and of course exquisite ruby for trinkets):
+1123 power, +782 precision, probably +74% critical damageZerkers should be pretty accurate as I took the numbers off of the wiki then added the stats of 6 ruby orbs (wiki includes gems for trinkets). I have a pretty good certainty ont he celestial set’s stats except the critical damage. Oddly enough superior divinity adds the same amount of +crit as ruby orbs which is why it’s above my estimated 60%. That said I haven’t checked if they made it possible to craft celestial accessories. At the moment the only available exotic celestial accessories that I know of are the triforge (able to ascend) and the ancient karka shell, the latter is unique so you can’t have two of them. That said, if it’s not possible to craft celestial accessories, the numbers would change. I’m too lazy to calculate just armor right now.

It’s almost laughable that an ele would complain about a warrior he can’t catch.
I mean if my enemy would run away I’d say cheers for me since I sent him away and couldn’t manage to fight toe-to-toe with me.

Isn’t that the same reason people were QQing and posting nerf threads about RTL was because it allowed eles to run away?
I don’t think people posted they really want to nerf warriors. They just want RTL cd reduced since they nerfed the real reasons the ele was over the top, that being cantrips and some water traits, in the last couple of patches.
Try this as an ele, more then likely you`ll just get 1-2 stuns & die

It’s hard to believe anything the devs say anymore since most of what they say never happens. Remember when they said aoe damage was too much in there State of the game? and what has happened since then? More skills got changed to do aoe damage.
It’s hard to see in the videos but it looks like every ele you faced that didn’t take damage from your grenades had frost aura on.It may be caused by some weird bug when someone has Frost Aura and the Protection boon on them or something else with Frost Aura since this bug started happening after Frost Aura was changed to “Incoming damage is reduced by 10% while under the effects of this aura. Enemies are only able to be chilled by this aura once per second.” Maybe the stacking reduced damage is somehow messing with grenades.
You are a very bad Ele if you can’t keep up a very minimum of 12 stacks of might at all times. Guardian’s one ability does not recharge fast enough to allow for constant might, an Ele’s blast spam keeps up might at all times.
To say a Guardian is better is flat out wrong.
Ele’s blast spam can keep up might only because we spec for boon duration, just like guardians could spec for it so it be up at all times.
Saying that eles can do group boons better then Guardians is just flat out wrong.
Eles are not the top at anything. while we can stack a good amount of might, guardians can do 12 stacks to the party in 2s every 20s with just one skill that’s alot better then what we can do. Boon sharing by aura sharing while good also requires 2 traits while being stuck in the D/D or D/F weapon set to make good use of those traits and when you compare that to For Great Justice! that can be used for any spec on the warrior well…seems kinda meh if fury sharing is what your going for.
With that said I don’t think Eles are underpowered because we can do good support while dealing decent damage but Eles are not top dogs at any one thing.
I wish they would just change the Attunement cd to like 12s. Change it to so that we get the 5 point traits of fire/air/earth/water passively as part of our attunement mechanic, put in new 5 point traits that improve those passives like the One with Fire Trait, and change Arcane to be like Lingering Elements instead of decreasing attunement cd, and put in a trait that gives -2 to atunement cd where the lingering elements trait was. IMO that would open up builds and encourage use of the class mechanic.
I find it funny how the ability to run away is the deciding factor on if a class is OP or FOTM in alot of people’s minds. I doubt ppl will flock to D/D ele, consider they also said they are going to add more movement skills to thief.
To me and others, like OP, taking a full 8 min to kill a low level champion doesn’t make alot of sense. But I guess, to each her own.
It makes sense considering they can drop the same loot as the higher level champions.
They increased the downscaling when they allowed all the mobs to drop the player’s level gear it’s part of their plan for players to get rewards from low level areas but not make it so farming low levels is better then higher level mobs.
For me the “stream of profanity” usually only happens when asking in map or team chat but if you ask them in tells they’re usually more friendly and open to talk.
I think most engineers just target other engineers to compare how good they are to other engineers
I usually target D/D Eles first because they are the easiest for me to kill, or at least make them RTL away.

Since you are defending, the additional range allows you to more easily throw your Combustive Shot (F1) into assaulting enemies. Use the regular tactics to deal additional damage (i.e. throw _Arcing Arrow (3) for the finisher damage).
Stronger Bowstrings doesn’t give Combustive Shot additional range.
