I’d also suggest that crediting “the Guild Wars 2 development and design team” is a good way to do this – it’s reasonable to say that the team, working together, rather than an individual artist from it, inspired you.
(Generally. I’m making the assumption that the people reviewing this are using good judgment to read what you say and kitten it from a sensible, neutral-ish point of view. If they have a checklist of names and you have to list the correct ones, all bets are off.
Agreed.
The OP is admiring the work that the team produced using the tools available to this game, not just the original design or mock-ups from a single person.
I agree. Plus we work so collaboratively that it is unusual for someone to be the only person with “hands on” in a specific element of the game. While credit where credit is due is very nice, I like the idea of the team credits and I think the members of the teams themselves would agree.
Thanks so much for the reply’s Gaile, and everyone else. Ill do just that, ill talk about how the animation team inspires me.
Thanks for everything.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I will look up the names mentioned and take a look at the old Guild Chat.
I have been looking for who worked on what for the animations in guild wars 2. Because I am applying to schools for Computer Animation and they have questions about “What artist inspire me.”
So I am looking for Animators to reference who inspire me, particularly the Sylvari female animations for idle and running are both animations I bring up a lot in conversation and show people who are curious about what I am doing with my life.
Is there anywhere I can look to see who did animations for what, or anyway I may be able to find out?
Thanks for everything,
-Murphy
Agreed I’m tired of losing wars because YB can’t fight but nobody has jobs there so they K train all night. If changing the scoring system is gonna give me opponents who can fight I’m all for it.
YB can’t fight? Here you go, last night:
Ugh…
Ok, I’ll be short in this thread.
A change that target specific hours, timezones or players?
Unacceptable.
Unviable.
Illogical.Globally change the way WvW scoring works and reduce the impact of runaway scores due to unbalanced sides, with the same WvW scoring rules applied 24/7?
Perfect.
What we need.
Logical. And yet people instantly go apekitten over the first thing, which Anet never would do unless they are kittens.
Yes, but a-net has not clarified on what they are trying to say. So as long as people say some stupid kitten about half the world’s population play time needs to be worth less then there’s then I’m going to ask for a net not to.
I think you guys should not get stuck on the term “nightcapping”. This basically means timeframe when one server has very little or no enemies to fight and they take over all the maps without fighting anyone. It could happen same way in the morning. Or during the day. It just happens that most players go to sleep at night so the term has been used to describe situation.
The proposed changes have been about increasing the points you earn while you are fighting enemies. Honestly, when you capture heavily defended objective against active enemy group, you should earn more points because it simply takes longer and it also requires more effort. Same way, when there are no enemies on the map, your passive tick should be reduced because there is nobody to challenge any of the objectives.
The proposed change is basically about making sure passive PvE portion of points is reduced and PvP portion (more enemies = more points) is increased. It is not even tied to the specific timeframe, but mostly to the fact that WvW without enemies to fight is not fun.
The problem with huge off-hours population has been quite obvious in several EU matches where strong nightcrews push server rating up into higher tier where their prime time population is unable to compete against much more numerous enemy forces. The result is that match is ruined for 3 servers, the one with strong off-hour crew (as they get overrun during prime time) and also both their enemies who have nobody to fight.
^ this imo is the only post with intelligence coming from the other side. They bring up a good point/idea about the point system being changed Vea kills and fights not time.
If this were the case then it would make alot more sence. That’s why I really hope we get some clarification from a-net for this. Because everyone crying about ppt is pethedic. Wvw is a sport, WHAT SPORT DOESN’T STACK PLAYERS? If they do change it to where “night time” earns less points that’s not about ppt that is basicly saying anyone who plays at night is worthless. Who wants to play a game where what they do is meaningless?
Take this a an example:
I live in Alaska. All I do is wvw and I normally play during the hours of 9pm-12am my time. If you live on the east coast, that is a 4 hr difference, 1-4am your time… so you are telling me just because you are sleeping I should be earning less for my server? My efforts are worth less then yours?
Yes? Then what about when I am at work and you are at home taking my keeps but I can’t do kitten about it because I’m still working? Are you going to put a cap on the points you can earn when people are at work and others are not?
This isn’t about ppt stop kittening about losing points at night. This is about fairness. People play a game while you sleep isn’t unfair so kitten off.
They should have made it there where you could only vote if u have atleast 50hr game play in wvw. Or simular.
