I don’t know what knobs they’re turning over there at ArenaNet, but the problem seems to have gotten way worse for me. I’m the lower pop servers, and where before it would take 3 large groups to cause lag, now I lag just from 2 medium sized ones.

The way I can tell that I’m about to die is all of a sudden my buttons stop working. Then they work after a 2 second delay. By this time, the other teams are appearing on the screen and I’m getting steamrolled.

The Greatest Player In The Game is undeserving of this type of treatment, but I figured out that you have to move slower. When the lag starts, I try to hang back until they render. Seems to work alright then, but it would be nice if they could get this figured out.

Have done the guild thing before, but it has always been either a one man guild, or a guild with no more than 5 people. Yesterday in WvW, I got tired of my “team” being spawn camped, so I sent out some whispers to other players that were out there flipping supply camps and killing stragglers.

We ended up taking back our side of the map in EB, only to lose it later. Getting there was a lot of fun, though.

On Kaineng right now, we’re in the bottom bracket, in 2nd place. The first place server received a large amount of transfers and are currently in the lead by a good amount.

I’ve always been solo. Always done my own thing. WvW is too much fun to suck at though. And while I may in fact be The Greatest Player In The Game! I can’t one man a group of 20 zerglings.

So The Pillage People was conceived! I’ve been inviting toons that I’ve played with and won fights with. Formed yesterday, there are currently 5 of us, 3 of whom represent the guild.

I’m not going for anything hardcore. Not going for people with “experience” in MMOs. I’m just looking for people that want to play. Looking for good teammates. People that are willing to take one for the team every now and then.

You’re out there, I know you are. You’re the 2 man guild just like mine was. You use group abilities. You raise the fallen. You carry that crappy weapon with the group speed buff just so everybody can move faster!

Got big ideas over here at The Pillage People! We got the best name. All we need now is the best people. If you wanna join up, send me a message through the forum message system and we’ll talk about it.

No it isn’t useless, buddy. People move off good intel, they just don’t send you a personalized thank you note each time.

The most important thing I can think to know is to leave your personal feelings out of it. Just give raw info. Give #‘s, direction traveled, any siege weapons, % left on your doors/walls. When I’m one man defending something I just type something like,“20+ Red @ _, no siege. Gate 90%”

You don’t wanna blog in the chat. Think brevity. Think specifics. You don’t want to demoralize the whole team by saying useless things like “OMG!” or “RUN!” Sometimes you even gotta exaggerate the health of your gate! Nobody will come running for a gate at 20%, but they’ll come for one at 50%.

You can even scout around for a target. Running up close to something will let you see how many supplies are inside it. Note the wall/door upgrades. Any siege you see behind the door. As a Norn, if I kill the door guards, I can look in and see if there’s a catapult back there.

If you’re one of those kids that are constantly typing in the chat, telling everybody about everything you see, you need to quit doing that. Sure, it’s just a game. Sure, most of you are kids. But if you listen to police radio chatter, it’s a good example of what kind of info is necessary to share. Imagine if it was full of feelings and emotions like WvW chat is. Imagine if people always said in 10 sentences what could be said in 10 words!

It’s good to see a thread like this after skimming through this sea of whines and complains.

Forgot to say, a little while later another player was complaining about disappearing siege weapons, too.

Today I bought several siege weapons. Among them was a catapult. While attacking a keep in Eternal Battlegrounds, I went to lay a catapult on the outer wall. Laying the catapult resulted in the catapult disappearing from my inventory and not appearing on the ground to be built.

I attempted to lay a ballista on a stairway of the outer wall. I wasn’t allowed to place the ballista, but it did remain in my hands.

Also, while trying to lay arrow carts at Bravost, I found that I could only place two on the wall with the gate before I couldn’t place anymore. Have changes been made regarding how many siege weapons you can place for defense?

From 1200 to 1600 is wide open on Kaineng. Overnight could also use an extra bump.

Theres a few benefits to coming to Kaineng. For one, you get to play on the same server as The Greatest Player In The game. That’s the only benefit I can think of at this time.

Really, though. We need people in the slots you’re talking about. On the days I have played during the early afternoon, I have run across nothing but mindless mouthbreathers. A commander icon during that time would make a positive impact.

Unfortunately, seems like you have to group in order to rake in as many as possible.

The time is coming when you’ll abandon that server and come to Kaineng. Here at Kaineng, we win. Here at Kaineng, our siege weapons produce badges. Here at Kaineng, we don’t bleed in public to try and evoke symphathy when we’re behind.

