Probably the chest thumping that is already happening in the post lol. I read this after work and I already want to go in and only attack BG… get your forum warriors in line your poking two T1 servers at the same time nonetheless….unless BG backs it up by the end of the week:)

BTW I hope this first page of posts turns into a QQ session of why a specific server comes in last….Can’t wait for the excuses and whining so I get a chuckle at the end of this week’s match up.

So, SoR guilds, I’m curious. I know we’re not really a threat PPT-wise, but how are we on the open-field? I hope we’re providing you with some good fights.
(Also, please stop dropping ACs and Ballistas when you have more people than us, it’s just bad form)

Way too many berserker builds IMO. If you’re going to make it in T1 you need to outlast an initial burst, not just make one and then die.

I’ve noticed this a lot amongst some of our “less trained” militia, and you’re right. Our guilds have an overall good grasp on builds and are pretty sturdy, but we have had trouble with rallying half an enemy force due to the death of one or two squishy militia following a guild group.

This distinct thing happened several times last night, actually. At one point we had essentially wiped an SoR zerg, with 2/3 of it down. We lost a measly two militia, and almost every one of the SoR rallied…which turned the tide of the fight in SoR’s favor.

I’ve noticed that a lot of what seem to be SoR militia are pretty sturdy. How do you properly explain a build to them: A) without coming off as elitists, without offending their precious hard-earned armor, C) in a way that communication is taken constructively and seriously?

SoR does seem to have a great track record in getting militia on-board and trained, and I think it’s a huge part of their success.

I have to give credit to that initial TC burst hit, man does it it hurt, if we don’t swing to either side (Most organized guilds shift; Militia takes it in the face) we are decimated. (watch your back line on this burst; makes easy targets if the enemy shifted to avoid the Hammer train)

Due to all of the spike coming just to down the zerg, not enough damage to finish them off allowing SoR back line to AoE or Rally our downed flipping the fight back in our favor. How is the TC midline? This may be the group that holds off on the initial burst and does it once they see the “dorritos”.

Also getting Militia into the scheme of things with builds is almost impossible but you can work around this with your guilds. Ex: If all the militia are zerker builds, focus more on support to keep them alive longer hopefully dealing damage. Also Build friendly guilds that are polite can ease some “newbie” WvWers into running working builds. Rule of thumb…1700+ toughness, everything else what ever you want. This will ensure you have a good survivability rate with your zerg after the first hit.

Overall I think TC has some very hidden potential to defeat SoR and BG in the future. You guys already have the core idea…“Keep fighting no matter what, don’t worry about PPT but smash their faces instead” Eventually after numerous wipes from a trained server, you think the other team wants to stay on the field? Then free capping for you for the PPT:) Build the community strong to keep fighting; show up first, stay late and you will eventually wear out the opposition.

If they ever had to merge servers due to lack of population I would love to see TC and SoR join due to the same ideals of never give up and keep fighting every day:)

Isn’t there a Spvp option to make your own arenas and rules up to 8 people? 8v8 was the GvG in Guild Wars 1.

Mass scale GvG is basically doing your WvW fights but not actually WvWing keeping the Q blocked for those that do want to siege. Try to take it to Spvp somehow, can u guest in the mists?

Only a WvW player has 2000 hours played but still broke, no map completion or legendary and still sees FOTM as Flavor of the Month.

I thought FoTM was a European server…we never got to see in NA rankings.

Whatever math says that SoS should be going against SOR is bad math.

This is the point that needs to be contested. The current system is placing SoS against SoR and TC (TC was bad enough last week). We aren’t even one day into the match and people are already packing it in for the week.

Might have something to with the people that don’t know how lose ( I know its bad odds)….just saying. Saw some true SoS shining out there tonight much kudos. . Great Fights tonight for those that stuck with it, got my teeth kicked in a couple of times and loved it:)

I’ve watched SoS fall down from T1 to T4 because people are used to winning. I thought we recovered from that mindset. I guess not.

Ask yourself what will happen when you win or lose. Our NA is limited and we still fight on for the fun of it and not the score.

^That is the heart of SoS right there. Fight to fight where you can, not the score (afterall this is what is balancing the server to equal matchs eventually)

Quiters are going to quit; Haters are going to hate. If WvW is too tough go PvE, SpvP, Keg Brawl, something. Because it sounds stressful and there will be a strong person to fill your spot that will be there each day because they like smashing faces:) Come back when this person secures the PPT you want mkay.

Agreed on both. Just like in RL you will have those “Har Har yous dumb people”, but the majority will help, join a committed but casual WvW style guild or have your guild work with theirs when in WvW. You will see the friendships and sadly addictions that can build in WvW

Q:Double team whats that?
A: Something a server usually causes by bad history,hitting a target at the worst possible time (Careful who you may annoy on the map; sometimes when you left alone don’t poke the wrong server)….and doesn’t need any communications between servers <- is the greatest part.

