Currently there is a borderline exploit for consuming your Skritt Worker Contracts.
If you go to character selection screen after opening a Skritt stash and log back in, the stash respawns and you can open it again. So you can open a lot of contracts in a short amount of time making the various locations of skrit stashes completly useless, since you only need to find one location to consume all your contracts.
Such huge bugs should not happen if Anet would have proper test servers and QA. These easy to find but gamebreaking bugs are unacceptable to me even if it would be once in a lifetime.
Work at ANet, and then your “should not happen,” “easy to find,” and “unacceptable” might carry weight… atm, they are at best uninformed opinions. Sometimes life doesn’t wind up working the way you think it should… this is one of those instances for you, it seems. If it truly unacceptable to you, then try some other MMOs… maybe after you’ve experienced such occurrences a few more times among those other MMOs you might come to understand how unmindful and sophomoric your stance is.

I never witnessed roll backs in other games without any kind of compensation, even if it was something small like bonus loot chances or bonus exp for 24 hours.
its too bad if you dont want the money of us casual players, i bet a lot of people would gladly pay those 8000 (or more) gems to skip this season annoyance
I think we should all get 800 gems compensation. I had to redo this annoying frostgorge sound stuff, lost pips because my winstreak was deleted and more.
Then you think wrong. Kitten happens. These types of events as uncommon as they are, are an occurrence that can be expected to occasionally happen in MMOs. Learn to cope; you aren’t owed anything beyond the apology they’ve already given.

I have actually been sitting in the same tier for over a week already and finally thought I get out of it. Now I lost 5 pips from loss streak and the pips from the win streak i lost due to rollback. Now I am in a worse spot than 7 days ago

I lost my winstreak due to the rollback (and some pips of course) and now on a loosing streak and lost even more pips. This whole season stuff should be abandoned because it is just a mess.
Will the Crown Pavillon ever come back? I want the opportunity to earn sovereign weapon skins, the lyssa backpiece recipe and a shot at the Liadri miniature.
There were a few hints that the crown pavillon might reopen this month, sadly I got disappointed
Why not roll the game back to day one and see how many would not complain then.
That’s not even comparable given that any company that went 4 years without making a single database backup would be incompetent beyond all belief. In this case there was a backup made not only within 24 hours of the downtime, but 2 hours from what I’ve been hearing. Many more people would have logged in that 4 year period and created accounts than in the window of yesterday.
Some of you seem to be ignorant (willfully or otherwise) of how rarely this sort of thing happens to ANet and that their games have always had amazing uptime compared to others who need to take servers offline for updates/maintenance on a regular basis instead of a simple restart like we experience here.
I’m not white knighting here but this is one area that you really can’t attack ANet on. They made a mistake? They’re human, just like you. There was complete and utter transparency and the game was up again the same day. Sure it sucks that you lost play time, we all did. But unless you’ve never made a single mistake in your life, there’s really no legitimate position to attack them here. And if you’ve never made a single mistake in your life, you best be handing yourself into a museum as an example of complete and utter perfection.
It happened to a MMO before where the devs accidently deleted the whole database and noticed that they have no backups. Forgot the name of it though
@ Artalion the Sale was flickering red from monday 6pm EU time (sale ends soon, wich means 24 hours left). It ends right after patch. Trade post already had it removing during the playtime after patch.
According to Mike O’brien purchases made in cash shop will not be rolled back, so if you purchased them you should still have them.
So tip for everyone, if it says SALE ENDS SOON (even without timer) it means 24h left, 6pm EU (+1 gmt) time aprox this ends (5-8 hours earlier on day for america, depending where you live). So buy fast, don’t doubt to long.
I wish the game would be more pay to win. I would gladly spend thousands per month if it would give me advantages.

I thought this minigame is a waste of development time. It will be dead within 3 days.
I would go as far as calling it unplayable because it is impossible to see where the ball is Also there are no rewards.

Josh, I suppose you won’t give us an answer about what are the change. But can you at least give us the areas ? Is it a change about the MMR, pips system, leagues, seasons ?
It’s too early to give concrete details. First we need to finish up development and then run through our internal “it is ready to ship?” process.
In short, we agree with a lot of what has been discussed on these forums. Leagues need to do better in the prestige department, and the pip system can’t really support that. If you’re in legendary, for example, you should truly be in the highest percentiles in terms of player skill. Leagues also need to feel more rewarding, especially once you’ve landed in your correct division. In the current system, the rate at which you earn rewards slows down significantly as your climb becomes more difficult in the later divisions – but you should still be rewarded for playing in your correct division, even if you can’t progress any further.
Another area of focus for the team is improving match quality. I can’t go into detail here (it will be better explained once we can talk about the entire scope of changes), but I wanted to let you know it’s a priority.
