I haven’t missed the point, and you are wasting my time. You use these generalizations to make my guild sound inferior with no backing. We’ve wiped groups with higher numbers than ours many many times. In fact, the thing that gets us wiped the most is trying to take on groups 1.5+ times larger than ours. We are constantly adapting and using different tactics, different comps, and different ideas to attempt to better ourselves. If you want proof of this I have plenty of videos, plenty of guild meetings, and plenty of people to back that claim up. One random guy who pretends to know what he is talking about without doing any research other than “Oh I saw them wipe a few times” is completely useless and trying to discredit the accomplishments of somebody else in this way shows low class, and disrespect. Frankly, you are a non-factor and I’ve already wasted enough time on you.

Sorry to waste other people’s time reading these posts. Some people just have weird personal vendettas and need to check their perspective a bit.

kitten straight we didn’t win Tier 1 before IRON. They’re a great guild and we had almost no coverage in that time slot before they got here. It doesn’t mean anything that we didn’t win before they came here other than we actually sleep sometimes (some of us do anyway).

I honestly don’t care if a few people on BG whine about us getting new guilds considering they continually get guilds to their server on a regular basis. We’re not going to run away with it this week either, although the other servers may take a week to recover from their hard pushes last week. I’ve watched EU timeslot and by no means has SoR dominated it.

We’ve been having some really fun fights for the past few weeks, its been great. Thank you RISE, WM, and KnT for the recent fights us in Choo have had against you guys, always a pleasure. Same to HzH and Agg. Looking forward to more fights as the week goes on.

As a representative of Sanctum of Rall I think I speak for most of us when I say we don’t need this many people so your alliance would be better off elsewhere. Sanctum is currently the top server in NA, really all we need to have nearly perfect coverage is 1-2 20-30 person Oceanic guilds and 1-2 SEA guilds of similar size. I honestly think that your alliance would be better off helping a Tier 2 server make the jump to Tier 1. Server building was some of my favorite times in this game.

If you are dead set on moving straight to a Tier 1 server, JQ would make the most sense, because a move to BG or SoR would completely throw off the balance of Tier 1.

As an engineer with 3,000 hours of play on my character I can tell you….there is hope! After much messing around with builds I have found not only one, but two that are viable in WvW. The biggest thing to remember is that engineer is a hard class to play. There is no getting around that. There is a skill barrier and if you are not up to the challenge then I suggest you try a different class.

That being said the first build I use, which is for zerging, is for high dps and healing Water fields are one of the most important things for an organized group, and with the short cooldown on healing turret, you are a great asset to your zerg.

Healing Turret is the BIGGEST WATER FIELD IN THE GAME. Make sure to use that water field on regroup, and your commander will have water fields at almost any time during a fight.

Also, Elixir gun is a must. Not only can you use it to get out of bad situations with the #4 skill, but you can also heal and lay a light field to remove conditions/grant retaliation. And remove conditions from your group with the #3 skill as well!

The second Utility you will want to use is for survivability. As an engineer you don’t have great escapes, Elixir Gun isn’t always enough. Or you may want to get through a zerg without getting crushed beneath it. For this use Elixir S. 3 seconds of invulnerability is a life saver.

Third Utility you will want to use for zerg fights is Grenades. I was a skeptic and hated grenades for a long time, but they really can be a great tool and make you a huge asset during those big fights. The thing is, with grenades you will have to sacrifice a bit of survivability, as grenades in all PTV is just not good enough. Which moves me on to the next part. GEAR.

You will want to use as much Berserker gear as you can get away with and not die. So basically have two sets of gear, one PTV, one Berserkers. Put on full Berserkers and add more PTV until you are comfortable with how much you can survive during fights. That’s where skill comes in, because the more skilled you are, the more Berserkers you can use without dying.

For traits you will want to maximize damage, 30/30/0/10/0. The important traits are any 20% faster recharge rates, extra grenades/farther range, and Elixir S on 25% health. Other than those you can pick what you think is best.

This build is for a ranged playstyle, so you will want to keep out of the front of your zerg. Keep to the back and the sidelines and don’t get ran over by that Melee train. The most important thing you can do for your team is survive throughout a fight so that you can rain down continuous AoE damage and load the enemy up with conditions.

Engineer, when played well, is one of the best and most versatile, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Have fun out there, and I hope this helped anyone who wants to play engineer

I’m not sure if you’ve made your choice already but as a representative of Sanctum of Rall I would have to say, please don’t come here. We’ve turned away guilds already because we don’t want to destabilize our community or become overly stacked.

If I were you I would move to a Tier 2 server. Every server in Tier 2 seems to be pretty stable, and all of them have some great WvW players. I’m not sure what TC thinks about transfers, but if you could get in (what with them being a “Full” server) they would be a great choice.