I agree that the recent rolls have been off, but remember they are balancing out over the weeks with this craziness. I would like to say to TC this reset, I very much enjoy you guys coming to the battlefield no matter what. You guys just keep fighting much respect!
If Anet does kill the zergball, I do expect to see you guys in Tier 1 level or even #1, great organized groups that know how to work together. Keep fighting the fight for the experience, if you chicken out of matches you learn nothing…some servers are quitting at simply seeing the name of a server they rolled but you guys are champs.

Also a word to the servers complaining, it will balance out, but I always heard how the lower tiers we so stagnate forced to fight the same servers never able to break out of the lower tiers…well here we are! Your meeting the top tiers now. Rally your troops get them in there and fight, a good commander doesn’t quit. He/She jumps in and takes it as a challenge, so what if you only win 1 tower, the odds were against you and you had a victory, that’s what matters; The Fight!. Yes there is more people but also a zergball is just that 1 zergball, you could hamper supply, harass towers and bleed out a top tier by sheer annoyance. Can’t get a WP without yaks making it in…kill those yaks, cap that camp when no one is looking…Guerrilla Warfare, has been done through centuries against larger forces. Be fast, Agile and Clever.

I personally watched an organized group of 5 cap lowlands for over an hour non stop to prevent a WP in our Hills, they simply capped and ran off, hid, timed it and ran back for the cap again. Imagine 5 of these on a map…. I learned from this if ever our guild decided to break into multiple havok squads to “choke” the supply.

Here comes the whining, but does anyone remember what Rank SoR came from? We didn’t start off strong at launch but built our way.

So it seems the other servers are experiencing what SoR had to deal with since day 1 in Teir1… did we fall out of Tier 1 or did we keep fighting? We get 1 guild and turn the tables, just goes to show the Quality over Quantity we have over here. Stop whining on the forums and get in there and fight!

Especially BG, you guys were mocking SoR since you got your first “Gold” now we are going to be tied. But we have more Silvers…….Medal wise we will be better (This was your form (BG) of measurement months back, remember) unless you do something about this impending win….
wait BG will just absorb more guilds (what server can they absorb because apparently even 6 guilds can’t help) and then steamroll all the lower tier servers going forward for their false sense of “Champs”.
BTW I had no idea about the rivalry with BG, then I saw how all of these guilds flocked to you and then disappeared, yet you guys kept whining. Out of all the T1 servers you got the most guilds, what have you done with them? Each month I hear more and more whining when the “Grab all the Guilds” plan fails. Build your own guilds from Blackgate, consolidate the Guilds that fell apart and want to stay, into one guild. Just do something instead of crying.

Anyhow good luck in the future (I hope a lower Tier doesn’t wipe you too soon, that would just be an ego boost to them, I do actually want to fight BG in the future, I need to get my second legendary, couldn’t get the first without the loot bags!)

Much respect for JQ, you guys have always proved why you have the most medals and long standing T1 community. So go out fighting and don’t whine about coverage please. You guys used to have a monster force on coverage which was a challenge to face. We understand the fair weather types and perhaps they got spoiled with the hardwork some of your guilds put in for #1. Now your down (but not out) and by whining here your giving the PUGS a reason not to show up, when you need them more than ever at this point to field numbers. May seem like a bit of JQ love, but hell JQ earned my respect:)

SoR keep fighting the fight, we have a huge shadow laid before us in the form of JQ to overcome. Too much ego will make us fall, not enough will make us stagnate. Remember where the server roots came from and where we are at now. No matter the odds we are here to fight!

So with the new match randomization this upcoming reset may be the last time us 3 face each other. A few things and then the trolling may continue or perhaps realizing this is our last week will bring us together to dominate our lower tier servers and rise up again .

Despite all the Forum Warriors arguing, name calling, accusations and what not. This has been a great match up overall.

As a Rallian I want to thank both BG and JQ for bringing the pain as we first started our battles in T1. At this current time JQ and BG are just experiencing the lack of coverage that we were experiencing, which I am hoping recovers quickly for more epic fights. SoR we have been there and if you are stepping on these fellow T1 servers we are no better than the trolls at the time that was us. Many times it has been said stay classy T1.

