I only experienced this during the second encounter, so can’t say if it’s the same for the rest.

if you leave the instance, your reset point/checkpoint before you beat the second encounter(After beating Cairn) becomes the platform of the first encounter.

While everyone who hasn’t left the instance keeps the initial checkpoint(i think its in the prison, right before chess/boss room).

Can’t progress pass the first skritt you hit.

Also doesn’t work on any skritt throughout Tyria, only on the ones during the Gift Dolyak escort event.

Tested on Skritt in LA
Friendly skritt in skrittsburgh (Brisban Wildlands)
Enemy Skritt in Ruins of the Unseen(Caledon)

My guess is, that the respawn time is either very long or very random.

That’s what I thought too , but I remember last year he was spawning as frequent as the other bosses in lab. I was in that instance for over an hour, and no spawns.

circled the labyrinth at his possible spawn points for 30 minutes, Viscount and Lich have spawned twice in this time period.

I cant really provide more info, I was adventuring the outskirts of LA, went in the water, to fort marriners, to farshore, couldnt use any weapon skills or shadowstep. Then after a minute going through Cavern Waypoint north of farshore to where the merchants are in Postern Ward, my underwater weapons were showing. But since i wasnt underwater, my weapon skills were all disabled, like when wielding a bundle.

I just reloaded LA (Character select and back) and everything appears to be fixed (Skills are usable again).

@Caedmon , try to use your brain on this one. If fighting on a point, you can delay enemy point capture by using downed skills(preventing yourself from being stomped).

Although stealthing/mistform doesnt prevent it 100%, it forces your enemy to sit there and have to autoattack you or perform the stomp again. but this example only applies to points that you own/are uncapped.

As what someone else in this thread said, doing extra damage is always a bonus, even if it’s minimum.

Ascended crafting/acquiring reward tracks?

Would this be something people are interested in? I’d definitely like to see this.

Wouldn’t really know how to balance this, but maybe having the final reward be similar to the dungeon reward tracks, where we can obtain an ascended weapon or armor chest, or a crafting component to make one(such as Zojja’s berserker inscription, (so we don’t bypass the 500 Crafting discipline requirement).

I can’t remember where, but I remember a dev stating that Switching in pregame/during the game is an auto forfeit. could have been in the patch notes a while back or that PvP news blogpost. I guess since it counted that the system isnt in place.

Also if one player disconnects for a minute(?), that the game is also a forfeit, but the match result doesn’t change your leaderboard score (No -/+).

your posts come off as pretty spammy. We get it, you think thieves are overpowered; that its a skillless class with a very little learning curve. Go cry for attention somewhere else ;D.

protip: keep doing unranked, low MMR queues, higher levels are definitely more punishing for thieves.

Shadow Trap

A shame that this skill’s Shadowstep feature remains the same. When it got that buff a few patches ago I tested it in a couple builds, (10 Might + Invis on TP is pretty useful). However, the way it shadowsteps you and the way it deals with any obstacle in the “path” causing your port to fail, makes this skill unusable.

I believe I saw a thread on this already, and devs are probably aware.

Like you, opening the scoreboard freezes my screen for a few seconds, doesn’t matter when I open it (not just mid-game).

So I guess I need to run Thief after all.

Solo queue vs premades

There’s a simple way to solve this problem, force premades to fight other premades. 5 man q? how about you just increase the wait time to find a match until a suitable opposing team is found. Who cares if they have to wait 20 mins for their queue to pop, beats the alternative.

Same, AMD Graphics card, averaged between 30-40 FPS. now 10-15. Ping is the same.

It is completely clear how boon ripping priority is done. There are lists out there for what boons each skill prioritizes.

I’ve noticed for some time now that Boon ripping is more of a priority thing.

i.e on opponents who pop Stab, you will most likely steal stab over all other boons. Same with aegis.

I’ve only really tested this with the boonrips that thieves have (bountiful theft, infiltrators strike).

