I have to agree that it should be removed AS PRECURSOR ARMOR.

However! I actually don’t dislike it entirely! I’d like to have the chestpieces remain in some capacity. My Mesmer would totally rock that light chest…but not as a symbol of progress in a legendary journey.

Don’t backpedal entirely, just put them in as something else.

Has chains, chains don’t flail. All three weights seem to have DIFFERENT chain issues, somehow.

No, what I’m talking about is right clicking and selecting “use” from one’s inventory while the bank window is open. As in, using an item in the inventory from the window that displays both the inventory and bank.

And not double-clicking, either. Again, right-clicking, and selecting the “use” option.

Apparently when you right-click and ‘use’ salvage from your bank window, it considers the item to only have a single charge.

I just lost a 202-use-remaining Mystic Salvage Kit to get 2 linen scraps. I lost a kit once before, but I thought maybe I just didn’t realize how low it was on uses.

I’ve confirmed this with a crude salvage kit as well. I’m not sure if it applies to any consumable item that has stacks.

I’ve got a strange feeling this might have to do with the way MF seems to scale down to lower levels.

It really doesn’t seem like the Magic Find stat should be scaled to level at all.

I’m not sure if this fits better in general bugs, or crafting, but here goes.

I purchased the three 20 Slot Fractal Equipment Boxes (Exotic, Rare, and Uncommon), and saw that they all sorted the items correctly according to their rarity.

However, after crafting a standard 20 Slot Equipment Box using Armorsmithing, EVERY equipment drop now goes into that box, rather than just Fine and Common rarity equipment.

This result came about when the crafted box was ABOVE the Fractal boxes (In order, the Starter Backpack, then the Crafted 20 Slot Equipment Box, then the Uncommon, Rare, and Exotic Fractal boxes, descending in this order along the left pane of the inventory window). If the Fractal boxes were placed above the Crafted box, they sorted as one would expect, with the higher rarities falling into their correct boxes, and blues and whites going to the crafted equipment box.

Still, for all the effort and Gold put into getting them, I’d sort of like the items to sort no matter what order the boxes are set to in my inventory, especially since having the crafted box next to my starter backpack allows me to quickly salvage the junk items.

We do not free up the names because the loss of the character names is one of the by-products of getting one’s account terminated. If we were to free up the names, someone could just start a new account and use the old names.

But…why is that even so bad? If they lost their account, and pay the kitten tax of a new copy of the game, shouldn’t they, along with everyone else in the game, have a shot at those names again? If someone else gets to the name(s) first, too bad. Fair game.

It’s not like the names give them back their inventory and time or something.

An account I know of was permanently banned recently, and its owner allowed me to have the old character names if I wanted (since they obviously weren’t going to be used), but I get a notification saying they’re still in use.

I’ve heard that banned accounts are in permanent suspension, but do the names ever get cleared up? The owner said the support ticket for the ban said the action was permanent, and the ban would not be lifted. If that’s the case, what’s the point in holding on to the data and tying up the names?

I am also having this problem, across two accounts and a full game reinstall.

The text appeared correctly for the first weekend of headstart, and then two weeks following, but the strange A character has been present ever since.

I’ve found this happens any time the full inventory notification shows up when opening a package. It seems to be a different alert than the loot window that shows up when you have autoloot on.

What I can’t verify is whether or not simply clicking on ANY window other than the notification window causes the items to be discarded, or if it’s the act of using the Gear menu in the inventory that discards them, but I’ve lost items from BL chests this way, as well.

I suggest that you submit a ticket and explain the situation. Provide the guild name, name of the player whose account was terminated (the leader), and suggest the next-senior officer or officers as the new leader(s).

Sorry, Gaile; I’ve already tried all of these for one of my guilds, plus other alternatives. Support flat-out said they do not offer any such services.

This is one of those things that needs to be looked into.
