I noticed this as well. Also, while watching The Wooden Potatoes Path of Fire Post Show, it appears that the Spellbreaker will only get 2 stages of adrenaline worth 10 adrenaline a piece. Each burst (F1 or F2) consumes 1 stage of adrenaline. Therefore, only applying 1 stack of Berserker’s Power and 1 stack of Adrenal Health (if traited) upon a successful hit. However, you can add additional stacks of Berserker’s Power and Adrenal Health to the original stack as long as you successfully land a burst skill before the original stack expires.

Like Mikeskies said above, we’ll have to wait and see how things turn out.

Currently, in the Contacts and LFG panel under Friends/Followers the following information is displayed:

  • Name/Nickname
  • Location
  • Achievement Points

Although this might be enough information to satisfy many players, I think it would be more helpful to those that have large contact lists if you added the following:

  • Name/Nickname
  • Guild
  • Server
  • Location
  • Level
  • Mastery Rank
  • WvW Rank
  • PvP Rank
  • Achievement Points

Vanilla warrior most broken class in gw2?

Vanilla Warrior is so OP, it’s the only class you can play and win fights without using a monitor. All you need is a keyboard (a mouse is optional).

Note:
Be advised that even though it is NOT technically against the rules to use a Monitor, Mouse and Keyboard together in unison, salty whispers may occur when playing Vanilla Warrior in such a manner.

Oh! Don’t even get me started on PVP my friends!

Once, I held 3 points simultaneously (all by myself) while armed only with a warhorn! You heard me correct. No main hand weapons of any kind. Now you’re probably wondering how I accomplished this feat. Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. In fact, I’m not even sure how I did it. But that’s not important right now. All you need to know is that it happened and it was awesome. Warriors are truly OP.

Healing Signet not only has an amazing passive heal, it also causes skill lag to enemy players. Therefore, making it easier for warriors to defeat their opponent.

Also, I once killed 15 players with a single “Fear Me!”. It was glorious!

How’s that Choppy?

I agree with you Biff. Most of us use HS as a “Oh Kitten” button. Our passives heals are great and our condition mitigation is second to none. However, I think the changes that I sugested would make it a more effective tool in our tool box. There are times I’d gladly trade off some of my passive heal for a little extra resistance but unless I have stability or some good terrain to avoid hard CC’s, HS is often interrupted due to it’s slow cast time. Inadvertently changing the name from “Oh Kitten” to “Dead Kitten” button. Lol

Healing Signet needs to be instant cast just like Signet of Might and Dolyak Signet. The 1.25 second cast time is ridiculous. The passive effect is much stronger than the active. The only reason for activating it is for the resistance. If someone interrupts you during the slow cast time, it goes on CD and you’ve lost both the resistance and the passive heal.

Also, it would be nice to have pulsing resistance to counter classes that strip, steal and corrupt boons. There is nothing worse than sacrificing a huge passive heal to gain a few seconds of condition mitigation only to have it removed the second you cast it.

  • Reduce cast time from 1.25 to 0 or 0.25
  • Pulsing 2 seconds of Resistance every 2 seconds for 6 seconds

How about this. Make siege blueprints store in your wallet just like tokens, karma, etc. Assign customizable key bindings to each of them.

For Example:

Alt+1 = Equip Regular Flame Ram Blueprint
Ctrl+1 = Equip Superior Flame Ram Blueprint

(Key bindings can be changed in the Options>Control Options menu)

This way, you’re not wasting space in your inventory and you can equip siege blueprints with the touch of a button.

Storing siege in your wallet would make it even more difficult to get to when you need it quick. Not a good idea.

OMG! I can’t believe I have to dumb this down, but I’ll try. You do NOT have to open your wallet to drop siege. Blueprints are stored in the wallet to save space in your inventory. What I’m proposing is, assign Key Bindings to blueprints. Therefore, you do NOT need to open your inventory/wallet in order to equip siege. You simply press a button and the siege will appear in your hands.

Mighty Cole.7849

Since were all warriors, we all know how far 1 invulnerability will take us in our fights.
And if you are using Frenzy with berserker traited you have no idea what you are doing.

I was using Frenzy as a joke because your build is almost totally offensive. According to the build in the link above, the only defense you have is Berserker Stance (or you can swap it out for Endure Pain as the situation requires).

It has 0 defense if you don’t have berserker stance or endure pain in the build. I will die ALOT, compared to HARDLY EVER, without using that slot for one of the 2.

Really? One Skill is all that stands between “ALOT” and “HARDLY EVER”? So powerful.
I didn’t come here to upset you. But I can point out the pros and cons of this build from my prospective.

