10k isn’t good number not because it is insane (mind you, it is still pretty big), but because most of activities are borrrrring.
Why are they boring? Some of them are practically always full (like JP), only one activity can be played in party (Infinarium and you won’t do it to farm presents). And, well, they haven’t changed since 2013. Yeah, sure, they are great for new players after HoT release, but doing same activities again and again and again…And again, so you will get 10k drinks is insanely bad for players. Newcomers will want this item, but they would need to grind. Or play repetitive activities, which they will get next Wintersday.
For me it is strange to think, that i can’t get this, just because i don’t want to grind or do repetitive sh**. And i don’t understand, why chef can’t prepare this drinks (like, give us ability to make more alcohol, so chefs would be also brewers). 20 flawless snowflakes for one drink can be good (and 2 other ingredients).

Atm i’m playing PvP and FoTM for gold to buy drinks. I’ve tried to do activities, but i don’t like this jumping action (it is not jumping puzzle, which i love wholeheartedly), i’ve already played choir bell for 15 hours (listening to Primo Victoria, because it is good for this autistic and repetitive activity) and don’t want to do it any more, i hate playing toypocalypse with some random people (it was fun to play in party with friends using skype to talk). Snowball mayhem is good, but reward is meh.

For me, the worst part of Toypocalypse is that you can’t play it with your friends. I hadn’t expected anything good for this Wintersady and, atm, it is a total failure. Toxx even has defiance! So, we know, that no one touched main part of Wintersday – activities. And we can say, that anet doesn’t want us to have fun

You can EASILY make 100g a day casually and by casually i mean afking most of the day because why not – I mean farming cuz I don’t play the market either. Efficiency is for chumps. You are more than welcome to disagree but i’ve made twilight from scratch in less than a month while throwing 100g into my portable toilet box each day until the pre was pulled( no brag).

Yup I like putting forth effort to obtain what others can’t or unwilling to achieve – makes the juice all the bit sweeter. majority of rewards now are already “log in to unlock” – and still they claim nothing is geared towards them >_>. Why bother playing if were to be unlocked by entering in your acct password.

just a FYI the shoulder skin is permanent. you do not need the 10k drinks by the end of wintersday. as long as you have everything else done, the 10k drink achievement is not going away. Of course the only tangible way to get the drinks outside of wintersday is the TP, it will still be there all year and continue next year as well.

I know, that achievement won’t go away. Still, two years to get skin for shoulders…Strange idea, don’t you think so?

hard is suppose to drive you to the brink of giving up, as well as if this is your first mmo- mmos are all about grinds.

Use the gold you’ve been grinding prior to wintersday release to buy the needed alcohol, if your excuse is “I am not going to go to that extent for a skin” then why bother worrying about it?

Yeah…Ofc. If you love to grind – it is. There some other…things to do in mmorpgs. Like, roleplay, exploration, challenges, activities… Sometimes even story (not in GW2 case, thou).

They are trying to be all things to all people and failing on a lot of fronts for sure. Making the holiday shoulders easy to acquire flies in the face of their design. Them making something that you can earn easily makes you not pay attention to the items on the cash shop. They put this stuff in the game to earn and it makes the cash shop stuff look more attractive. You say to yourself, “Gee, I really want those shoulders for the snow effect but that will take dozens if not hundreds of hours for me. That costume on the gem shop on the other hand is just a credit card purchase away.”

I don’t pay attention to the items in gem store, because most of them look bad on charrs Also, musical instruments and tools were cool. But after “10000 drinks in the air” i don’t want to buy anything. Also, i would buy that shoulders from gem store, buuut…It isn’t in the gem store.

Winter’s Presence is crafted/forged and account bound and the others are random drops. However, it’s still a premium skin and I think it’s odd that people think that it shouldn’t have a premium cost to go with it.

Yap, i understand. Still, if this was really hard or interesting thing i would understand (crafting legendary with collection is interesting, yet hard, and rewarding). But, well, 10000 drinks is…mmm…like Lineage 2 grindfest. It is really like “wtf, i should do same things for 3 hours a day just because it is premium skin?”. My charr is chef and i wouldn’t mind if i could craft those drinks during a year, but i won’t have such a luxury. I should grind boxes. And after that, i should open 100 boxes and consume this drinks. Oh, so merry festival.

Glad for you And i want shoulders, because i love to look and cute animations on my character. I really love them and i really want them. I don’t grind that much – i can say that in this mmo i’m casual. Still, that shoulders are soooo adorable, that i can’t resist. I think, my charr would be glad to have this item Still, 10k…And i have 9k to go…

Oh..why do i want to play different activities? And, maybe, with friends? I love to play with them and i want shoulders. And for this shoulders i need to consume…10000 drinks. Oh, not that big number, yeah? Like, 31 day -> 10000 drinks -> 323 a day -> ~350 presents a day -> in bells 18 present in 7 minutes -> 2,5 hours of bells. JESUS F***ING CHRIST. Something wrong with thick skin. Started to play warrior, decided to go in sup (tactics+defence). Get first five trait points, put them into defence and now any mob can easily kill my with -100 toughness on 90% hp

Is it bug or feature?

Game profession like knight. It can use charge that have harathi lancers, also it will be unteresting to see mounted battles.

Also it will be good, if you add formations (like shield wall, lance wall, halberd formation etc). They will add some variety in tactics.

And again asking for some interesting tasks to create guild hall. It will be interesting to order stone in Bloodcliff quarry and help mine it (if you want).

Some new commands also would be nice, cause nobody wants to sit on chair – only near or in

I thought about one thing: would you make in-game caravans for PvP? A caravan with some goods moves from one point to another (maybe between cities or locations) and attacked by mobs/anotherGuild.
Also: whether will be some zones of influence gor guilds (like in PW, that not to be mentioned) with castles to fight for?
Whether will be ladder for guild influence on their race (for example: high rank of charr guild leader)?
Also whether possibility to spy and make some sabotage before battles between guilds?
