Ya, if you’re a kitten.
Instead of granting immunity to CC for several seconds, why not change it to a stun break that grants immunity to the next CC skill for 30s (with the ability to stack upon use of other stability skills). As for wells, stack stability every tick.
The rifle is pretty much neglected by all warriors. The damage is inefficient, the knock back is buggy and almost useless because it’s a stand still ability, the bleed stacking auto attack and then brutal shot applying vuln makes no sense, either have the auto attack apply vuln or have brutal shot apply a bleed

Kline.9561, a lot of the tips/suggestions you make in your post are things that are big focuses for us. The good news is that some of that work is spread out over several different teams, so while it might take a while to develop, we have a lot of great features coming to help with barrier to entry, etc.
As for monetization, that’s a bit more difficult considering we already give a lot of the things that can be monetized away as we don’t want to have a huge barrier to entry in PvP. If you have suggestions for stuff like that, feel free to share!
okay here’s a list of things that you can monetize on for spvP.
1. Video Channels. this is a huge one, teaching players about skills classes and game modes through visual observation is a great way to teach players, all about SPVP. games like League of Legends and dota 2 have quick 5 second videos directly in there video game, straight from YouTube, these quick video showcase the abilities of every hero in their game.
so make a youtube channel completely dedicated 2 SPVP that new players can directly connect to from in game. that showcases the strength and weaknesses of each class. as well as helpful tips on how to play the game.
2. Formatting Hot Join. to prepare new players for competitive formats such as tournaments. meaning that it’s time to set hot join maps at 5 vs 5 games, so as to not confuse and frustrate new players coming into tournaments from hot joins. 16 player matches are wildly different from 10 player matches, and if the community wants 16 player matches that is what custome arena is for.
3. Setting Team Que at Higher Incentives and priorities than solo queue and hot joins. this will help form teams and a stronger community, making people coordinate together to achieve goals.
4. Templates. I personally believe that this is an option that should be sold in the cash shop. this could generate great revenue for both SPVP and PvE. attach templates to the PvP lockers to keep players from switching build mid game or before it starts.
5. Ziashen Keys. simply put make it happen.
6. Glory Boosters. when you change the reward system make glory actually worth something. there’s not enough glory dumps in the game to justify spending any of it. So make glory boosters something people want to buy on the cash shop. rather than passing them out so freely.
7. this of late is a pretty controversial topic. but try attaching a Guild verses Guild Mode into Custom Arenas to give the community more incentive to buy custom arenas.
8. Start Selling Tickets so that players can watch tournament games in game. and compendiums that support their favorite teams.
9. Another way of helping new players is to give Short Cut Scenes of how to play spvp gamemodes when they first enter SPVP. or have the living story team make a short Interactive event, that has a players entering spvp for the first time playing a match with npc’s.
10. make rewards give the player a Feeling of Satisfactory and Accomplishment. presenting a cool reward or item after a match with flashy presentation. is a good way to start. encouraging the player to achieve more rewards.
11. Streams, and replay. new players learning from top tier players, via watching streams and replays. this is an amazing tool to help every player improve their game. coming up with an in game system, that allows players to pull up old replays and save them to their computer. or watch live games. this doesn’t need to be a system tied into hot joints, it needs to be its own thing. there needs to be an NPC in the mist that pulls up all the information players need, to watch live games and replays.(give an option for players to save a replay after a match ends, so they can learn from their mistakes or the enemy team).
I will continue to add to this post when I think of new ideas or concepts
I greatly encourage the community to add to the list with there own ideas on how to make spvp a bigger priority for Anet as a company.also I understand the current state of the game and the resentment a lot of players feel towards it.
but please do not derail or entice Arguments and refrain from Hyperbole because it does not help the devs or healthy discussion.thank you.

Rifle/Hammer is what I use; great support from the hammer, and the rifle for runners, weapon swap bonus and another ability to use whilst waiting for hammer cooldowns

We honestly need to be able to see percentage or something on health bars by now and target of target oh go dplz
There should be different finisher animations for every different races &/or class. As well as new finishing flags for every class and flag, and perhaps more finishers based off of our achievements both in pve and pvp.

Extreme condition duration reductionThis issue was reported and responded to by a dev almost a month ago. It has still not been fixed.
Wow. That’s disgusting…
The tool tip says the duration of conditions is greatly reduce, yet when applying a condition the warrior will be immune during the duration of BS (no pun intended). Please fix.
1.-Any fear or immobilization skills should not be considered snares.
2. – For every conditions you stack that is different, the less effective the effect of the later condition.
Hammer adrenaline ability, Earthshaker, grants 3/4 seconds of stability. I also think that Earthshaker should have a change to it’s animation, changes that would make it less predictable.

