I bought a Total Makeover Kit from the Gem Store, and logged out to use it on another character. After I checked the bank for it on said character, it wasn’t there. I’ve checked my mail, all characters, and the bank, and it’s nowhere to be found. I’ve since contacted support and received no answer. Help would be appreciated.
Yes, I did, to no avail.

Those are, uh… unique little guys.
So there are no formal werewolves, but a norn could fill the role of one by specializing in his wolf form.
I can live with that.
I see. Would anything in the lore outright reject the idea?
I’ve been wondering: are there vampires in Tyria? I’d be very interested to know if there are vampires or werewolves or some other such thing.
I would definitely like more than just JPs, really.
Wouldn’t it be cool if they added something like, hmm, not sure…
Maybe a new PvP map? Like one in the sky, or involving hammers? Maybe some sort of achievement reward system. Maybe some zephyrite themed back items? Maybe they could improve that achievement UI or something? Maybe expand features in WvW, like repair mastery of some kind? Maybe some new activities I can play, like a drinking game akin to that of the OoW mission? Maybe a new scavenger hunt? Maybe they could go COMPLETELY insane and add that level of content every two weeks, adding living stories and dungeons alongside it!
We can only hope.
No one is forcing you to wear the mustache. If you are so bothered by seeing it, join an RP community or something. No one who RPs seriously will be wearing the mustache unless they are chaotic evil (mya-ha-ha!).
And the mohawk grenades in WoW had an effect that could be instantly cancelled.
A thread to throw ideas for an expansion in.
Here are a few of my ideas:
The Tengu, the Next Playable Race: This is a popular one, because they aren’t fully understood as a race and they are different enough to stand on their own as a playable race.
Henchmen: For newcomers to the Guild Wars series, the “Henchmen” system involved hiring a couple of NPCs to adventure with you through the land of Tyria. This could also be a nice segway for introducing a new PvP mode akin to that of the original’s PvP.
Cantha, the Next Explorable Continent: Either Cantha or Elona would do, really. Would be a huge throwback for fans and would get me exploring again!
Mist Dungeons: Kind of like raids from vanilla WoW, “Mist Dungeons” could be these 10 or 15+ man instances that drop mostly crafting material for getting the best of armor sets and legendary weapons. These could be tricky to pull off right, but if done correctly these could add a fantastic endgame for hardcore players.
AIR INSTRUMENT /DANCES: You GW1 veterans know exactly what I mean.
Legendary Armor Sets: There were some pretty cool legendary weapons, but armor has just as much potential. How about a cloth set that makes you float slightly off the ground out of combat or something cool like that?
Increased Level Cap: Seems a bit obvious, but might as well say it.
More Hearts and Dynamic Events: See ‘Increased Level Cap’.
More Weapons: Greataxes, Spears, Bardiches, Poniards, Sais, Scythes, Flails, Fist Weapons, Unarmed Combat, Claws, etc.
Just a few ideas that I believe could be implemented via the upcoming expansion pack. Please leave other ideas in the comments!
If you say that GW2 failed, you’re either trolling, you have an awkward perception of the word failure, or you’ve accustomed yourself into believing it’s failed. Guild Wars 2’s Manifesto stated what the developers wanted in the game and it’s there. Some people say “I want endgame”, but what they don’t seem to understand is that the game isn’t a traditional MMO. It’s an RPG. Think about it. You may call WoW an RPG, but akittens core the game is extremely linear, leading you by a leash from quest to quest. In an RPG you make choices, you do what you want when you want, and affect things around you. Take that experience, put it on a MUCH larger scale with meaningful character progression, and give it content that is added to it every month. There you have Guild Wars 2.
What haters of the game don’t seem to realize is that while other MMORPGs are MMOs with RPG elements, GW2 is an RPG with MMO elements.
So, for all you haters out there, maybe the game did meet expectations, and you just need to tweak your perception of the term MMORPG.
And no, I’m not a fanboy. I have a multitude of problems with this game. But I still like the game for what it is.
Haven’t really thought of it those ways… thanks guys.
I like my asura guardian, but I can’t stand the idea of him being a “selfless defender”. I’m tempted to make a new asura, but I don’t know what to play. Could someone please tell me why everyone thinks asura guardians are so fitting for asura? I know they’re brilliant tacticians, etc, but… selfless? Doesn’t sound asuran to me.
As a warrior, I’ve noticed that sometimes the Vengeance downed spell wears off. For those who don’t know, Vengeance is a downed spell that resurrects you momentarily and then defeats you. Why does it wear off? Is this a bug? Is this a proc? If so, what triggers it?
Dangit, I wish Mopp the Insufferable would fit. Thanks, though.
Another good idea, thanks.
Thanks Zach, I think I’ll use Mopp for my elementalist if it’s not taken.
Zojja would have Mr. Sparkles pound them into scrap.
But if I had to choose, Rytlock. Logan would run to “defend his queen”.
I plan to make the majority of my characters Asura, and I already have a few. But I’m running short on names. Anyone have any suggestions for me, or people like me?
