I love to play the Gunpowder and Steampunk Class – So it was obvious for me to pick Engineer five years ago.

Played Powerbuilds with Rifle+varying Kits all the Time, crafted a Legendary Rifle.

Then HoT came and turned my class into a freaking Hammerer – Only Condicheese provided Gunpowder with Pistols and my Legendary Rifle was just getting dusty inside a bank vault.

Now with PoF my Engineer becomes some fancy Swordmaster – And thief gets a dedicated Rifleman, Marksman, Sniper call it what you want specc.

I am out, I am sooo much out of this class.

Rename the Class Engineer into ‘The Experimental class thing we actually can’t find a theme and name for’.

Because it’s the only profession that does not bore me after playing longer than half an hour.

For me I’d say it’s the fact, as long as you don’t do blunt power bomb 1 spam, this class keeps me busy all the time and the versatility kits and toolbelt offer me, compared to quite some other classes who keep their few hardhitters on cooldown in the right order and watch how 50-60% of their overall dps comes from boring auto attack channeling.

Engi rocks. (as long as you dont do bombkit 1 spam <.<)

Half WvW zergs disappear unable to log in again for hours….dungeon parties collapse as 2-3 members from different servers and countries dc at the same time….come back online just to get offline again seconds after they where listed online….everything in the WWW works EXCEPT GW2 for me and many others in international EU Friends/Guildlists since yesterday, but hell no, it’s not an issue related to GW2 servers trololo xD

Since yesterday WvW reset I can barely play…it started I couldnt activate any skill anymore in WvW, though I could chat, others could read my chat and I could read their answers though the game was frozen in lag.

Then those instant-dc in loading screens started around 21pm UTC+1, tried it 10 times then actually moved on to a game that works.

My Conncetion was fine, streamed from US website, streamed from EU website, played a fps online match…fine

Today logged in at 13pm UTC+1, could play for half an hour until now….dced and instant dc in every loading screen attempt to get back in game…and guess what, connection to the rest of the internet is again without any problem.

Actually staff as I have no clue how the wanna balance out a high ranged dps or even worse high burst rifle on thief.

For the sake of the high burstkill potential in melee Thiefs allready suffer from not having easy acces to many things other classes have and pvpwise are allready pidgeonholed to D/P and play high risk. HOW ON EARTH do you think this class will end up if we would be able to smash out hardhitters out of stealth on 1.200 range with a rifle?

So I hope for a melee staff which is more defensively oriented in terms of blocking/protection and so to maybe used in combination with S/D when acrobatics is made a bit better, as stealth isnt a good form of defense anymore and S/D dodging very hard and unrewarding due to acrobatics nerf OR a staff that makes you a life leecher/boon leecher like ESO’s Nightblades do with a destruction and/or restoration staff equipped (Caster assassin/rogue/thief whatever was really fun to play there)) as the Thief still does not deserve his name as he is more than ever before a “Burst or be killed” Assassin.

For sustained mid-long range dps for lazy pve`ers or zergwvwers it’s up to Anet to balance out P/P finally.

Yep, dat video was is legend and the redesign of kit refinement was atrocious. xD

No other profession whining here, just a curious engineer why so many ppl in pvp are outrageous about one of the WORST setups (IMO) out there!

“Noob111 Conditioneer op nref l2p”…Keep hearing that over and over again by the rare occasions I clearly win a 1on1 with dat build(thieves not counted, they are poor scrubs vs any condi build) even trapper-rangers and burnstack mediguards recite these words when they lost…

However when playing Conditioneer I hardly kill kitten with this bullpoo of a setup…and do ten times better when playing soldier or marauder rifle, I even win more 1v1 but no one is outrageous about.

When using condis I am somewhat similar geared and traited to “Dual Kit Condi” build on metabattle.
My only offensive pressure is burn via blowtorch (when P/P) and incendiary powder, if that is cleansed/blinded/blocked/evaded/immuned my pressure is almost non existent as bleedings applied by geomancy sigil and shrapnels are horrible, poison via mortar/pistol 2 doesnt do much. Defense is horrible too, not to mention how incredible bad you are in a condi vs condi fight, you are focus target no1 and defensive skills are atrocious, you get ripped apart by condis you are unable to cleanse before when in elixir s and toolkitshield is pierced by more and more skills

I am really curious to hear the reasons why conditioneer is ought to be such a super noob and stronk build (I hardly see any other engineer running condis these days) while marauder/soldier rifle are so legit not to compare other classes condi builds bringing a lot more pressure+defense+condicleanse without the effort to groundtargeting a lot+swapping through kits and bars than conditioneer does.

Enlighten me, folks!

Well, never thought I’d say that one Day: Right now dungeons and PvE is the only branch where engineer actually feels viable and useful…oh and fun!

Over the last month I completed an excessive amount of dungeons and fractals running the Sinister+Balthasar burnstacker and the current “Power Grenadier” meta with zerk+Scholar.

Sinister is definately viable for most dungeons but my experience is Power Grenadier still is a lot better and Xyonon summarized it perfectly.
Additionally i gotta say power feels far more rewarding to play. To me its far mor fun to see the huge drop of hp when going through the rota instead just watching burnstacks and keeping burn abilities on cooldown.

Ye Staff ele is still somewhat better (Icebow..lol) but IMO is the most boring class to play in dungeons out of all!

Medkit rework on June 23rd = No better parable how Anet has no clue how their own game is played.

Support the cause. Not just scaling issues with Healingpower, just overall new medkit du-ugh….

I cannot describe how much I would appreciate to get beaten by a server wich is not only present in forum kittenstorm, as I said im really lookin forward to end of the season/new season in silverleague.
Becoming the last one in silverleague would be a pleasure compared to win a league “full” of semi-dead servers only shining in….well….kittenstorm

Really looking forward to the end of the season and a slot in silver league one day, can’t read this qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq of germanophobian kids in bronzeleague any more.

I’m going to enjoy RoF’s next matchup thread about the next evil alliance against them.

I found myself reading all this QQ bout a german alliance while smashin’ down some Dzagstuff (spend the most of this week on green HL).