Always annoying to fight against an opponent with might stacks, fury and swiftness, and only only steal fury and swiftness. (this happens every single time, Might isn’t a priority for boon rips)

I had a build like this in PVP, the drawback was it was pretty lacking in team fights, but it punished a lot of the current meta builds (d/p, s/d thieves; condie/ride the wind rangers; dps medi guards; rifle engi’s).

Here it is, there are flaws in the build, and it does have a skill curve to it.

one of the drawbacks was that the secondary set (i have it p/p), is pretty useless and could be swapped for something like SB. This was also like the second version of this build so its still in theory-crafting stages. Its pretty much just a condi/burs build..

Main combo is , CnD > Venoms > Sneak Attack > Shadow Strike > Steal > Shadow Strike > Infil Sig > Shadow Strike repeat.

Insane burst, kills 90% of the classes out there and everything happens within 1-2 seconds.

Also, I’ve been meaning to test Shadow trap with its new buff in this build, as the 10 Might + invis on trigger is absolutely insane, however the kittenty shadowstep mechanic isnt. Wish it worked like mesmer portal.

I’m sure you guys know this event is ridden with bugs (amongst other events), largely due to NPC Mechanics. I was wondering, since megaservers were introduced, is it possible for some form of GM to force players on a (Bugged) map to switch to a new server.

Maybe if it is true, it would be great if the GM/Forum team can create a thread where we can submit a bugged server(by IP) in that thread and the team can force close the map.

atm IP 64.25.33.61 is bugged, has been for the past 24 hours, I believe both human and charr NPC’s are stalled.

Could have saved yourself the trouble of a long post by testing the combinations yourself. They are all greyed = Not a recipe.

edit* I know I posted the fruit instead of flower in my image, but as you can see from my inventory, I also have the flower (And it is also greyed out in all combinations of Eldritch scroll + wine.

No field in the new currency exchange page to enter a custom amount of Gold>Gem/Gem>gold. I would be surprised if this isn’t a bug or a slip up on ANets end. there’s no field to enter a custom amount. Would love that feature back.

Don’t know if its specific to this zone, but seems that me and others are experiencing this issue. Earlier today it happened when guildies and I were doing the bounty here, our gw2 would freeze for maybe a second or two then work as normal.

Now, while I’m doing map completion it is happening again, and others in map chat are reporting the same issue.

tl;dr In Brisban game seems to freeze for 1-4 seconds every now and then, and is being reproduced(others are freezing as well).

I had the same problem as well. Came back the next day after the chest reset(same time dailies reset) and it fixed itself.

p.s queensdale champ farm is god awful for you if you’re trying to obtain Karma. At the moment the two best resources for Karma are fractals & WvW.

So you essentially agree that its a broken skill(since it doesn’t work as intended, intended in the way that its description states it should work(3s Stealth per pulse)).

Your issue is that it should remain broken. The problem has nothing to do with me managing evades and blah blah blah. The skill simply needs to be fixed and give you 3s Stealth per pulse.

Besides, I don’t really care how you feel about this skill, why are you arguing here? I’m just reporting a game bug. since it clearly isn’t working as intended.

It’s not working as intended. Being knocked out should just prevent me from gaining more stacks of stealth, so instead of remaining in and getting 10s for the full 4 second duration of Shadow Refuge, if I get knocked out, I/others should still have 3s of stealth(at least).

If I place a refuge, and don’t enter it initially, go in and then get knocked out right as it disappears, I still remained stealth(for 3s). This is how it should work, for the entirety of this, not just when it disappears.

Leaving the field prematurely (before it disappears), removes the three second stealth (That is stated in the tooltip) and grants you Revealed debuff.

This surely can’t be working as intended.

and yes, I am aware that it’s been the case since launch. Just wondering if ANet is aware, and if they have any plans on working on it.

SoS just got a server best of 60%. Sadly people don’t realize that their zerker gear is completely useless for teq, and fail to change(Clearly if they are defending turrets, then it isn’t entirely useless).
