Oh i see many guild having the same problem, I was wondering why upgrade didn’t level up our DSL guild level. Well, it started with the wintersday upgrade. So it may has to to with it. Beside, i noticed the scribe station upgrade at times goes back to rumbles despite all the NPC’s are on upgraded location. it’s very bothersome bug. If one leave the guild hall and rejoin, then it goes back to upgraded scribe station. I think this is another bug Anet need to fix.

what happened to all the guild buffs we used to prep?
did we lose it with HOT?
DSL is very active 500 member guild located in US, Crystal Desert Server.
We are preparing for the release of the “raid”

For now I stopped dailies anymore. I just don’t see the fun of doing it. How boring! it doesn’t require any group activities. It doesn’t help with anything much.
It was a good effort on anet’s part to use dailies to motivate players to go to wvw, pvp and fractals. Also having players go to a random map for farming was a good idea too. Why don’t we introduce the concept of “field trip” to dailies as well as guild missions. The field trip in my guild is that we all go to a random map as a party or multiple parties, take all the way points of the map, or all the point of interests, or all the vista points, hero points like that. Usually we don’t do yellow hearts because it’s time consuming. That usually help players to complete the world map. Also consider including jumping puzzles in the dailies because it also help players to achieve jumping master.
I know anet is trying hard to motivate players to go to wvw, pvp and fractals. I think statistically about 5% players do wvw, maybe 1 or 2 % pvp, and about 10% fractals and dungeons i think. Can we say anet is neglecting pve contents? well, HOT is coming out. so they have been working kitten new things. So we can’t really blame developers. For time time being, having random dungeon runs in the daily and guild missions might revive the pve side activities where over 90% of players enjoy!

Yet I have another suggestion, actually two. Now that we have wvw and pvp all in the dailies. Why don’t we have random dungeons in the daily roster as well?
we already had dungeon runs as a daily in GW1.
Also we should have dungeon runs in guild missions too.
since dungeon is 5 party run. we can make it similar to guild track. Depending on the difficulty level, we give certain number of random dungeons, when guild mission for dungeons triggered.

Thanks guys for all your ideas. I just wanted to address the sw farming issues because HOT is coming out. We’ve had a few farmings before, and they were nerfed for the similar reasons. Of course, players will move to HOT initially but rewards and farming issues can’t be overlooked. I just want to discuss it now than later.
Thanks anet for taking my advice on “Raid” concept despite many people objected my idea. and thanks anet for incorporating wvw into guild missions despite so many people objected my idea.
Now that HOT is coming, isn’t it time we end the insane farming and drop loot in silverwaste. it really inflated the game economy and it’s off balance with other areas of the map.
well comparing to rewards in wvw and pvp is another story!
also guild needs more ranks with the release of the HOT. because we want to have silverwaste master, HOT master, raid master and so on
so expand the number of ranks in guild panel. another suggestion is that if some of the guild buff price and cooking time be adjusted, that would help a lot of guilds and players.

what is wrong with chainging the way you know wvw, game changes all the time!
of course i have, i am a commander in wvw. if you want to make a point, make some sense out of your sentence. we are trying to make some constructive suggestions here.
If Doe represent a guild A and A guild run the wvw mission activated. he will represent the server that A guild is based on. so credit goes to that server. If he represent B guild based on B server and B guild activate the wvw misison and he participate. he is representing B server. How hard is that to understand?. Yes most guilds are pve guilds because most players are pve players. so make Wvw part of pve guild misisons. what is wrong wiht that?

currently wvw is based on individuals, not on the world. therefore there’s not organization at all again. and wvw guilds are mintues. it is not you that you have to be in a wvw guild to get credit. any guild run the wvw as if they run guild missions and guild members get credit from it. so it doenst matter if that if pve, pvx or wvw guilds. as long as run the misison in wvw map. See most of these ppl writing on forums admit that they are wvw players. but in the game, not even 10% of playres participate in wvw.
why would you think guild based wvw is lower and narrower concept? individual based concept is not concept at all. there’s no organization at all.
Wvw players takes up less than 10% of Gw2 players, but they took over the game and anet is allocating too much resources on wvw. (personal opinion). but if anet wants to salvage over all wvw population, moving individual bound server system to guild bound server system will be more efficient. Guild will motivate non-wvw players to participate in wvw. besides, GVG and wvw based on guilds will be totally different in that in wvw, multi-guilds will coordinate the battle. Also i don’t think individuals who wants to participate in wvw, don’t make much sense. Now anet created the world based on the servers, so let servers organize their army. Nobody goes to the battle individually. they should join the army.( guilds).!
if none of their guilds is a wvw guild, just have to join a wvw guild.
if one prefer not to be part of any guild, then we assume he doesn’t want to participate in wvw either. or as i said they can participate without credit.
Well, if wvw is bound to guild, it will promote guild activities cross the game. then it will also increase guild participation in Wvw. Whatever guild players represent, they get to participate in wvw and get credit through that guild as they get credit for guild missions.
Non-guild participating players may still play in wvw, but they won’t get credit.
this will discourage guild from transferring from high tier servers.
this will discourage wvw participating players to transfer to high tier servers because they jsut have to join a guild from a high tier guild.
this may encourage players to fight for their server better because it’s motivated and organized by their own guild.
WvW has been a concept based on the server, which divide players and friends. It really decreases guild activities in wvw. Now that HOT is going to upgrade guild activities in GW2. As anet has done in the past by releasing “megaserver” system, I highly suggest that anet remove server based concept on the WvW. Instead, we keep the servers as it is now, but participation of the wvw is to bound to guilds rather than individual. Then we bound Guild to a specific server. This way, guild can recruit players from any server as we do under megaserver system. and we can go to the wvw as a guild. and represent the server where guild is located regardless of the individual players’ root servers.
This will increase guild activities in WvW. and encourage guild recruiting players from all over the servers. this will be true “guild wars”.

is it bug, or anet down graded guild activities?
since the launch of megaserver large / medium size guilds are shrinking.
players do not feel need for a guild since map is always full of people and events are done without guild based organization.
guild missions became hard. guild members can’t even stay on the same map.
some guilds are making super sized alliances to survive only for tequatl, karka or triple trouble organization.
Perhaps anet can come up with something that would promote guild activities such as 10-15 member party dungeons (that requires different roles in subgroups rather than 15 men stacking up their attack), or “guild dungeon unlock” that allows guild to go to a regular dungeon with 10-15 members instead of 5 parties.
It’s something to think about for guild activities between 5 party regular dungeons and world boss events.
we can also think about allowing wvw players to go with their guild rather than their server. that way guild with players from multiple servers can still go into a wvw as a team and as a guild activities.
I miss the days of guild wars with large party dungeons such as the deep or Ulgoth
Perhaps arenanet can design 15 member or 18 party dungeons somewhere along the future development.
Suddenly after May 14th update, evasive arcana skill doesn’t work!
does anybody know why?