There’s plenty of room over here for you kids that are smart enough to swallow your pride. The good thing about being on the bandwagon is that you go to bed every night as a winner.

Psychological Operations! You Devonaites have no chance! This particular player was very aggressive and responsible for many deaths. He charged me and tried to kill me several times. He inspired the Devonaites to move forward.

And now he’s thinking about coming to Kaineng. Baha! Baha! Bahahahaha!!! As you can see by the picture, the Devonaites dove into their little bunny hole and never came out again.

Surely this guy whose name starts with an E and ends with an M told them that they were fighting against Mighteous. I’ll save you a spot, Sir Sprocket. Kaineng can always use a good supply runner.

As The Greatest Player In The Game, I’m sure that my forum messages are twice as valuable as any of yours. So when I use the old cliche, “You win some, you lose some.” I’m sure every one of you kids is going to write it down on a piece of paper and hang it on his/her refrigerator for inspiration.

Unfortunately for us at Kaineng, we always win! Stomping you Devona’s into the ground is like playing Whack A Mole. It’s fun for a couple of minutes, but then you realize that these moles offer no challenge or competition! Then you log out after an easily won battle, you go to the forum to revel in the glory of your victory, and you find that the moles are STILL bleeding from their injuries, and can’t seem to get over it!

Now as The Greatest Player In The Game, I realize that I am just naturally more intelligent than everybody else. So I decided to take it upon myself to go out and get something for you guys over there at Devona’s. (See picture) Judging by the tone of your posts, these are just what you need for what ails you.

Now, having killed you all weekend and watched you flee to the hills over and over and over again, I want to say a couple of things.

1. Thank you for the free money.
2. Thank you for the free tokens.
3. Thank you for playing Guild Wars 2. You all go huddle up for a bandaid/hug session. Do whatever you need to do, because this level of “competition” is just not acceptable.

Kaineng DOMINATES the prime time. What are you going to do about it? I don’t wanna hear about how your feelings are hurt. Or how you feel a “condescending” tone makes people look bad. I want to hear that you whiners have some sort of fighting spirit in you.

As a real man, I find myself disgusted the people I have been crushing into paste on a daily basis are unworthy of the honor. I’ve started to think I’ll just try to fight you naked to increase your odds, that’s how bad it’s getting over here at Kaineng. All these excuses, demands for respect, and pictures of people smart enough to make use of game mechanics aren’t going to even the odds. LOL.

What the OP said was very insightful. Eternal Battlegrounds was my favorite map prior to the removal of the orbs. Now that there are no more orbs for people to defend/attack, all the Waypoint Dance Teams and Young Bloggers of America have decided to invade EB and stink up the place to the point where I don’t even like being in there anymore.

The chat is constantly scrolling from some brat on a Monster Energy Drink high. Naysayers saying “OMG NOT SM AGAIN OMG!!!” You broke the game, ArenaNet. I hope you do something to fix this soon.

I hate to mention that game, but WoW had a good idea going with those vehicles you could drive (forgot the names) that had turrets on the roof. When you decide to create another Orb style mechanic, how about making it so that moving it involves more than one person? Require that it be mounted like a WoW tank (whatever you call em.)

You know, the great thing about playing on Kaineng is that we have such a small population. When one map fills up with a bunch of chat spamming Pokemon lovers who for some reason feel like /map chat is the place to express their deepest emotions, I can go on to the next map.

And if that map has a moron for a commander running around , you can go to another map! Usually that map will have no commander. No Waypoint Dance Squad. No Chat Fairy to guide whoever the PUPPY they think they’re guiding with their instruction every 30 second. No nothing but people who just show up to play the game.

Towers and camps get taken with few words spoken, if any at all. And if words are spoken, it’s mainly words like “Inc” or “Build” or “Go!” or “Kill!” That’s my kinda game right there. I was having such a good time stomping people into the ground, that I joined up with three guys from some barcode guild. To my surprise, grouping quadrupled my loot income! I couldn’t believe it. All this time without grouping, I could have had 1000 tokens by now. I always had a suspicion that would be the case, but to see all the tokens rolling in? You live and you learn though, I guess.

