They need to make actual content that is rewarded during gameplay and not in the gemstore. I have a bad feeling this is how EQN is going to be as well which is a shame.

Well I no longer can join the great TC community in DR. I keep getting put into the counterstrike chat rooms of this megaserver. Please put the towns/cities back to server only, this is terrible!

I agree. The backpack kills any reason for an engineer to spend months on getting a legendary since you will never see it. Not to mention if you buy a neat backpack off the Black Lion market you will never see it since you have that gawd aweful looking sack on your back. Please allow us to toggle it off and just give us a symbol when clicked on to show which kit we are in for WvW and Tpvp.

Omg I thought I was the only person with this issue! With necro’s having so many ground targeting skills it gets frustrating. Yes, I need my curser twice as big and glowing neon red or green no matter how stupid it would look… i need to see it!

My favorite part of this is when I do finally find my curser lolz, and its over my map and im trying to either cast or turn and nothing happens but a spinning minimap and me loosing my mind in the heat of the battle!

Everywhere you turn a 40+ man SoR zerg to stomp the 5-10 TC/SBI groups lol. Yeah this is a whole lotta no fun. Cya next week.

Great elite if I can get it to work right. When im out of combat and hit plague elite it works fine, I turn into a green cloud with 3 skills available and stability.

Now when im already in combat and hit plague nothing happens and goes right to cooldown. All I get is the white circle around me that lasts for 20 seconds. No option to blind/bleed/cripple and no stability.

Something I’m doing wrong or is this just another necro bug?

An out of combat weapon swop is all I would ask for since it would be extremely OP if we could. I just hate fumbling through my inventory to find my focus or staff after I have looted about 6 of each. Nothing worse than equipping that blue staff instead of your exotic in the heat of a battle (after you run away to drop combat lol).

I honestly don’t see why people can’t just create a new unofficial US RP server. It’s not like ANet mandated from on high that TC was going to be the US RP server, after all. All you need is a RP-friendly guild or two, and some publicity. I believe there’s a website (“www.guildwars2roleplay.com” or something like that) which is kind of the hub for roleplayers. Maybe go there and see if there’s any RP guilds operating on other servers, and try to consolidate them onto a single server. Mind you, if the guild is already a long-established one, they probably won’t want to move as it would mean losing out on all of the upgrades they’ve already researched on that server.

Ive tried all the top wvw servers and a few of the not so popular servers. T1 servers community wasnt for me, felt like I was in a counterstrike chat room. The low population servers… well nobody to talk too. I waited a few weeks to get on TC and loving it.

Just what we need. Our RP servers split even further to not have anyone to RP with. Keep trying to get on TC. A few days ago our server was ‘very heavy’ at around 5pm eastern time. Its not always full… keep trying.

Just wondering what the larger than normal patch was about.

I now you dont want to hear this, but keep trying. Monday/Tuesday at around 6am pacific I’ve seen Tarnished Coast at heavy. TC really does have a great community, not too shabby at T3 wvw, and usually dungeon groups other than FoTM.

You can now do everything in LA at any level without ever having to leave. I love exploring (still working on my gold star), but something tells me that most people will just spam LFG FOTW in the ‘LA lobby’ waiting to level there new toons. Ops I forgot, they will be crafting/leveling while waiting for a FOTW group. Sad really.

I will agree. The outdoors are pretty empty right now and most everything is contested and will stay contested. LA has turned into the FoTM LFG channel… quite sad really.

We are now locked into never having to leave LA for anything. Goodbye giant world of adventure, hello dungeon waiting room LA.

I’m on my server since launch and right now hardly anyone wvw’s. Everyone is in that stupid Flavor of The Month joint endlessly grinding for the new top gear. In another few months wvw will be empty again for the next best gear grind to keep up.

This is just my opinion.

For 1-79 leveling my warrior was much easier than the elementalist. At 80 the elementalist just pulls way ahead of the warrior due to superior utility skills and basicly the option to bunker build. Once you figure out how the skills work, the ele can just rip through content, be a wonderful asset to any group, and a very respectable soloer.

This is my theme as of late, since we havnt been doing so well in WvW. Seeing red!