Pros:

  • 1 hit KO power against some foes
  • Almost constant “Unblockable” uptime
  • Spammable 1500 ranged burst that can KO 3 targets in a 180 radius
  • Spammable 450 range attack that can hit 5 players with massive damage

Cons:

  • Mobility and versatility greatly reduced because of the lack of Fast Hands
  • Slow movement speed because of the lack of Warrior’s Sprint (Relies on Swiftness)
  • Extremely low armor without any sustain, blocks or invulnerability
    NO Thick Skin
    NO Adrenal Health
    NO Defy Pain
    NO Spiked Armor
    NO Rousing Resilience
  • Very little condition mitigation (2 skills provide resistance but no clears)
    NO Cleansing Ire
    NO Brawler’s Recovery
    NO Savage Instinct
  • Very low health when compared to defensive capabilities
  • Lack of Stability (No stability what so ever)
  • Lack of Stun Breaks (NONE)
  • High probability of losing Runes #6 Buff early in a fight
  • Requires a group to maintain (Leeching boons, healing and condition clears from others)
  • Very unsupportive towards group play (except for Pin Sniping)

Special Note
The above pros & cons were based upon the build provided. By swapping out Berserker Stance with Endure Pain, you’ll gain a 4 second invulnerability (physical damage only) skill with stun break on a 60 second CD. However, you’ll also lose the most powerful condition mitigation skill for this build.

Well… it’s not completely defenseless. OP is using Berserker Stance for one of his/her utility skills. So it’s only 99% defenseless. Lol. Why not get rid of Berserker Stance and equip Frenzy instead. If you’re going to go full glass, why stop at 99%.

Usage: Commanding (really), roaming, solo, small group fights

The ONLY commander that would run this build is one that has a macro setup to spam “Keep fighting! I’ll run back from spawn” in team chat.

If you’re cautious and fighting deep in the backline of a boon sharing zerg, this might work.

Banner Warrior

in Warrior

Posted by: Mighty Cole.7849

Mighty Cole.7849

How are you expected to use multiple banners when you can only move one banner at a time?

Allies can carry the banners you drop. If you’re with a group, ask others to pick up your banners.

How does one go Berserk is it an F key similar to a Reaper Shroud, then you spam F1 until you need to fill your adrenaline?

Berserk is activated by pressing the F2 key after all 3 adrenaline bars are full. Warrior’s gain adrenaline by striking enemies in combat. Once an enemy has been defeated or the warrior leaves combat, their adrenaline will begin to decay. Pressing the F1 key with at least 1 full adrenaline bar will activate the warrior’s Burst Skill. Burst Skill’s deal massive damage based on how much adrenaline is built up. All adrenaline is consumed upon use of a burst skill.

What gear should I use for armor if I need more durability in PVE Soldiers or Valk?

Soldiers is more tanky vs Valkyrie because of the toughness.

Can I use a Hammer for my second weapon for break bars, I only ask because other than my GS it’s one of two ascended weapons to my name?

Hammer is great for Break Bars. In fact, every skill except Hammer #1 will deplete a Defiance Bar. Skill #2 & #3 apply soft control effects (Weakness & Cripple) while skills #4, #5 & Burst apply hard control effects (Knockback, Knockdown and Stun).

I hope this helps and Good Luck with your Warrior.

Cost of Upgrades

in WvW

Posted by: Mighty Cole.7849

Mighty Cole.7849

Likewise though, upgrading towers and keeps – cost alot. i remember burning through lots of gold daily. And if you had little overnight presence, you’d be back at it the next day.

I stand corrected. I agree that Tower’s and Keep’s were costly. To fully upgrade a pre-HoT Tower cost 1g 60s and a Keep cost 6g 15s. Technically speaking, you get the same upgrades now for free. Camp’s, on the other hand, will cost you about 3g to be equal to pre-HoT camps. What I’d suggest is, remove Packed Dolyaks from scribing and add it to the camps auto upgrade process. Therefore, an auto upgraded camp will be equivalent to a pre-HoT camp minus the cost.

Tactics and Improvement costs need to be revised as well.

Cost of Upgrades

in WvW

Posted by: Mighty Cole.7849

Mighty Cole.7849

Maybe I’m beating a dead dolyak here but, remeber the days when upgrading a camp, tower or keep cost less that the food you were probably running and anyone passing by could start an upgrade. 10s & 100 supply to start Fat Yaks (I’m not sure why it didn’t cost Badges of Honor). Now the camp has to be claimed by a guild, upgraded by someone in a guild that has permission to perform upgrades and use an upgrade (Speedy or Packed Dolyaks) that cost ~3g to make by someone that is at least a lvl 175 – 250 scribe (which is a small fortune in itself). My point is, Anet needs to cut the cost of upgrades, especially on vulnerable targets like camps. It’s nothing to spend XXg on camps then see them steam rolled by an enemy zerg before the upgrades even take effect.