Devona- I’m glad you picked up these guys from SKY. Whether they’re transfers, or just a bunch of people who have been carving pumpkins for two weeks. They like to fight, and I like to fight them. With them there, it seems like you all have just the right numbers advantage to hold your ground for more than 5 seconds at a time. Good job. Clever guild name award goes to “Ganked In Sixty Seconds.” Got a good laugh out of that one. I also get a laugh every time I see a zerg from NOOB out running around. Those guys are walking tokens let me tell you what now. LOL.

Ferg’s- Try to consolidate the people you have and stick to one map. You all are aggressive enough. I was glad to see you try to kill us with a smaller force as we fought the grub tonight. Prior to that happening, I was thinking that you all didn’t even exist. You were stomped into the ground like some discarded Bubble Yum, but it was the thought that counted.

Kaineng- All of you kids need to abandon your guilds and join up with iSpy. They’re a bunch of veggie-loving Pokemon collectors, but those kids are good. Also, remember the three rules of WvW.

Few days ago, I found out that theres a bug with the guardian #3 mace skill. You hit that, and nobody from your team can get hit for 5 seconds or something like that. Not working as intended.

Yesterday, a large of group of reds mostly made up of players from the guild NOOB, took over the eastern keep in Kaineng Borderlands. As our commander lay there in the middle of the Lord’s room saying “fall back!” I charged in there and found something peculiar. The entire group was standing on top of each other. Almost like the Myrmidons from the movie The Iliad did. I thought it was so cute, that I decided to jump into the center of it and try to cause as much damage as I could.

Well of course, I died, and I look up and everybody on the map is “falling back” thanks to the brave commander’s battle cry. I thought to myself, that’s a peculiar way to fight. Stand in a ball where everybody can be AOE’d to death.

Then today, guys from a guild on the red team (can’t recall the name. Something like TMA or some crap) were walking around in a ball, similiar to the one I first saw when I encountered NOOB. Only this time, when I dove in to the center of them to mow them down, I was greeted with big letters that said “BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK” or “IMMUNE IMMUNE IMMUNE IMMUNE”

Being the genius that I am, I put two and two together. Were a zerg to have come through that door to kill NOOB, they would all have been under the protection of the Guardian bug. Depending on how many guardians they had that equipped maces, they could have been immune to all damage for 5 seconds at a time.

Smart, but kind of pathetic if you ask me. That they were able to get all their little zerglings to huddle up like that was the kind of organization that I might have been impressed with. Why they got together to huddle up? Well I’ll let you all be the judge of that.

Hello there,

I saw a thread the other day similar to my problem, but wasn’t able to find an answer that I thought was satisfactory.

The other day, I get an email indicating that an individual from China tried to log into my account, and that I needed to validate the log in attempt. I go to click on whatever the button was to deny the log in attempt, and it brought me to a page, which brought me to a dead end.

Few days later, there’s a prompt on the game launcher saying “Please consider changing your password” or something to that effect. I click it, go to change my password, and it leads me to ANOTHER dead end.

Now, just being suspicious jerk by nature has me thinking that

-The original email wasn’t legitimate
-The spies have hacked into the game launcher

Not really, but what’s the deal here? Why is everything I click on a dead end? The email leads me to a page where I either deny or approve access, and when I click deny it says "Failure

An error occurred with your request."

The launcher leads me to a similar message. I don’t feel comfortable changing my password when I keep getting messages like that.

You know, I said giving these kids free reign to transfer was a mistake because they all transferred over to the winningest server to hop on the bandwagon. I thought of something since then, though.

You never allow for people to see numbers. You give people numbers, they can think more critically about what they’re doing when they transfer from one server to another.

If the numbers say that it’s a winning server, but their wait time will probably be 45 minutes to get into any zone, they probably wouldn’t go there if they were in their right mind, would they?

These are MMO players here. They’re not your standard mouthbreather drooling on the keyboard. They’re used to figuring numbers! Give em some numbers! Let them see population figures. Figures for how many people queue up for WvW. Figures for how many people are transferring in.

What you got now is everybody making a mad rush to plant their flag in the “choice” lands. Well they don’t know it’s already been claimed by the PUPPY Sooners, that’s why!

How do you kids get away with this kind of talk? If I had said either of those things, I would have had a personal message from the moderator informing me that rudeness is not tolerated, and that they were thankful for my understanding! I bet, that the moderator has the same problem as I do.

Never heard of ya son! The problem probably is, I usually read signatures first, and since yours says “Devona’s” I probably just disregard everything you say. Weeks of mowing you guys down like an overgrown lawn has made me hate doing it, just like I hate mowing overgrown lawns! You can understand, can’t you?

