I don’t mind doing Trek at all. In fact, I’d love to, it sounds fun and I’ve never done it before. I just don’t see why forcing an unlock order upon guilds makes sense. We should just be allowed to build towards whichever we think is the easiest to complete and the most wanted by our guild members. If nobody in my guild wants to do Trek, I’m not going to do it alone just to gather the influence to eventually unlock Rush, which we already had ready until I found out I needed to spend another 100k influence to build economy and Trek first. At least it should be made more clear that there is a specific order. I never came across these restrictions because I naturally built towards Bounty first.

Thank you, I understand that it used to make sense way back. Now I feel like it just disadvantages small and/or new guilds. Anyone else feel this way?

I’m the leader of a small guild (20 people). It’s been quite difficult to gather the influence to build towards guild bounty, which is the easiest to do with a small number of people. Next, we chose to go for rush, because that’s also doable with a small guild. However, I just found out that there’s a certain order in which you need to unlock it, meaning that I now have to build towards economy level 6 and then guild trek before I can build rush. Nobody ever does trek to my knowledge, as it gives no individual rewards. I’m very frustrated that I need to waste so much ‘precious’ influence in a small guild, to get to the missions that we can actually complete. Why is this order in place, and even more important: why is a guild forced to unlock trek??

In EU or NA? I know that in EU, GW2community still runs them once or twice a week. It’s open to everyone, it’s not tied to a specific guild. They post the dates here usually: http://gw2community.com/topic/1393-dry-top-tier-6-run/

Yup, that’s right! In NA, there are more members who treat it like their main guild and represent all the time than in EU, but as a community it’s a lot of fun in general. Both sides organize special ladies nights etc. I can get you into the EU one, but it’s probably best to check out the FB group first in case you are interested Even if you want to join another guild as your main one, you’re still welcome to join either of the ladies guilds to find others to play with.

Sounds like my guild could be something you would enjoy! The Council of Quaggans [Cooo] is focused on dungeons and other PvE aspects. So far not too many fractals, but we’re getting there. We have people with varying experience levels for both dungeons and fractals, but our ‘core dungeon group’ is very experienced and aims to do them quickly but also in a fun and relaxed way. Like you said, not breaking any records but not have them be boring and tedious either. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and are a fun bunch, very social small community. With a small guild, you’ll immediately experience less ‘spam’. We consist of mostly more experienced players, so there isn’t a lot of ‘newbie’ questions either. On the one hand, I’m not optimistic because a new dungeon would have been as huge as a new WvW/PvP map for a lot of players.
On the other hand, they clearly don’t care about PvE other than the story that much, so maybe in their eyes it is just not a major feature. Or it is self evident that with a new set of maps comes a new dungeon. Or they weren’t ready to announce it yet. Or they’re saving the best as a surprise. How nice would that be?
New dragon fight could be new Arah-style dungeon (I sincerely hope so but won’t get my hopes up too much) but it could also be another world boss… Only more details can tell!

Just a small update to the main post, we now do guild bounty almost every week and are building towards guild rush

Might as well be another world boss, that’s also ‘challenging group content’. In any shot in the video, there were no more than 3 players for any ‘fight’, so there is no way to judge if they’ll be big or small fights yet. We’ll see! Hoping that the fight with Mordremoth is a challenging dungeon like Arah

Hey! With the new megaserver system, all EU maps can play together no matter on which server you are based. It is only for WvW that your server really matters, but since you’re not too interested in that you can pick whichever you like. I’d say Desolation, because it is a very active PvE server, but I’m probably biased cause I’m on it

People who enjoy dungeons a lot might very well be a completely different group from those who enjoy organizing Teq and Worm – organizing a huge number of people to do the right thing. What I expect from dungeons/raids is a small group of people (below 20) to do hard boss content. I don’t really care about the open world stuff, it’s nice, but it has nothing to do with dungeons.

I bet that if they added something as simple as a timer button to dungeons, and possibly higher rewards when completed below a certain time, a great many hardcore dungeon players would be extremely happy for quite a while. Just the fact that the word ‘dungeon’ wasn’t even mentioned once, when it’s such an important (if not the most important) part of PvE. Shows once again that they don’t really care about that part of the game.

I guess 20ish members is a lot smaller than what you are looking for, but expanding happens only gradually so I thought I’d reply anyway just in case The Council of Quaggans is a Desolation based guild mainly focused on running dungeons together. We have varying levels of experience, but everyone with an open mind is welcome. We generally just have a lot of fun in playing the game, and aim for a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone knows each other. We don’t really do any WvW because we’re all on different EU servers, so that could be a downside if you’re looking for that. Anyway, feel free to check us out and hope you find a good home!

Yes, I totally agree. I’d say it needs to be either split up in WvW/Guilds/PvP separately or at least Looking For/Offering separated. This is just one big mess and it’s impossible to use it.
