Why are you even comparing tooltips of Autoattacks?
You can not compare these without comparing the full picture.
And the full picture is – Warrior has much better scaling with Power. Warrior hits harder with Hammer than Ele when both use Soldier’s Amulet.
Ele also has to give up on 20 weapon skills and 1 utility skill to access Conjured Weapon. This is why you do not see much Conjurer Eles around – Conjured weapons are just too weak for the price you pay for them. 2 out of 5 Conjured Weapons are not used EVER. One was used in very special case – Frostbow for Treb showering on Kyhlo. The other two were used rarely – Lightning Hammer for occasional knockback / daze and Conjured Greatsword for some mobility. All these were used only by support Eles who could afford giving up utility or elite slot for that option.
Look, even ANet agreed Conjures suck and handed them a small buff in recent patch. They still suck though and no amount of passive stat increases will improve it, short of truly extreme ones.
Because there is a major problem with conjures – they conflict with Attunements. You can’t access all your box of trick while you wield Conjured Weapon. Thus, they will have very niche and limited uses forever.
3 month later from now, February 15 grand patch.
2 designers that work on pvp balance finally got to Elementalists and engineered brand new fixes that class needed badly since November 15.
Elementalist patchnotes:
– Dragon Tooth now properly applies blast finishers on the place where it hits, so that you can grant 3 stacks of might for your ally who was never there by comboing with fire field that was never there;
– Fixed Magnetic Grasp so it does not provide unintended Leap Finishers so the last 10% of you Eles who tried to make D/D Auras work in pvp can finally reroll or leave the game like the other 90% of you already did.
Communtiy rejoice!
I hope you feel great about it Arena Net.
The one of only three (other two being Water GM ones) truly well-designed, engaging, gameplay-shapening traits Elementalist has. The best of the three. Worth creating a build around it, and it took not only build, but also skill to truly capitalize.
And you killed it.
Was it too powerful? Yes.
Did it deserve a nerf? Yes, the 10 second CD on blast should’ve been there the whole time.
But what did you do? You destroyed it. You removed the still beating heart from a living being.
And along with it, you destroyed a whole dimension of Elementalist gameplay. The whole playstyle I’ve enjoyed for 500 hours I spent on my character in all sorts of game modes.
I can’t bear playing Elementalist any longer without Evasive Arcana and all its hectic twitchy gameplay.
So bye-bye Elementalist.
And I never found any other class that I truly loved in Guild Wars 2.
So bye-bye Guild Wars 2.

Since this game is closer to shooter types than MMO I guess it’s a good idea to borrow ideas for new modes from shooter type games.
For example:
- Breach Imagine some sort of Keep assault map https://www.youtube....h?v=jE0oCKKOGoA
Three control points are laid out in fairly linear fashion. The attacking team must capture these points in order before time runs out, with each successful point capture adding time to the clock for the attackers.
- Scramble https://www.youtube....h?v=ItWTvcZM4VM
In Scramble, there are many possible control point locations, but only one is active at a time. The first team to capture and hold three points wins.
- Payload https://www.youtube....h?v=iLmvehhx1dw
Payload is an asymmetrical map where the attacking team escorts a container full of explosives along a predefined path into the enemy team’s base, and the defenders must prevent them from doing so while there’s still time on the clock. Escorting the container past each of three checkpoints adds additional time to the clock for the attackers.
Good things about those:
They’re still point control, not deathmatch.
They promote actual 5v5 fights around single currently active point for a change.
There is a lot of space to add varios map-mechanics, like siege weapons for Breach for instance.

So… You totally failed to notice how that guy’s own argument actually counterproves his (and also yours) point. All right.
So because i work during the night and sleep at day means i am not allowed to do WvW?
Read better.
1) I suggest leaving EBG open 24/7 so you can play there
2) ANet has data on amount of players in WvW every hour during 24 hour-day. EVERY server (even ones with full nightcrew) has several hours when wvw is barely even played by people. If you’re that one special cornflake who plays only at 5 AM – you’re welcome to do so in EBG.

so because i can only hop on and play when you are asleep means my effort in wvw should be less rewarded then yours?
So because I hop on and play wvw while you are asleep my effort should be rewarded 6x times more than yours, right? Because I’m in ur keeps freecapping your orbs.
It was done in some other games.
You “tag” enemies when you heal/buff someone who has those enemies tagged.
Simple as that, and would go a long way.
I’d sign for that. Camera needs some work. In cluttered areas you’re basically blind.
I would also suggest allowing full Zoom IN so players can use first-person view as well.

