I can’t queue for any pvp mode anymore, I got the “Unranked Arena” Screen stuck in my pvp panel without actually being in a queue – even after reconnecting/restarting pc/restarting router/repairing client
It will just be there like in the screenshot when I open the PvP menu for the first time after coming from character selection screen …
nothing makes it revert, even going into wvw etc. which should drop any active queues anyways…

same here, fix this ASAP plz

according to your flawless logic the april 2014 trait unlock system is a bug aswell

toon specific guild repping is an absurd design , but it doest matter , guild chat is broken beyond recognition.

SAB aint coming back. Necromancer minions still useless. Low tier WvW is basically PvE since all you ever fight is a bunch of npcs.

I was part of one single guild : [DVDF]

Guild representation being toon specific is already a bad design, now the multiple guild system is completely useless for me.

and when i say “fix this” i mean : undo whatever you’ve done that broke a working system in the first place because this issue is recent.

and when i say “PLEASE” i mean : not like when you ruined the trait unlock system and ignored 100+ page of forum feedback over the period of a WHOLE YEAR.

Step 3: Click on Invisible
Step 4: Click on the gray square

-the traits unlock system :

3 trainer tomes ; 1 for adept 1 for master 1 for grandmaster traits
…into the universally hated :
370 skillpoints + 43g or having “fun” grinding traits by doing awesome in game pve content like Lornar pass 100% map exploration or killing that WvW Grub…
…for each and single one of your alts ad infinitum

-sPvP ranks :
I was r60+ pre April 2014 with over 4000 soloqueue ranked games , one day i logged on and out of nowhere i have a dragon finisher… talk about anti climactic
Not to mention the fact that all my pvp armor skins have vanished , including T3 Charr bought with 60g and a metric bucketload of glory.

6x pieces of T3 cultural armor that DID NOT count towards “The Emperor” title achievement completion.

-Town Clothes, they used to be part of the game for roleplayers and dye collectors
now its a worthless tonic and probably the most useless Item in game.

so yeah, dear Anet you obviously dont give a flying bat’s rear about your new and improved trait system since u just locked 90+ page and havent give us any info about the next “improvement”. when all we want if a roll back to the pre april system because : there was nothing wrong with it in the first place.

Neither do you care about PVP players since after almost 3 years :
- all we got is 2 unranked map rotation arenas

Skyhammer : the rank farm where ppl jump into the void like lemmings until they have their dragon finisher

Courtyard : no need to say more

- dungeon track rewards that attract people who cant even run pve dungeons where you corner stack every single mob and zerk them to oblivion, exploit poor game design to auto attack to death bosses , into pvp so they can “farm” their dungeoneer title…

and your improved matchmaking system.

… So i’m not even going to bother hoping for anything to happen for traits or sPvP.

and thats why the actual trait system sucks kitten , this guardian who’s new to the game cant even experiment before grinding his kitten traits or cashing out 45g and 370 skill points.

Its been a year since they broke the trait system and i feel crap for anyone that’s new to the game leveling without the ability to try out the core of their profession.

Guardian is a strong support class if not THE strongest, you have the most reflection uptime and alot of outgoing passive healing and boons to help the team

If you want to go in that direction your traits should look like 0 – 0 – 2 – 6 – 6

Strength in numbers/Purity
Superior Aria / Writ of the merciful or protective revive / Battle presence
Vengeful or Master of consecrations / that trait that enhances virtue of resolve / Indomitable Courage

staff / mace shield / hammer are very viable weapon sets for support purposes

its a support powerhouse

many other viable builds on guardian but you cant go wrong with this one.

I know this sounds like a no-brainer, but:
Don’t you think a well developed, clear and concise tutorial would have at least curbed some of the issues you have with new players “understanding” the game, instead of changing the core game pacing?

Actually not. Generally speaking tutorials are hard to implement, boring for experienced players and overwhelming for new players. The best tutorial is a system that slowly puts the content out to players because it gives experienced players something to achieve while reducing complexity and option shock for new players.