Of course that could just be me being selfish because if SoR ever fights another server with a really great NA I get to have more fun

LOL, [SG] you act like you didn’t die over and over to us (while we were GvG-ing another guild I might add). At worst you were a minor annoyance, not even worth much thought. Give us a call for a GvG when you get relevant in WvW Respect begets respect.

I’d like to thank [Pro] for the great GvG today, those are the types of fights that I love playing GW2 for. Tip of the hat to you guys.

I’m fairly sure it wasn’t a member of Choo that banned you Raiden, I was actually looking forward to the Karaoke :< Not even sure how you got banned if you weren’t on the teamspeak when it happened O.o

JQ, SoR, and TC have been the most stable so far in NA. The reason not being simply wins, but that they’ve been put through the fires at times and still are in the top tiers. Anyone that was in SoR throughout the times where we were outmanned and outcoveraged for MONTHS in Tier 2 and Tier 1 can tell you that we have earned our place on that list.

If I’m not mistaken, JQ has never dropped out of Tier 1, even when you think that they’re done they come back out swinging. If only they had more NA guilds for me to fight against :P

TC has a community that’s talked about on other servers. You dirty RP-ers. I feel like I haven’t heard of many (if any) WvW guild transfers to their server yet they’re the server to beat in order to get to Tier 1. Personally I think that if they were to really rally up their server and maybe get a little more coverage they could easily be in Tier 1.

p.s. Vizunah, lol good joke. Maybe they’d make Tier 2.

Dear Tier 2,

First off, I just want to let you know….I love you. Every now and then when the going gets hard up in Tier 1 I just look into your eyes and everything is ok again. Tier 2….we had some good times…and I even thought you were the Tier for me. But, alas, I’ve moved on. I’ll always remember the good times though. I see my good friends of TC are still around. I’ll never forget hearing the hoots and hollers of ‘wtf dolyak parade’ as I walked through the fields of Tier 2. Ahhh Christina Lee I see you’re here as well. Or do you go by Legendary Lee these days? I don’t forget a vocal ex-Choo ;D And Rawnoodles of EMP fame! I think we were 4-6 during our GvG. I’d like a rematch at some point.

One of these days it’s likely that one of you Tier 2 servers are going to make it to Tier 1. I’ve faced some of Dragonbrand’s guilds already, and same with TC. Fort Aspenwood, I still have a little grudge with you for the time you ticked at 695 against us during the orb fiasco. Good luck to you all, I just wanted to drop by and say…..what kind of bagels do you guys like? :D:D

LOL. I can’t believe people are so sad about SoR’s recent good fortune. Honestly, IRON brings 20-30 max at one time into the TS every day. After months of SoR staying in Tier 1 with lower coverage than both JQ and BG, now that we have some we get kitten for it? I’m just glad that now maybe our oceanic group (HIRE/OCX and others) won’t have to map hop all night and morning to try to keep us competitive. SoR’s on a morale high at the moment while JQ seems to be at a low, this is what I would attribute current ppt/points on, along with our newly gained coverage.

Instead of calling us skill-less maybe you should focus on bolstering your own forces morale and stop making excuses. I’d also like to say that those numbers of MERC versus the number of HIRE during oceanic are totally off. At worst it’s a 9/10 ratio every time I’ve seen and I’ve ran with them quite a few times. Every now and then one has more than the other, welcome to WvW!

Anyway, for all who aren’t QQ-ing, thanks for all the good fights! I know plenty of people on JQ and BG that I love fighting against. Shout-outs to my friends on those servers, you know who you are ; D

LOL. SoR must have had 10 less ppt than usual during NA primetime at some point. Mance was getting excited cause he wasn’t a giving us Spikes and Hooves for 4 hours for once. On a side-note, as a representative of Choo, I’d like to say that WE make the best clam chowder. KnT’s clam chowder is ok, but the flavor just doesn’t quite make the grade.

But srsly, what sort of bagels do JQ and BG enjoy?

I prefer cream cheese myself, or maybe bacon and eggs.

Really proud of SoR right now. I was on this server starting on day 1 when we were almost at the bottom of the Tiers and now we’re in Tier 1 AND in first place. It is the start of the week so we won’t let it go to our heads, but JQ and SoS better watch out. We plan on setting up shop here.

I am shocked and appalled. Things like this can forever change the tide of WvW! Please help this poor soul get his siege back, I implore you Anet. Don’t just do it for him….do it for the children. The children who lost their toys and never found them. You can save the children, Anet.

I agree, there shouldn’t be random mobs in WvW. If nothing else, the mobs shouldn’t drop XP and loot. If there was no XP or loot there would be no incentive to bot in WvW, or clog up queues with people doing PvE.