Imagine you’re a bloodthirsty barbarian looking for a righteous battle, and the minute you charge into the red zerg from Devona’s they scatter like frightened sheep! That would trigger the chase instinct in a lesser animal, but for me it’s simply disgusting! I’m tired of it! Anymore when I see a group from Devona’s, I have to make sure and wait that there are 4x as many of you than there are of us so that you can feel confident about standing your ground! Otherwise, 10 of us end up pushing 20-30 of you into a tower where you hide on a rooftop with an arrowcart for 2 hours! It’s incredibly boring, son!

As for the guild “leader” from NOOB, judging by your little “o.o,” me killing and spiking your people over, and over, and OVER again must have occurred past your bedtime. As many of you kids I saw out there, I’m sure one or two of em slip past the reaches of your all-seeing eyes.

Just look here, son. Make me a promise. When I see you out there, don’t run from me. Can you do that for me? Can you do that for Devona’s? It’s about time I had some competition around here! Good man!

Delarme, that’s you isn’t it? Well, I’m telling you. Unless you figure out some kind of calculation to light a fire under everybody’s PUPPY, you might end up having yourself a Crow dinner come Friday.

The fighting spirit that we had wasn’t there tonight. Some kid said that the way our army was stomped into the ground was the best he had ever seen. And while the “commander” spoke in platitudes, saying “If you think, you’ll never win the fight!” or some worthless crap! He was crying “retreat” all night! LOL!

Now I know. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, and lord knows that cat’s deserve it, but those people weren’t there to win. They were there for good conversation!

If you’re a commander on Kaineng, and you’ve got more platitudes than you do siege weapons to lay down for your team, something is wrong! If your army is dying and you’re 2000 yards behind them running in the other direction, something is wrong!

In 30 days I have seen two commanders worth the 100g they spent. One of em transferred in and transferred right back out. Now all we got left is the one.

He doesn’t carry siege weapons around, he carries the IMPROVED weapons around. He doesn’t say “OK guys, time to defend!” He says “Spawn camp them and drive them out of the map!”

Last night we ran into the keep on the east end of the Kaineng map. The first time we wiped, he says,“Alright. The door is weakened. Let’s try it again!” The boy has no quit in him. He has no fear of failure.

We have too many “commanders” more worried about making a bad call! Too many more worried about quipping and being cute. Typing in capital letters. Telling everybody to “fall back” probably because it sounds cool. LOL.

It becomes impossible for me to mind my own business. Now there’s always more than one way to skin a cat, and Lord knows a cat deserves to be skinned. I’m not saying my favorite commander is the only way one should be. All I’m saying, is that he is the only one who goes out there to try to skin the cat! Everybody else wants to hug it, and squeeze it, and call it George. Chat with it! It’s sickening!

Who will be the one to step up around here?

spif, I’m surprised nobody said anything about it before I did. Maybe they were all devastated from being crushed by the littlest army on the map. We crushed them all night. The rookies who like to play in Kaineng lands can’t get enough of saying “We can’t win! It’s PRO!” LMAO!

I don’t know how many PRO’s I spiked in EB yesterday. How many times I watched them flee, in true Devona fashion as if I were the Tax Man coming to collect. There’s about 600 of em, sure. But they die just like everybody else does. They flee as if they’ve been on Devona’s the whole time!

I’m glad they’re there, though. Finally I have reds to kill.

With regards to the transfers, I happen to like the fact that they’re free. I understand that you’re a business, and going to a pay transfer system will probably bring in the money by the bucket.

I think though, that instead of just saying “On this date, you will no longer be able to transfer for free.” You should allow people a set number of transfers before they go to a pay to transfer system.

See, I haven’t used the transfer. If trends continue though, and my server fills with Frappucino sipping vegetarians who want to blog in the chat channel and link gear so they can compare the looks! I don’t think I’ll want to stay on my server.

If we catapult to the top on the back of my greatness alone, I won’t want to stay there either. I like to be the underdog. The mistake you made with the transfer system was to allow a transfer free for all thinking that these impatient brats would work it out for themselves instead of take advantage of it to clog up the winningest servers, and abandon the servers that lose the most.

Evidently that’s what’s happened, though I haven’t seen it on the smallest US-or the EX smallest US server.

What does this have to do with WvW? Everything! All this “kitten” nonsense is turning the troops into little snugglebunnies instead of killing machines!

Let all the other servers have their kittens, but cleanse them all from Kaineng!