I’ve finally gotten around to playing a new character to the level at which i can start unlocking traits and find myself wondering why so many of the events and things I need to do are way above my level? It really makes no sense. I’m an older player who knows the game pretty well, but I can imagine that for a newbie this has got to be frustrating. That and the whole execution has a very hurried/generic feel to it with how one event unlocks a trait for every profession.

When I first heard about this change I loved the idea. I pictured it to be events I would complete that were level appropriate and sometimes even profession or trait appropriate. Not anything new. Just use existing events and npcs in the game that would teach us profession specific traits as we help them. Instead it feels like that when they chose events to tie to trait unlocks they just spun a wheel and picked whatever random event popped up. Honestly its not what I expected from Anet with all the things I’ve loved that they have added and continue to add as we go forward.

All my issues don’t even include how slow leveling now feels when i gain multiple levels and don’t gain a trait. And by the way I have no idea when I will gain a trait unless I wiki it. I might even be fine with that if the system wasn’t so bad in the other areas.

I just felt i needed to post this. I love this game overall and this system is embarrassing by the standards Anet have created for themselves. I hope they revamp it soon.

I cant recommend anyone to play GW2 in its current state, it’s simply put a poor game all thanks to the new and improved trait system.

New players I knew ( with less than 1000 achievement points) all quit because they cant afford 40+ gold and specially not 350+ skill points in order to start experimenting with builds (i.e. the fun part)

I’m THIS close to uninstalling the game I once really liked to play…

Casual players put money into the game to get what they want. They are the ones that buy the gems with cash, so unlocking stuff via gold is not that much of an issue for them.

If they already have an 80, they can just run a few dungeons, look up a build that works for their other class, use the gold to unlock the build.

This concept isn’t stupid. It’s reminiscent of how GW1 works. You would go out to an area and capture elite skills after buying a capture signet. Be thankful they made it so you only had to go to the area or do the event. It could be worse. You could’ve required a capture signet to capture the traits. Not only that, but they could of added the traits to the mobs required to kill.

I did the guild events, got no rewards for participating them and now its my fault for not getting the memo that says :

“hey, welcome to this megaserver crap, you’re with your guild on the same map and server but you still need to guest on their homeserver in order for you to get your rewards… yeah, like before there was no megaserver oh and if you dont, well you wasted your time.”

I stopped playing a couple weeks and all my pvp toons look like lvl 2 characters, most of my runes are WORTHLESS, so im like “lets grind for some gear i guess” to keep up with the evolution of the game…

…aaaaaaand I get no commendations because i was on the wrong server.

Im a fairly regular player since i manage to check in 1000+ hours since the end of february…

each time i had my router reset i’d get that email with the link to confirm connection from a different IP

I wouldnt say my password was weak… It had capitals , numbers , symbols… I never got hacked before this for any other game…

I’m a 30yr old man child with pixel addiction that goes waaAAaaay back so i know better than to click on suspicious emails…

…I guess my password wasnt strong enough :/

Hi,

I’m glad you got access back. To get an account restoration you first need to realise that this service is only given to you one time.

This means I would advise you to review your online security. Hackers know this and if you don’t get yourself safe again, they wait and stay low till you got a restoration and rob you for the second time. So do a full security sweep of your computer is step one.

After that please update your original support ticket with a request for account restoration. Support will help you further with getting things secure and after that help you with restoring your account.

Im so paranoid now :/

I use the free versions of AVG (anti virus) and AdvancedSystemCare (malware + addware) … I’ve never got hacked before on any other games and lets just say that Im a pixel pleasure addict…

After weeping for a good 15 mins and going through the 5 stages of the Kübler-Ross model…

…the weird part is that i can access the achievement panel through the daily UI on the top right of the screen by double clicking on it.

it still crashes my game when i try to do it via the hero panel though… please help me ?

since the update every single time i press the “achievement” button in the hero panel the game completely shuts down and sends me to the report a crash interface…

You can only earn 10 laurels from either the PvP monthly or the PvE monthly, not 10 from both. You already received the 10 laurels from completing your PvP monthly, so you won’t get any for your PvE monthly. This is working as intended.