The RPG is very much alive on Tarnished Coast. I bounced around between quite a few of the ‘popular’ servers and the community is pretty bad… just my opinion. TC, other than being the unofficial RP, also seems to be home to alot of casuals. So theres not much people gear checking but we still get all the dungeons completed and have a good time (which I’ve noticed alot of other servers do not have a good time and rather it be a job).

If your looking for a server of lewt d00ds and XxK1LLeRmAgExX, then theres lots of options to join if your not into immersion. Some of the other servers felt like I was in a call of duty chat room heh.

Sure you can have a 1200 range rifle, ill take some guardian protection on my warrior and call it even. Why would anyone play any other class if Anet gave guards any type of useful ranged weapon. Would be OP as hell.

I’m one of those who works alot and has alot of disposable income and little time to play. So I do probably spend abit more than the regular customer on Gems for things.

The way I see it is this. I pay abit more to Anet for some gold and that money is put towards Anet employees who make this game better and hopefully will provide us with lots of fun expansions and improvements. Not to mention, it keeps people with real jobs employed and less bots ruining my gaming experience.

I only play two charicters, elementalist and a warrior. I did CM story mode for the first time tonite on both my 80 warrior with rares/one exotic and my 66 elementalist in blues with the same type of mixed level classes. I wont even get into how horribly hard CM is… thats for another day.

I died so much on my warrior I wanted to quit. Basicly once the mobs are on me, thats it. They are on me till im either out of stamina to dodge or 3 shot me. (seemed to be an avg of 6 mobs per spawn so always one there to give you a finishing blow). Warriors lack any type of damage reduction, but they are so fun to play.

The elementalist on the other hand died a few times, but has soooo much get out of jail free utility buffs its crazy. And god bless Anet for buffing ring of fire to cripple… simply the best best best combo field in the game now. The dungeon run just went so much smoother playing my “squishy” mage.

At this rate, better off trading gems for gold, or using ‘the other method’, not gamble and get exactly what you want. But eventually we will run out of skins and the price will just keep going up and up.

The thing is, these will probably be worth more then legendy weapons since you can always/eventually get your legendry, these will be perma gone in 2 weeks.

I did 15 chests, bought 5 keys rest I had in the bank, and got the staff. Then I read this post and sold a few things to just outright buy the shield. I’m sure its coded in that I wont get lucky a second time.

Ok so they seem to be super rare. After you apply the skin to a weapon… is it soulbound or still account bound?

Sure. As an elementalist, if I fail a dodge or too many things are on cd, my skimpy armor is exactly what it is.

I dont feel bad. I have a great career now that eats up alot of my time where 10 years ago I could spend all day every day playing. So with the less time I have, but with alot of disposeable income, I tend to buy a few more gems than the next person. Besides, gem purchases keeps new content rolling in. Hopefully.

Tarnished Coast. There must be 30 bots here right now in Queensdale, Altar Brook Vale area near the champion cave troll and other events that spawn at a decent rate. You litterally cant kill anything without an army of nakid ranger/bear bots here right now.

So I ran out of slots and wanted to delete a charicter to make a new one. After I type the name of the charicter to delete, hit delete, nothing happens. Log in/out nothing.

Maybe its your server? Not having that kind of issue in the high level area’s on Tarnished Coast.

I think the engineer. Survivability through cc’s and healing, ranged damage, aoe damage, fulltime sprint, good underwater abilities, and lots of kits to keep things interesting.

However they are stuck with the worst looking armor in the game… medium is such crap looking. Trenchcoat anyone?

I agree! The xp is just a bonus. What we mesmers are missing out on are the loot drops. The only way to get cloth/hide is via them stupid bags that we dont stand a chance on getting with the nuclear aoe bombs going off that every other class has access too. Sure spawn 3 clones and send them in the mind wrack… wave is 90% dead by the time you get them near the targets.

Whats really messed up is… Warrior. They where the heaviest of armors, have the highest health, and king of dps with there million blade attack. It really is a faceroll class.

I have the same issue where i cannot purchase gems. I had no issue last week, and yesterday sept 11 was hit or miss. I got one approved and around 10 declines.
