I agree that defenders need an advantage. They already had though. Defending was a lot easier than attacking every was. So what was the point of this AC buff?

That’s it. Thanks to some minute changes, I can shrug off any number of arrow carts- even if they are grouped and assisting -long enough to heal through the damage. The absolute highest amount of damage I have ever taken from an AC post-patch is 1370 or thereabout.
So now we’re required to re-spec to counter ACs? If you can’t see the issue with that well I don’t know what to say.

Level 1 siege bunker removes 1% of the damage.
and level 5 reduces 5% . so ?
until now i and my mates near me never die from ac’s whatever ac force we faced . downed some , but rezzed inside combat .
He’s telling you how useless siege bunker is. 5% is nothing, it is not worth anything.
lets ignore the fact there is a siege mastery buff that makes siege do 5 percent more damage by itself and makes that buff completely void as well…

why, as a necromancer would I use full rabid when death shroud scales better with vit? btw the trinkets are rabid but again jumping the gun before thinking…

Necros cannot possibly have that little health lol. Obviously if you look at the time of the damage and the current time of the game (right next to the minimap) its the same time, I.E. I just got out of combat.

WvW is meant to be about players fighting players
That is opinion, not fact.
WvW is also not even sides, and the siege weapons could help to resolve that problem. I think Arenanet should try to address the zergy problem first and this arrow cart fix seems like the start of that, with zerglings whining in their thousands in this very thread. Lulz at them.
If you think wvw isn’t about player versus player…. I dont even know how to begin to understand what you think it is about. My head aches just thinking about how someone could even think something like that….

If your lucky the defenders are too stupid to know where to build arrow carts, but I dont rely on the stupidity of my enemy for a win.

Major props for VoTF for pressing this hard on a serious issue in WvW. I don’t see how this will end well for the more organized guilds as ourselves. We want to fight people ANet, not walls or doors or siege.. BUT ACTUAL PEOPLE.

Any way this is all still a knee jerk reaction of some of the player base we still have a lot of ppl who still play WvW and will keep playing WvW for some time. These players can and will adapted as needed to fix the new Arrowcart buff IF and only IF the person whom on the cart has level 15+ in wvw and went all in to arrowcart line.
Its not really a knee jerk reaction when we know how 5 arrow carts could effect things pre-patch, and Jackie has all the trait points already in arrow cart mastery for us to see the effects, as shown by his screen shots.

So wait, with siege actually having some kind of meaning, it forces huge groups to break apart, hit in multiple locations, and look for tactical ways to take a fortified structure? Well now, that’s just silly. Why can’t we just get groups of 70 people to beat a door down with limited repercussions? Sorry, I don’t mind the arrow cart changes, as a matter of fact I think all siege should have this kind of impact. Forcing players to think outside the box and adapt is what a great game does. So will players need to intelligently prepare a siege strategy now, sure, but it beats the heck out of a mindless zerg ball bashing 1 to capture a point. The good commanders will adapt to the change and come up with the techniques that work, the zerg commanders will fail now, and fail hard.
How does it make a zerg split up? When it takes LESS people to defend than it does to attack how do you really think smaller groups will be able to cap anything? I mean really…
Send 100 people to one door or send 25 to 4 different breakable locations. Or split forces to hit several different locations. Set a diversion up with 25 while the rest hit another keep. Use tactical approaches and break out of the zerg mindset.
If 5-10 people can hold off 100 and 2 can hold off 25 then how exactly does this resolve anything? Surely if 100 people are attacking a keep that has 5-10 people inside it then it should fall! Defence should be done by PEOPLE not siege! Siege should supplement it, not be the defining factor!
The greatest defenses in history were very few holding off very many because they had a defensible location. If you as an army rush in without a plan against a group in a strongly defensible location and die, who is at fault?
What part do you not understand this is a video game and not real life? Aren’t we supposed to have fun? How is 5 people blocking your entire raid with little to no effort fun for anyone other then those 5? Its mind boggling that anyone could enjoy hiting a siege button endlessly with no danger to themselves. Sheesh go play a single player with god mode on if you want that nonsense.
btw how are you supposed to take said tower when arrow carts will just nuke you going through the choke? Whats to stop the enemy zerg just destroying you, while you were spread out dodging arrow cart damage? Do you people assume your opponent is just sitting on the arrow carts behind the walls foaming at the mouth? You were already at a disadvantage when 30 people can run in and our of a portal healing back to full and rebuffing while your trying res people, then splashing back out trashing everyone spread out again. With these arrow cart upgrades, they will be able to do that while your stuck at < 50 percent hp. Jeeze people are clueless