I have been roughly 400 hours as sword/sword + rifle warrior, so here are my thoughts:
1. Rifle #1 is fine. It should bleed, not do vulnerability like someone suggested. With a bleed build (+100% bleed duration + condi damage) it actually does nice damage
It’s not a condition weapon, and everyone doesn’t want to make a condition build out of a burst weapon.
I’m more or less of the same school of thought as Burr.
3. Volley is fine.
I think it’s fine on single target, but I still think it would work a lot better for tourneys and spvp if it always penetrated targets.
so for #5 I think u want a “launch” effect
and also, for killshot 1s is too short considering how powerful the skill is, personally my highest killshot so far on PvP is, 22.9k, now imagine that on a 7s cd and 1s cast time(not to mention u could combo with #2 + frenzy for a secure killshot)
Most players in tourney run a decent enough build where it only crits for 4k :/
Leap back for a knock back? I don’t see that working :/
Engineer has something similar on their rifle. It actually knocks the engineer back but launches the foe.

Rifle does need a little help, but none of these suggestions are what it needs IMO. Especially #5… if anything you’d want it to be a leap backward.
Well, getting rid of the cast time on #4 would be nice, but I dont think it needs the boon strip (there’s a sigil for that). I think just the Crack Shot trait needs something more interesting.
Leap back for a knock back? I don’t see that working :/, but maybe the Crack Shot trait becoming passive, as far as the piercing goes, that would help us out with support damage when it comes to large groups. Even if volley were that way, you’d use and then just strafe and get a good hit on the enemies in the capture point.

1. Increase Bleeding Shot’s attack speed by 30-50%
2. Aimed Shot immobilizes enemies for 1 second and applies 5 seconds of 50% movement impairment.
3. Volley always penetrates through enemies with or without the trait.
4. Brutal Shot no longer has a cast time (instant) and removes 1 boon from your enemy target.
5. Rifle Butt will have you lunge (increasing the rang to 350) towards the enemy and then butt them for a 1 second knock back.
6. Cast time of Kill Shot reduced to 1 second instead of 1 3/4 time.

6. Cast time of Kill Shot reduced to 1 second instead of 1 3/4 time.

I’ve noticed a pattern lately…
Everyone uses the same Traits.
Everyone uses the same Runes.
Everyone uses the same Sigils.
Everyone uses the same Skills.
Can we please have a SIGIL/Rune and Skill Revamp/trait please?
I’m really tired of everyone being the same.
One Example:
Why are pistols not fixed after the year, it should have the SAME speed as ranger’s short bow.*Why are things like physical skills, venoms, thief traps so bad?"
“Why are underused traits not revamped? You have data, take what people don’t use and give it some frosting!”
Most people are casual, awful players who can’t think for themselves. So they run with what works, no matter how cowardly it is.
Who else is a little upset with this change? First off, not too many people used it so there isn’t much to complain about. Second, now we have to deal with back-to-back stability on you awful warriors (all of you warriors who obsessively rely upon it). This pretty much makes my rifle a useless hunk of junk now, Thanks Anet!

Figured it out. Anytime you crit with a mace it stacks weakness.
I think this would be a great reward for the players that do exceedingly well in paid tournaments or some other future game type
We really need this for those using hacks and whatnot.

Okay, choose the trait on defense Sundering Mace, afterwards equip a mace in offhand and have at it. It will add weakness condition every so often, not sure what procs it exactly….

Oh wow, I was hoping it was vulnerability ;-; oh well
Not much survival with this build, I wouldn’t use it unless you’re hoping to just provide support damage.
After attaching the sigil to my weapon there is no change in stats and it’s a bit difficult to tell from a target dummy if the crit chance actually increased by 5%.
After using this ability it does no damage although in the description it says 294 damage, although on the combat chat it says otherwise. I experimented with it a few times with a friend and his health bar did not move at all for him.
There is a warrior trait that adds 5% more damage to weakened foes, what exactly is weakened?
Honestly, 100% increased attack speed is utterly ridiculous and nowhere near balanced! It’s moreso a handicap than a tactical advantage. Either remove it or drop the increased attack speed to a 50% or 25% bonus, please!
Move it from the 2 slot to the adrenaline bar