Some WvW opinions from a long-time player

in WvW

Posted by: Mighty Cole.7849

Mighty Cole.7849

I have a radical idea

1. Remove the Glicko Rating System. According to Guild Wars 2 Official Wiki, The Glicko rating system is used “so that high-ranked worlds will battle other high-ranked worlds, and low-ranked worlds will battle other low-ranked worlds. This attempts to ensure that every world has a fair chance of winning matches despite differing levels of player participation or skill”. In a perfect world, all things should balance out. Unfortunately, Guild Wars isn’t a perfect world. Regardless of players skills, the team with the best overall coverage usually wins. After all, how hard is it to keep the PPT flowing when you’re the only team on the map. This isn’t helpful to anyone. It generates less fights (or should I say, more uneven fights) and creates less PPT deflection. Therefore, unless you recruit players to fill the gaps in your time zone, the final score will generally remain the same week after week and your chances in moving up in tier is slim.

2. Each server should have a system that records the average number of players from each team during any given time. I believe there is something like this already in use, otherwise, we’d never see the [Outnumbered] indication. During reset, this information could be used to match each team based on player coverage from the previous week. Therefore, regardless of what time zone you’re playing in, each team should have roughly the same number of players.

3. Give PPT more incentive by making it more rewarding and competitive. IMO, most people that play WvW want to fight REAL people. Otherwise, they’d be playing PVE. Make PPT rewarding by giving reward chests after reset. 1st place receives three chests, 2nd receives two and 3rd gets one. Make these chests substantial. After all, you fought an entire week to earn them. People might be more competitive if they know there is a prize at the finish line. More competitive = Better fights.

4. Create a World Participation attribute. Each week, as a player receives World Experience it will be recorded in their World Participation log. During reset, the amount of World Participation you’ve accumulated during the past week will help determine the quality of loot you’ll receive from the Weekly Reward Chests. Each player’s World Participation will return to zero after reset.

Like or Dislike new WvW Bordelands

in WvW

Posted by: Mighty Cole.7849

Mighty Cole.7849

First of all, I must say that the Desert Borderland looks amazing. If your computer can handle video quality at maximum settings, it’s pretty remarkable. So I give the interior decorator an A+. But unfortunately, that’s as far as my complements go. The map would have made an awesome PVE venue, but does not belong in WvW. It seems like it is ridiculously large and hard to navigate because of the terrain. This makes repelling borders almost laughable because of the time it takes to reach the enemy. The lack of Way Points in the East and West Keep’s adds to the frustration. With the Alpine Borderland, each fortification had a very distinct shape that was very recognizable on both the full screen map and mini map. You could tell where the walls and gates for each structure were at in a glance. The Desert Borderland map is too obscure. Also, the Keeps are extremely large and somewhat confusing to navigate because of the vast array of stairs, structures and over all layout. A couple of time’s, I wasn’t sure if I was on the inside or outside of my own keep and the map offered little assistance. Moving on to the World Ability Points. Reducing the cost of ability lines and completely removing Applied Strength/Fortitude to make them feel more attainable to new players or players with a world ranking below 300 is somewhat insulting to veteran players. Keep in mind, veteran players were newbies at one time too. We spent a great amount of time earning those abilities while learning how to play in an WvW environment. AF and AS were not OP. Labeling them as being unfair or speculating that they gave people this amazing game changing buff is simply untrue. They were a nice fill-in for builds that sacrificed power and health to increase other attributes to support different roles. Also, lowering the total points necessary to fulfill World Abilities means more useless points players are faced with. Here’s a suggestion, after attaining the World Rank of 945 “Silver Squire”, every point thereafter should be converted into Badges of Honor (Or some form of currency/loot).

All in all, IMO, the Alpine Borderland was rather simple. It focused more upon people actually fighting against people and emphasized the importance of learning the game mechanics.

Another thing I’d like to point out is, the major lack of incentive this new map brings to bear. What I meaning by this is, during the old days, people worked as a team and fought as a team. People would work hard to keep the supply lines flowing and the camps upgraded so the Keep’s would have the valuable supplies they needed. People would babysit the Keep’s to ensure that their Upgrades were started as soon as possible and in the right order. They also built & refreshed defensive siege. It took a lot of time, team work and effort to get a fully upgraded Keep. Therefore, when a Keep was under attack, there was a sense of urgency from all your team mates to defend. No one wanted to see all that work and time go to waste. Now that everything is on auto-upgrade and the Keep’s have no WP, defending a Keep seems pointless other than begrudging your enemy of a few PPT points and a little bit of karma.

Just my 2 cents