From here forward, I use the word “puppy.” They’re superior, just like Kaineng!

Here’s a story for you.

So there I was in all my glory, playing in Eternal BG. Where the big boys play. I was playing my engineer toon. Green owned the caslte, and I just wasn’t satisfied with the way things were going. So I lay a trebuchet and start shooting at SM. I lay it in a spot that I had never seen a trebuchet before, because I wanted to see if it worked.

I end up recruiting through the chat for a spotter. A level 21 guy named Malice Rider volunteers, and come to find out, I couldn’t hit the wall! Meanwhile, a kid named Dougieh sees me, and gets an idea in HIS head! I leave, without blogging my intentions to the zone, and go to buy ANOTHER trebuchet. When I come back, ol Dougieh is there with a trebuchet of his own set up just a little further from where I had mine.

I lay a golem in the keep, go to get something to eat, and when I come back. Our army had broken through the wall and was fighting on the inside. Devona’s Rest, in the first move in their entire history that made me proud, immediately jumped on it and busted through the other gate. Meanwhile, we’re sitting there fighting off Fergs!

Well now, being the greatest army in the game, Kaineng kept on pushing. Thanks to the distraction by Devona’s we pushed in deeper, until it was a 3 army, lagging zergfest in the Castle Lord’s room. This was the greatest fight I’ve participated in to date. The only downfall was that pressing your buttons required a 2 second wait for any action to take place. The boss respawned around 5 times along with NPC’s. It was chaos! It was what I imagine the developers intended.

Through one whiner incessantly crying about the lag, we managed not only to eliminate both red AND green, but we captured the castle. Our dead didn’t lay there waiting for rezes. We ran back. Over, and over, and over again. We busted down the wall, over and over and over again.

It had to have been the greatest day in WvW history. Didn’t take any guild. Didn’t take any commander, though one happened to show up near the end. Just a collaborative effort on the part of a bunch of strangers on the internet. At one point I was half a millisecond from dying, and a guy with the name “Allelulia” in his name (can’t remember the first half) saved me! What a name! Here are some pictures:

After we had driven out our enemies, a group of us went north to attack Devona’s keep. This made them angry, and they came back with 3x the numbers while the other half of us held off Fergs from the west side. We held the castle for about 30-45 minutes against green and red, until finally red (Devona’s) took it from us. There wasn’t even a queue to get in.

Nothing is wrong with your game at all, ArenaNet. You guys did a great job. Note the lack of an orb bonus on any picture. In my opinion, the orb bonus is a great idea. Winners deserve to profit. Dougieh and Malice Rider were the heroes of the day. Dougie sat on that trebuchet for over an hour making a hole in the wall for our army to get in. Malice Rider was the original spotter, suffering attacks just to see if we were hitting the wall.

Rather than listen to the endless whines and cries from Obama’s constituency, ask Dougieh & Malice Rider what they want to see. I doubt either of em are swimming in tokens for what they did yesterday. But you don’t see a forum post crying about it, do you? ,They probably never even look at the forums. I wonder if they even know what they did. Probably just a couple guys having fun. Pay attention to those guys.

Mighteous, The Greatest Player In The Game

This was an enjoyable read. If only they could get you to write some of these personal quest lines, I might do more than hit the “skip to end” button. Last I heard I was trying to kill a dragon or some crap.

The great thing about WvW is that you can go in there and contribute no matter how “pro” you are. You say you’re new, and the only way to really learn is by immersion, so immerse yourself.

If you’re not good at destroying people and take no pleasure in /laughing on top of their corpse like I do, equip group abilities. Heal people. Raise people who need raised.

While it’s not overly complicated in there, there is a learning curve. You have to figure out what the supplies are about. When you should take them from a tower or a camp or a keep or even the castle.

There’s so much to do in there. You can play with siege weapons, run around and scout, swim around in the water and pick clams. Whatever you wanna do! When you start to understand how it works in there, you can start doing the boring, but important things. The other day I spent probably half an hour running back and forth from a camp to a wall just to help this other guy repair it. That’s the kind of things you do when you want to win the game and your team is full of mindless zerg monsters dreaming of karma points.

You gotta watch it in there, though. The time flies when you’re having fun.

Mail all the food to one guy, have him take what he needs and mail it to the next.

They probably do this to keep gold sellers from mailing off gold easily. I would rather you not be able to share you snacks than have some farmer mailing off 100g every 10 seconds and ruining the economy.