That’s Cuz ur a ranger
At this rate the scoring is going to be the change. All we can do now is hope to the love of god that a-net does not change which time zone you play in effects the amount of points you earn for you server.
Just because one server has a good “night time” guild that does not mean you have to punish them.
This will not effect the NA day time pop that much so stop thinking about yourselves. This is about any EU players on NA servers or vise versa.
There would be no point for our amazing Auzy guilds to play if they are only getting 50% of the points that day crew gets.
This will break wvw, most likely distorty it. If your going to change the point system at least do it without making half of the world’s population feel useless.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THEY MADE ALL DAY TIME POINTS MADE BY ANYONE WORTH A QUARTER TO WHAT THE NIGHT TIME POPULATION DOES?
Yes, Thank you WvW team for listening to all of us =)
Because dumbing down the point system to kitten style will not make things better. Nor the flaming hate of people playing “night” when they realize that everything they do is worthless and thier fun is killed in the game.
If you want a better score… play more, get more of your server to play, organize better. You can go have you kitten mode pve don’t make our wvw stupid ez as well.
No! VOTE FOR CROSS WORLD CHAT FOR THE FLAMES!
-Some people just want to watch the world burn.
No lol, its not that kind of cross world chat, it means cross map for your server. Meaning if your on EB, you can chat with people on a bl.
Ither way this is still worth voting for. Being able to talk cross bl and eb would make for greater reaction time.

yep the normal one works, just the 64bit thats slow.
Yeah, Same here. Restarted to see if it was my computer. But guess not.
I hear yah. I was that way for a bit and still have the urge to beat the raid. But it kind of took a back seat when I decided to go for nevermore… now it’s just been event chains. I’ll be back raids… I’ll be back…
Just wondering what people are up too these days now HoT has been out for a while? People still farming silverwaste? HoT bring new cash!? DS better then CS? Some good old world bosses are your fancy? SPVP, WVW now more rewarding then ever? RAIDZ!?
Everyone loves events! Post here and why about what you have been poring your good old hrs into.
Simple idea… I am changing my main again for the 4th time.
So I am faced with the same thing as always… having to buy more bag slots at 400 gems each…
Anyway we could get a option to relock the ones we already have bought (10 now) to a unlock them on a different character.
Just an thought. Thanks.
I have a [NA] guild that has no one in it, no one has to be in it. I am not using it for anything, it doesn’t have to be used for somthing.
That said. I would like to use it: Transcending Insanity [TI]. For a raiders hub. A place where we can type /g# Who wants to raid? And we get 20 or more people up for it.
You can rep, you don’t have to rep. You can stay, you don’t have to stay. You can build the guild, you don’t have to build the guild. You can do other things then raid, but everyone in it wants to raid.
There is no requirements to join. There will be Me and maybe a few other leaders, to control the drama (which there will be none.). Then everyone else will be the same rank. It’s just going to be a place to find people to fill slots where you need.
Making this because it’s a good idea, if others are not interested it’s not a problem. If someone else has already made on. Add me…
Ah. So your EU? Because your in almost a twelve hr difference from me =/ I am on Alaska/US time. Shame.
Hey, Murphy here, I am kind of looking for the same. This would normally be something I would form with the guys I play most games with but seeing how they have all lost sight of gw2 I am kinda left out in the open.
Though I maining Reaper/Ele right now this is what I have to bring:
*Played since launch.
*Full 80s in every class
*400 in every craft, with 500 tailor. To make gear.
*Not alot of gold but still enough to regear a few times
*Mostly pvp and gvg experience, so communication skills and working with 5-15 man teams.
*Have full accended zerker with strength runes. With full sets of zerk, cele, and soldiers accessories.
*Willingness to change and adapt to what we need.
*Veteran players and good guys that we can throw in and count on if missing some numbers.
Other then that I’m not sure what else to put… I’m at work so I you want to keep in touch let me know.
Things to ask I guess? What time zone are you?
Ign. Murphez Law.
Just a thank you to Anet for their continued hard work. I know there was a-lot of anger towards Anet these past weeks from the WvW population, as there always is from players when mistakes happen.
Though it looked a bit rough and we all had our doubts Anet again show’ed us why we love this game so much. If there ever is a problem Anet jumps on it and fixes it, but not only fixing it, they make it better.
So all in all I just wanted to say thank you, for all Anet has done for its community. They work hard, get yelled at, then work even harder. I love that about them. Keep up the beautiful work Anet! We all love you even if we seem a bit agro. =)
