I used to get one or two a day from the random loot containers., now I have much much higher magic find and I haven’t found one for months.
As someone who plays exclusively PvP this is a little upsetting.
I use axe for the offhand spike damage. and it’s very nice might generation on mainhand,
The only alternative I see is Sword, which I dislike due to the AA, and longbow, which just doesn’t feel solid without Lead the Wind. You can swap guard out for signet of renewal and NM does make poison useless.
The premise is simple, high guaranteed crits through rapid fury application. While still being tanky.
Pro’s: High Spike damage, easy to drop someone in seconds. Strong Pet, Solid group support through Search and Rescue and Guard. Very High might uptime, perma swiftness/weak regen.
Con’s: Low toughness but deals with direct damage decently, no condition removal.
BM/MM/Nature magic
Ross, the CD on Thieves guild is massive, wouldn’t basilisk venom be better as you’ll have it up for every fight? Also giving your allies a stun is awesome.
Also, taking the stealth on steal instead of leaching venoms seems to negate the point of venomshare.
Title Says it all, I enjoy the playstyle. Just wondering if it’s actually good. And viable in higher tier play. Also, if anyone knows a good build it’d be appreciated.
OK, I’ve been working the last two days pretty much non-stop. I’m very interested in the LB / Staff build, however I still don’t quite know what my build should be. Or my playstyle, druid’s class mechanic is weird.
I love bursty gameplay, what decent builds are there that are bursty, squishy, but still viable? Thieves seem kittenty now, mesmers, aren’t my thing, my main LB/GS Ranger build is completely unviable.
What do I do to drop people in seconds?
Outside of longbow the only other weapon that feels natural is Greatsword. Should I just switch to DH for a ranged DPS playstyle?
I’ve been a Ranger main since Day One. Even when Rapidfire was terrible and Lead The Wind was 3 separate traits. And from everything I can see, they’ve buffed Longbow a lot.
However, I can’t seem to kill any class reliably. immunities are everywhere, stability is everywhere, even thieves just dodge chain while running away.
Heart of Thorns has changed the game. I can no longer reliably Rapidfire, Stealth, Stun, Maul, and when I do. It’s lack luster.
Am I missing something?
I’m very curious to know what the downside to specialized classes will be, are they going to be locked out of their regular abilities? Or does it simply grant you bonus skills to chose from.
Basically, if there is only going to be one specialization per class on release is every Ranger going to be a Druid? Or is it true to name, and Druids have access to only druid skills. (Wayy easier to balance but far more rigid.)