No I personally wouldn’t if that were the case as you described. Its easy to see a blue dot and follow it, and that is why there are so many commanders nowdays. Personally I think its stupid to buy a commander book if you yourself are not a leader, and your desire to have the title is simply to lord it over others, out of a desire for control, rather than to advance your server or advance your guilds standing. I am speaking broadly when I say this, so don’t take it personally if I managed to describe anyone.

I enjoy lording it over others, but that just happens to come naturally because I’m so much smarter than everybody else. So with that in mind, you can take my word for it when I describe Kaineng for you.

Kaineng, my home, was the server with the smallest population in on the US servers. We have people here who feel it’s more important to have good chat buddies and friends. When the going gets tough, they’re standing around complaining about why it’s tough.

Now the first time I saw Kaine, he was typing a good amount in the chat channel. That irks the freaking KITTEN outta me, when somebody blogs in my chat. Talking about their feelings, and crying about how life isn’t fair. This guy was doing that, but he was different. I don’t know to explain it, but it was different.

That night he put up a video of himself playing a warrior, running past a giant zerg to defend a tower. That initial part of the video impressed me because he made use of the little canyon to separate himself from the zerg. THEN! He was one of maybe 10 people defending the tower, but he was up on the ledge aggressively defending. Shooting people. Standing there to the point he was near death. This kid was fighting, man! And then I’ve seen him in the Eternal BG several times. He’s in there fighting. Level 2 or not, he’s fighting. He’s giving out good ideas.

I was most impressed by the videos he posted subsequent to the first one. The Grub was an idea that even I can say I never thought up, and I’m always wracking my brain to think up a strategy.

Lastly, the music he puts in. The editing. The overall appearance of the video shows me that he’s an intelligent kid. I would take him over 100 Fubuki’s or ANY of those kids from Warsworn, any day of the week. You can throw in Kaineng Raiders, Kaineng Kings. I’d take this kid over any of em.

Now you might have heard that I’m a troll. I’m too kitten good to be a common troll. I’m the puppetmaster. Not a troll. And I’m telling you now, I study everything. This kid is a good catch for Kaineng.

All the others who want to butter you up on the forum and get you into their voice chat for a good discussion? Well, you be the judge. I’m telling you. They don’t know how to win fights.

Oh, an additional request. Please allow the information available to the Commander to be available to the Scout. # of supplies, etc. Provided they’re in the same squad.

You’ve gone and created my favorite game, congratulations. I’m a different kind of player. If you ever see me playing, you’ll see the zerg go one way, and me go another way. I scout out the map. I think two steps ahead. All the time. When I see a trebuchet shooting, I can’t help but to direct the shooter to a wall, or a zerg, or to an enemy siege weapon.

On the other hand, I like to solo. I like to tell people to shut up if they’re crying in the chat channel. I spend most of my time recommending things to people who I feel are worth recommending things to. The 100g commander book is worthless to me.

As somebody who plays like this, I was thinking it would be handy if I had some kind of binoculars with reasonable range on them. Something that would allow me to zoom in, almost like that move that Hunter’s had on WoW.

I think that this too should cost 100g, or something reasonable. I think that the scouts should appear on the map so that the commanders know where they are. I’m not asking for any special abilities, just the ability to stand up on a ledge at a supply camp, and count the people attacking it without them knowing that you’re there. As it is now, you just about have to run up on em.

I want to be able to zoom in and see guild names. Insignias. I want to be able to assess the makeup of the group so I can determine if they’re an organized threat or a group of 6 rangers running around farming Karma.

As a reward for this brilliant idea, I think I should be awarded the very first Scout’s Compendium. I spend way too much money fixing my gear to ever save 100g.

I’m the only person in this game that matters, and I know who he is. Who you are, that’s the question. Your post is so short, yet you had to edit it. KILLER KAINE’s is so long, and he didn’t edit anything.

That tells me not only that you care, but your care is biggie sized, son! You might have to get a napkin, your care is dripping all over the place! And look at the freaking guy who broke down his post into quote after quote after quote! THAT guy doesn’t care?

That’s all I see here is care. It’s fitting, too. You know why, son? Cause you’re messing with Kaineng. And Kaineng don’t mess around.

You know, I’ve never been able to find anything that explained how the honor token drops are figured. According to my kill/token count, I’m getting about one for every 10 kills. Then again, I don’t even know what factors go into play in determining your kill count. I’d like to know the answer to that part of the problem, too.