A bidding farewell to you JQ for the time being and until we meet again after next week. JQ is still the King even if ranked differently no one can argue the amount of time spent in T1 and golds. Much respect for all of the guilds I have seen, from the mega zergs to the very organized havok squads. The weeks of battle have turned your militia force into a monster and fine tuned our Soldiers as well. Get those PvErs back into the fray and get them to be soldiers. One day SoR will have as many golds then we will have to compare Silvers…. which brings me to,

BG, I remember the first gold and how it was used to show dominance over SoR. “Where’s your Gold, nuff said” were constant remarks. Please show up in force for our last week Hurrah!…because if we win a Gold we will be tied and then we would have to go off of Silvers we all know who took second more….and will rarely get a chance to test it again with the randomization. (my poke to you BG, you guys fight harder when provoked:P)

Also to throw us in there too, so no crying from trolls. SoR let’s do what we have always done and just fight. Don’t let ego of 2 wins cloud our passion for good battles and forever developing our skills. We only won 2 weeks with a series of events effecting JQ, and morale effecting BG (just saying… I got bored not seeing you guys the first half of the week, TY for coming back Tuesday). A win on weaken foes is not a “true” win that we want, we’ll take it but it proves no challenge. I do not want to tick at +300-400 almost all day (JQ and BG please stop this tick next week lol). The challenge (my loot bags) disappear as the PvErs no longer log into WvW or the maps that don’t have a presence of their server . Be proud we made it to #1 but defending #1 is the true challenge, brag after 9 months if we can stay interested. Our true test has just started.

All in all i hope for epic fights, this is where the top 3 servers of NA fight for the last time guaranteed. All our powerhouse WvW Guilds contending for the best (Which is all of us, or we would not have made it to T1.). This is bragging rights week guys! So let’s get out there and fight all week long…don’t complain about coverage on the forums..log into the actual game (unless at work) because being on the forum your causing at least 1 person not to be on the battlefield. Pick up your big boy/girl pants, stop crying and FIGHT! Past does not matter. This week is for this week! (Mindset for the future match ups guys)

Go ahead , pick out all the things that are wrong, troll, whine and whatever. Those that actually WvW know that we want fights and do respect each other no matter the server. And if you read that whole page…go to sleep, go outside or play the actual game. Sheesh.

I very much love seeing the overinflated ego of some BG members whenever they get a gold… yet I have yet to see them defend a gold for 2 weeks in a row. That’s right it’s usually when the other 2 servers are ‘casually" playing and they pull their longer shifts. Hey BG wanna be a champ defend the Gold for a second week! Other than that backstabbing tactics are cheap but hey all is fair in love and war right? Pick a fight with an opponent, don’t wait until the other 2 servers are engaged to pick on the weaker one at any given moment.
To JQ and SoR great open field fights and strategy this week, BG can learn a thing or 2 from us. Those guilds on BG that are great (WM comes to mind) be careful, this is a great example of the BG attitude, talk trash when winning; then when stomped the following weeks, cry and server jump. No worries, everyone gets to make mistakes when choosing servers lol and we forgive you.

Now I don’t post at all. I just want to give a GG to all 3 servers for having an awesome week of battles. I haven’t had so many bags in awhile as well as probably handing quite a few out myself. This is just my opinion and is not a reflection of our SoR community. Sadly I had to put a disclaimer in there due to all posts being picked apart.

With that said, I always see these posts complaining about how many numbers they field. Yes, some nights a guild may have more people joining them than usual, so all the great guilds end up fielding 15+. Now are we counting the PUGs that see the Guild run by and jump on the bandwagon? Take this into account also guys, we can’t control the PUGs 100%, heck they don’t even read map chat sometimes. So with the numerous pics and videos, please count the actual Guild Tags that you are trying to point the finger at, then look at all the PUGs. Then again this is WvW and everyone is pushing for that win, so in the end does it matter? Also I’ll take a 30 man zerg over the 60+ zergs that used to be the mainstay of the top tier servers at launch.

Finally one last thing that stuck out was “It’s over, why does SoR push so hard when everyone quit?” We are that server that shows up early and plays late to increase our skill and coordination, rework our strategy for the “Big game” and have some fun. That is why we came from the bottom to compete with the champions. I feel this is just the mindset of our server, I have yet to hear a person quit because it was tough, we just adapt. (I do not speak for the PUGS on that last part lol)

With that said, look at the point evolution, SoR has jump an extra 1k in evolution points, while BG has dropped 2k…might want to stay on to the end more often, because that is where the ranking is actually at, not the gold, silver, bronze. SoR can’t win a medal if we fall out of Tier 1 right? With TC gaining 10k evolution points and 3rd place losing points, how long before we have a new 3rd place.

So to all the competitors Great Job for providing such a huge challenge this whole tier 1 battle! As a Rallian myself, I love feeling like the underdog. It makes every victory more cherished, that everyday I log in, I know the odds may be against us but we are there fighting holding our own against 2 of the best servers in game atm. If it was for RL, work and children…I would be on 72 hours straight at times fighting it out.

I do truly hope anyone from BG reads that evolution part and keeps an eye on that, I would love to make this the endless War that it seems to be for awhile. These 3 servers, though bicker, actually are quite understanding, have a weird respect for one another, and look to improve and win through skill not cheesy tactics from WvW past.
