Black Legion surpassed the 100 member mark over the weekend. In celebration, we held various events including a scavenger hunt, mystery race, a box ’o fun and had prizes such as 20 slot bags etc. for the winners.

Black Legion continues to host events that are open for all! On this evenings schedule we have WvW starting at 7pm est, and Dungeon Night starting at 10pm. All are welcome to attend with us.

Black Legion is hosting our “Weekly Race” this evening beginning at 8pm server. At 8pm a big group of us gets together and rushes to see who can complete their daily the quickest. A prize is awarded to the person who can link their completion coin first in chat. All are welcome to join.

Black Legion is hosting sPvP training and competition this evening beginning at 8pm est. If any of you are interested in getting some training in, or possibly being our enemies please whisper Gargoogle in game this evening after 5pm est.

Raids, plain and simple. Dungeons that require 25+ people in a raid group to complete. Knock it all you want, but raids are a mmo staple. It IS what you do for endgame PVE in mmo’s.

It’s legendary…one person in hundreds or thousands should have it. If 1 in 10 has it, what makes it so legendary? Anet, keep it tough to get these things. Make it near impossible…Lengendary weapons are for people who go through legendary trials and tribulations to obtain them. If this means grinding out 100+ gold to get a component, so be it. I will never have a legendary…I dont have it in me to gather that sort of gold. But I dont begrudge Anet for making it so tough. Good for them!

How about Anet just making nodes so that they can only be mined by 1 person…not everyone? It worked in all other games, it can work here as well. Mats will become valuable again. Also, Anet could make it a requirement that lower level mats are needed in higher level recipe’s. Lots can be done. The economy in this game needs major work. I want to craft and make profit.

Anet should also nerf xp gains from crafting. Everyone being able to be awesome at everything, and an abundant supply of everything leads to mediocre crafting and economy. Anet screwed the pooch on this aspect of the game.

Seriously? It wouldnt be Ghastly then. You should have chosen a weapon that glows all the time.

Black Legion is hosting WvW starting at 9pm est and going until whenever. Additionally for those who like to PvE, we are hosting a PvE Till You Drop event where we will be doing explorable modes, vistas, jump puzzles etc…until you cant keep your eyes open. Black Legion will also host an orichalcum run this evening. We get it done quick and painlessly, is as little time as possible.

Black Legion is hosting multiple explorable mod dungeons this evening in conjuction with a smattering of WvW thrown in for good measure. Grab your snacks and drinks, give us a shout and come join us for some good times and excitement.

Friday evening will see Black Legion participating in some sPvP! If any of you are interested we would love to schedule some scrimages against your guild. We can all hop on our mumble server and critique each others team for mutual benefit.

FAQ

Is Black Legion a multi-gaming guild? Not at all, we have played numerous games in the past, however we focus on one game at a time. Guild Wars 2 is that game for the foreseeable future.

Are you a PvP or PvE guild? We are neither and both. We enjoy all aspects of gaming.
Do you remove members from the guild often? It is in the best interests as a guild to retain our players, while also maintaining high expectations for participation. Members are removed if they break any of our rules or for non-approved inactivity of more than ten days.

Will I be ensured a position on the competitive 5v5 roster? We have Kill Teams established for structured 5v5 PvP. Kill Team Alpha is reserved for the best our guild has to offer as determined by leadership. Kill Teams Bravo through Echo are created by guild members themselves. Starting and bench slots for Kill Team Alpha are competitive and dynamic, and every guild member has a continued opportunity to earn such a position.

Will Recruitment and applications be open over the long-term? No. We have a target roster size alongside targets for each profession.

WoW Rogue’s legendary daggers on cataclysm used to take like 4 months of a straight forward “grind” on the last tier raid, so whats your point regarding the time it takes to get the most “high-end” item?

Did you even play WoW? It never took 4 months, world first pair of daggers took a month and a half, if you add an additional month you could get these daggers by playing 3 hours a week as long as you were in a half decent guild. These daggers are the easiest legendary item to get in WoW so far.

If Blizzard had allowed raiders to reset raid instances once they were cleared someone would have gotten the daggers in the first 3 days.

Raided Molten Core in wow for 6 months and NEVER saw both halves of the windfury drop. And still loved every minute of it. Apparently Arenanet has made it hard to get legendarys. Which I commend them on, I am glad that there is a game where every Joe on the street isnt walking around in epics. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Quit crying about how tough it is to get something and either start your grind or gtfo. You are probably a guild hopper too.

There is another side to this coin, though. Yes, you’re absolutely correct in saying that one could use the Trading Post to buy & sell materials they want or need.

There are some folks, though, that like or aim for the sense of achievement of having provided all their own materials to level. Whilst that may not be something all enjoy, or would aim for, the reality is some may choose to do that, and I don’t believe they could be labelled “wrong” for wanting to achieve this.

As long as its easy right?