As far as Guardians not being “limited” in ranged combat, I know a little bit about that. It’s bull. I use a scepter/torch, and I think I need a little bit of a nerfing.

The #2 skill (don’t have names memorized) can be used every 5 seconds, I think. The #4 skill when hit twice hits for a good amount. The #3 skill locks the poor sucker into the ground so he can’t move. You have retaliation and the F1 button to add more burning and damage. That’s not limited at all!

I’m sure I haven’t found the right guy to humble me, but I haven’t lost to a ranger yet. Not from my rooftop. And in order to hit somebody beneath you from the rooftop, you gotta stand on the ledge, buddy.

I have a proposition for those individuals who are offended by KILLER KAINE’S videos. Form a guild. On Devona’s Rest. You can shake hands and congratulate each other for your “kindness” all you like!

And then, I can kill you! It’s a win, win, kids. Suggested guild name:

INCREASED competition? You think after crying all over the forum that these guys are going to want to compete? Half of them will transfer off.

I think they need to get rid of this point system where champion servers like Kaineng are forced to stay in the same bracket and beat up the same people for two weeks in a row.

The other guy brought me here. I love the post, but when I see you out there, I don’t see the action.

Few days ago you guys from KWBH were attacking a tower. I ran through the gate maybe 5 or 6 times. You all did a good job of killing me several times and preventing me from getting in the door, but once you took the door and the Kaineng army arrived, you all poofed out of there! What is that? That’s not pulling up your sleeves, son!

You need to give your people as much time defending as you give them taking towers defended by 3 people! Devona’s needs to learn to play in all aspects of the game!

You need to periodically inform people of how the supplies & siege weapons work and why the barrell should have a number 10 next to it all the time.

You need to be efficient. Fast. And spend that silver on siege equipment. Drop two rams at every door. Winning is going to be expensive, son!

You need to stop standing there typing, and surveying the land or whatever the hell you’re doing, and start attacking the door! You can type while you’re autoattacking. You can pivot your camera while autoattacking, too!

Be the first to utilize the commander feature the way the developers meant it to be utilized. Tell people to join your squad, you’ll be able to see who’s carrying supplies and who isn’t. You’ll be able to use a chat that only they can see. Don’t argue with your detractors! Don’t debate them. Acknowledge those that make good suggestions. Manage them, son! You need to be willing to make bad calls. Willing to drive them to defeat.

Most of all son, eat some (see picture) and develop a thirst for the taste of E-blood. Talking on the forum isn’t enough. Editing every post that you write only shows me that you’re:

Unorganized.

Indecisive.

This is a video game, yes. But the traits of the person behind the toon shine through the screen. You have good qualities that I admire. You just need to harness them, young Sniffles.

The thing about stealth that gets me, is that there is no animation to indicate that a player has gone into stealth. For all I know, that person’s computer could have been struck by an atomic bomb and they disconnected.

The other problem I have with stealth, is like you, if there is a counter to it I don’t know what it is. As far as I can tell, you can hit somebody while they’re stealthed. I’ve stood there spinning my sword (I’m a guardian) and watched them appear as a pathetic pile of button mashing shame on the floor beneath me. But as I was destroying them, there was no indication that I was doing it!

It’s silly how stealth works. I charge giant zergs all the time, turn into a cheetah, and poof away while people avoid trying to look for me altogether because they know that they’ll never find me. I want those suckers to chase me, man!

I never read the instruction manual, but I would be willing to do so with regards to stealth. It’s a skill that any thief should be able to use, but not to the point that it makes killing them an impossibility. Those thieves who are able to use it that way are rare, from what I’ve seen. Most of them just stand there spinning around until you kill them dead. Those that know what they’re doing are too difficult to catch for me to bother trying.

I, for one, am rooting for you, Sniffles.

Keep up the good fight, young feller. One suggestion I would make, is that you not stand there watching as your team destroys the door. The more damage it takes, the quicker it falls.

You need to be The One, son! Stand in the front, charge the zerg. Every time I see a group of Devona’s I’m disappointed at how easily they flee as if I’m Georgie Porgie and they’re a bunch of little schoolgirls. I imagine them squealing in fear as they scatter like sheep at the sight of the great Mighteous leading yet another charge into their ranks. That’s all that ever happens with Devona’s!

You may be a group of casuals, but does that mean you have to amount to nothing more than speedbumps on Kaineng’s path to victory? I haven’t even been playing in there much, I’m so upset about easy victory, man!