Doesn’t anyone see how stupid that is?? Im about ready to give up on this game wich i love so much.
I see, and I feel for you. Yes, something needs to be done.
So people who are not in the US should have penalties when doing WvW, or play at times that suits US only. Sorry, any suggestion like this is not going to get much consideration. Anet has already stated that they will NOT enforce some “penalty” simply because they play at a different time because others are in bed.
I am not suggesting any penalties. I suggest that if you play on US when it’s night in US (Mere 8 hours per day), you have only one WvW map available to queue. Whatever you do there still counts towards the objective 100%.
Rather than having US and EU only servers. How about recruiting guilds/people from those other countries to your server. Organize a nightcrew that can hold the line at night. Anet has already made it clear that they will not institute ANY “penalties” simply because some people play the game at different hours.
1) That would defeat the whole point of HAVING divided EU and US servers.
2) Americans on EU would suffer from lag and vice versa.
3) What you suggest is basically forcing everyone who wants to be competitive to either recruit a nightcrew or become a nightcrew.

1. There are no breaks in war.
2. There is nothing stopping you from nightcapping and/or defending objectives at night.
3. What you are suggesting is locking things so that other people can ONLY play when you can play.
You really did not participate much in wvw did you?
Right now all you need to pwn in wvw is not skill, not coordination, not teamplay – you need 50 people who can waltz in empty enemy keeps during night.
Many very bad, weak, uncoordinated servers with very few guilds who have +100 income during primetime are rocking +600 income during night ONLY thanks to off-primetime nightcapping zerg doing PvDoors action.
Current design is a counter-intuitive dynamic that encourages europeans to play on NA servers and americans to play on EU servers.
And point by point response to your post:
1) I do not suggest a break in a war. Eternal Battleground should be opened always. Only Borderlands maps should be locked and only for 8 hours per day.
2) I have a life to live outside of Guild Wars 2. I can’t play WvW 24/7. I need other people to cover it for me. Read above.
3) I suggest not to “lock things for everyone except me”. That would require locking all the maps for 21 hours per day. I suggest locking 3 maps out of 4 for 8 hours per day. One map active should be more than enough for any owls who enjoy nightly WvW.

Not server locking.
Merely partial map locking.

“GADefence
What sort of reward are you talking about? Point income? Lol, it would work out VERY wrong if you do it.”“high reward = 150k exp, 3’000 karma, 5 silver for grub, low reward = 25k exp, 500 karam, 1 silver for grub”. I’m meaning that rewards would be you get from capping, making night capping less lucrative. Full points has to stay on since it’s bad overall. But less points mean the population will be more balanced.
Sadly, pve rewards (currency, karma, xp) are not the reason of nightcapping.
Nightcapping is done to get wvw points. The changes to event rewards would not stop or discourage Players vs Doors during nights.

Example of your suggested system exploit:
My server has 150k points. Enemy servers have 10k points each. It is still 5 days till the rematch.
Optimal modus operandi for us: Cease all WvW activity to artificially reduce the income of enemy servers so they can’t catchup with us.
I disagree, I’m sure that many of the people who play at “night” do it because they don’t have a specific server region for their time-zone, so they just had to pick between EU and US…this would not be fair to such people.
Eternal Battleground should be open 24/7, so they can play there.
If you check out the queue graphs for WvW maps (ANet published it several times) you will notice the absence of queues (which means the maps are not full) for many hours per day.

Good day.
I’ve basically summarized my suggestion in the topic name.
As of now, WvW encourages night-zerging. Your server just can’t be competitive if you do not have people from around the globe playing, defending your assets 24/7.
This is very disappointing for most of us who stay true to region we belong to – Europe in my case – you work very hard during day sieging that keep for hours, finally capture it, and in several hours you lose it in under 20 minutes because you have 5 people defending it and 40 canadians attacking it, since its 5 AM in Europe and primetime in Canada.
It would be great to lock all three Borderlands map for at least 8 hours per day to prevent Players vs Doors @ night that happens all the time. You can even freeze Borderlands point income for that time.
Eternal Battlegrounds can still remain available 24/7 (so people can hop in WvW at any time).
The exact Borderlands lock time should depend on region primetime (you should have enough data on that already). Something like 01:00 AM to 09:00 AM CET for example should work for EU.
It would also encourage the “natural” behavior of sticking to your home region instead of promoting transfers to different regions where you can have your assets defended 24/7 on all maps.
