Something every necro needs to do at least once in their live time.

Corruption boom is really bad, nothing become a really usefull for its cd.
I corrupt a warrior with 22 stacks of might and it become 1 stack of some useless condition, instead of 22 stacks of bleed.
I’m glad someone said it. Other people claim this is our best skill and paired with epidemic we are viable. This can maybe be said for tournaments which I don’t do.

The build showed 0/0/0/0/0 for me. anyone else?
2300 max crits at the end of an auto attack chain in melee range is the reason to run it? If so like I said it’s just better to roll another class. This spec is fun theorycraft until you actually try to make it your daily spec and realize your just clowning.
your beserker crit damage build while popping in and out of deathshroud for fury sounds awesome but it isn’t. I tried it thinking this was the direct damage answer to the necro, but you are so limited and better off rolling a pure damage class if you are going to try and pretend to be one. You guys can try it too but you’ll go back to conditionmancer.
i began considering rerolling yesterday when a thief hit me over 12x with pistol whip for 16.5k in approximately 1 global.
I then roamed WvW some more and ran into a rifle engi who I completely outplayed, but just could not do anything to it’s health.
I went into the Mists to test out some direct damage builds, maybe a cool dagger dagger lifesteal build, and basically wasted 2 hours of my time.
I realized I liked scepter dagger dishing out a lot of cripples, fumbles, blinds, and average bleed damage, but switching to the staff was a chore because of the long durations. If staff had shorter durations and an auto attack skill people actually liked, I think I would fall back in love with my necro. If the #1 auto attack for staff did a bleed I wouldn’t feel so terrible about everything.
My necro is often the one pushing and forcing back an enemy. You can make people very nervous once they recognize your character. Using the elite skill Plague you can alternate the 2 and 3 attacks, keeping up aoe Fumble and aoe blinds, and the increased defenses lets you wallow around for a good while.
Also aoe conditions are also good scare tactics as you can drop 3-4 aoe’s and get people flustered. You can chase people off a gate solo just dropping aoe’s. An aggressive necro using shroud and other tools makes people uneasy.
But make no doubt, this class is mostly smoke and mirrors and probably the least effective damage-wise. You will be ranged utility. If that’s your thing then sure. A smart necro fears off rez attempts, you can pop #2 in death shroud to blink/chill a fleeing foe, then fear them backwards to your friends. You can pull people off keep walls, or back from a water’s edge.
You are not a fun class to be fighting, but if your enemy is a good player and geared, you are basically hoping there’s a realy good dps nearby to save yourkitten It’s not glamour at all, just novel and fun. I can win a lot of 1v1’s as well, but not against a straight up equally geared decent player.
A ranger spamming showbow #1 autoattack will kill you. I love mine, but I wish I had rolled a guardian or ranger, actually just anything else. Yay for a challenge….but no seriously it is fun. (and unrewarding).
Not to stack it on, but i would love if I could cast GTAOE while jumping or mid-air.
Also someone said hemophilia and ;ingering curse are not stacking for longer bleed duration. Anyone test this?