Smarten up, and do it fast. Stealing candy from babies may be rewarding, but it sure as heck isn’t any fun.

Nice video. It shows that kaineng has the outmanned buff on them. Plus, KWBH isn’t in Kaineng anymore so that video is pretty old. Do people even think about the stuff they post?

Another thing it shows is the fight from the back type of mindset that keeps Devona’s from winning any fights. Imagine a whole army of guys like this. Playing female toons. Running away from everything more than anything.

Put em up against an army full of people like those on Kaineng. People who charge forward trying to kill people instead of just pick them off. Is it any wonder why Kaineng always wins?

I think the trick to getting PVP tokens is to group. I never group, and in 20 days and 800 or so alleged kills, I have 80 tokens to show for it.

Once I attacked a group that was assaulting my tower. I’m sure that I hit everybody, because I was in the middle of them and spinning around with a sword. Then a zerg guild comes along and finishes up what I started. One guy says “Alright! 10 tokens!”

I think I got a couple of junk fangs out of the deal. Then most of the time, I just forget to loot the bag. I’m not complaining at all. I could care less about the gear or the tokens, but it would be nice to read about what goes into determining whether you get one or not.

Sometimes I wonder if you kids know what you’re saying. Always willing to repeat something that sounds funny without knowing what it means. On another note, though. Try this:

Instead of blogging about your feelings in the WvW chat, and saying things like “Perhaps we should gather together and assault the tower at X location, a victory is necessary in order to inspire the soldiers and spur them to battle.”

Say,“Help us (then link objective)” Or simply type,"Zerg (and link the objective)

Instead of saying “I think we should set up a catapult here at this location and utilize it for the destruction of that gate.”

LAY DOWN THE CATAPULT and say “Build! Supplies are (link the supply camp) there.”

Write this down on your refrigerator and memorize it: BREVITY

I usually play a Guardian or an Engineer. Both of em have abilities for shooting fire through the door. That’s effective for stopping a zerg by itself most of the time. Especially if they didn’t come with a catapult.

If I know there’s supplies in the tower, I set up a catapult inside the door. When you do that, don’t just hit the door with it. You gotta toss a couple balls over the door at varying ranges! That’ll keep em from getting comfortable out there, and it’s fun to see a bunch of numbers pop up indicating that you just hit a zerg.

If the other team lays a ram, everybody should focus on destroying the ram. If you’re up on the rooftop shooting the ram, half the time nobody notices you because they’re taking no damage. You bust that ram you end up forcing them to use another one, and half the time again! Nobody brings supplies.

Last night I learned a new trick. I had a guy standing behind me as I threw flame through the door. Somebody on the other side got smart and kept hitting retaliation. So the guy behind me just kept raising me every time I died.

There’s all kinds of things. Good thread, buddy.

I think server forums would be great, too. In the meantime, if you type your server’s name in the search bar you can find everything that mentions it. That’s what I do to stay informed.

Last night I was trying to assault a keep door while listening to two brats talk crap about each others gear! Let’s let the scoreboard talk for a couple of days here. Keep all the fair weather players from bringing their carpet bags on over to Kaineng and stinking the place up.

Here’s what you need to do. You need to put up a picture of what your girl toon looks like. I know! You play a toon called Cinderella or something like that. Just put up a picture, and when I find you out there (I’m also the most observant player in the game) I’ll make sure to teach you a lesson or 15.

I don’t know who was there the other day, but it was the Eternal Battlegrounds, and I was looking at the map. Devona’s was hitting the castle from the north, and we were hitting it from the south.

Knowing how you kids want to hold hands in peace and harmony, I figured it was my duty to turn the game into what it was meant to be. A WAR game. Devona’s had gotten into the north side before we could get into the south, and so I started to use the chat. And I don’t use the chat unless I’m trying to get some whiner to shut up, or to spread a little common sense.

Not only did I use the chat, though. I noticed that many toons on my side were from SoS, the Chinese guild. There were also others from RMA, the Brazilian guild. So I took it upon myself to go to Google Translate, and figure out how to type “Attack the north!” in Brazilian AND Chinese!

So what ended up happening was that all of Kaineng went north and attacked Devona’s. Devona’s attacked us back, and then you had Ferguson’s Crossing in there attacking both of us. It was beautimous! And when we were all wiped out, guess who Devona came gunning for? Kaineng! Bahahahaha!!!

All in a days work for The Greatest Player In The Game! There will no peace treaty if I can help it.
