Piken Square hands down, tactic’s employed where amazing, organisation between the Guilds amazing #& for a sever that doesn’t have the biggest night crew they went up the ranks very fast for a small RP server.

Most other server’s I have been against just Zerg about like mindless zombie’s or don’t do anything prime time EU & wait till 3-4am to cap everything as the rest sleep.

I would like to say thanks to WSR for the fun tonight in your Borderlands, but can I ask tho when you was at lake why didn’t you send a team to go take Briar & Bay? we had our full force of the map @ lake (About 20 of us) & we would not have been able to split up to defend two Towers & a Keep so you could have got most of your map back as your main force kept us busy.

I would suggest looking at Far Shiverpeaks (FS), they have dropped down the ranks due to numbers leaving for Blacktide (BT) & Desolation (Deso) but as I hear it they still have a good core & few ques.

What ever server you choose I’m sure they will welcome you.

Anyone else think this is a pretty crappy thing to do? Directly asking another server to give up and move to them?

I for one feel this is the best way to do this kind of thing, its a lot better then someone going behind My/Servers back & whispering x Guild/s then finding out a week or two down the line that x Guild/s have moved due to a sneaky recruitment from another server.

This way everyone’s cards are on the table for all to see & make up their own minds on what they feel is best for them, atm I feel Underworld wold not benefit from moving to GH as we on GH are going threw another bad week of upheaval’s due to Guilds moving, this dose not mean I don’t want others to move to us because I do but atm I can not guarantee that GH can offer the Greener pastures the some Guilds are looking for.

I can Guarantee that any Guild/s that do move to GH will be welcomed with open arms & that you will be fighting alongside some of the nicest guys I have met in my whole MMO history, but you will also be fighting one of the hardest uphill battles of your life due to where GH once was & our fall from grace & vicious fighting no matter how outnumbered we are has made us a Target for many.

I am a loyal person & I am going to stay with the friends I have made on GH, if they wish to move to another server I will follow as-long as its not to AG or BT,if they quit GW2 then I will look for a new home for myself be that a New Server or staying on GH.

Anyway the cards have been laid out on the table & those that read this thread are free to make their own minds up on the matter.

So today I started in AG borderlands with 6 others at 6pm, although we was outmanned we took Vale,South supply & Briar. Our goal was to hold & upgrade Briar till prime time & our main lads logged on, at around 8-8:30pm we had AG Borderlands full & took the whole south of the map. (Btw we had no commander in AG borderlands just a collective of minds making plans )

Later on most got called away to defend our Borderlands from WR, so we stayed for a bit to take supply camps before moving to WR Borderlands & taking stuff from them.

Ended the Night with some fun in EB & noticed a New commander I haven’t seen before (Some very long name of which I have forgotten )

All in All another good showing from our prime-time.

Anyone that users Alt+F4 in WvW needs to be named & shamed then shunned by everyone on that server, People that use this tactic in WvW are also the one’s most likely to use Hack’s/Cheat’s in-game if they can get away with it.

Take it like a Man (or Women) & fight fair, play fair, Die fair.

If I see/catch anyone doing the Alt+F4 on our server I will name & shame them on the Gunnar’s Community forum, if I see/catch anyone doing it in my Guild I will auto kick them & I can assure you they will never find a WvW Guild on Gunnar’s again as we as a server will not stand for this.

Thanks AG for the event it was just the push we (GH) needed after all the brag posts from some of you guys on how much we are not a challenge for you, shame some of you guys love the Alt+F4 (looks at FURY).

With the 24hr cover you guys have you should be 2-3 tiers above us but I guess Numbers + Time coverage means nothing when you lack the skill needed to succeed.

Been a good fight so far this weekend hope it stays a good match up for the rest of the week.

@AG players you keep saying you lack in numbers but so far this weekend the times I have played you far outnumber GH & WR, you have a full force in EB & your own borderland + are able to put a pretty good force in GH borderland.

WR seem to be able to fill only their Borderland & nothing else & GH I know can fill our Borderland + EB but that’s all we can do & that’s on a good day (Weekends are always bad for us)

Anyway lets see what the rest of the week brings & good luck to all.

Was good fun lastnight in Drakkar borderland, I lead a pug group in the north of the map taking Camps & even Dawns twice as TDA lead by Fiz & some more pugs took the south, we thought we would try split your Drakkar swam up but we only got about 10 Drakkar come to us up North watching till your other 40+ turned up.

The tactic’s you used on lake Trebbing from Hills was a good plan as we didn’t have the numbers to do a full frontal on Hills to stop you but you need to work on the follow up, you outnumbered us 4-1 & at first you kept coming in small groups & died on the stairs then you massed & charged to the lords room leaving us standing & able to mass AoE you (Good for us, Bad for you) what you should have done is portal behind us on the walls focused on us to clear the walls then move to the lords room once we are all bloody copes at your feet.

After our numbers dropped to the point we couldn’t do anything anymore in Drakkar I took my group to Underworld since all week we haven’t seen much of them, the first thing we did was help a Commander & his warband take Bay then I moved my group north again took the Supply Camp & than had a really good fight with Underworld (Sorry we pinned you in the spawn) after fighting for about 20mins with Underworld they got some reinforcements & we held on for about another 10mins as you slowly got us down 1 by 1. First time I have really met Underworld in a open fight & had a lot of fun doing so. (btw I was the annoying little Necoro )

I wont be in WvW or at the cross server meeting as RL will be getting in the way, so I would like to wish Drakkar & Underworld the best of luck in their next match ups.

I don’t know whats happened to Piken this week but my god you are not the same server as last week, sending 40+ players to chase a 3 player GH strike team all over AM bl & louse a tower in the process, then when GH gets some numbers 20ish & we attack lake you send your whole force to lake & louse 2 more towers, Garrison & as I right this now you are also lousing Bay!!

Sorry to say this coz you have some really good guilds on Piken but if you play in the higher tiers like you are playing this week & you will get hammered.

I know you are having a high tic right now but that is really due to the lack of fight in WvW this week, GH we just don’t have the numbers to hold anything for long & I know that makes us an easy target but you wont learn anything fighting the weaker of the two server’s.

I will still fight this week no matter the odds & I’m not asking you to hold back on us I just don’t want Piken to go the way we did after having a loss & having guys jump ship, as we on GH are going through a bad time right now & its hitting us hard. I would not wish on anyone what we are going through right now.

Did you report them? (You should always report cheaters/hackers)

If you did Report them can you please /pm me the names so we GH can find them out & contact their Guild leaders to have them removed from sed Guilds & Named & shamed on our GH community forum.

If you can only play for the first few hours after reset your contribution in WvW would be better felt within the 24hrs more than it would be in the week long WvW, you would make more of a difference for the server in a 24hr match than you would in a week long match.

GH was going down hill before those guilds left due to us not having the 24/7 coverage, those Guilds that left, left so they could be on a winning server with 24/7 coverage. As you already know Snort.

I think one of the main reasons Guilds move in the current system, the scores when X-server wins by 100k points those that do nothing but look at the score are the ones that keep jumping server.

WvW shouldn’t be about the overall score like it is now with the system we have & instead it should be about having fun so that you (The Players) keep coming back, the system I propose I feel will help in the Fun part of WvW & make it better for all.

The “core” was ripped out when those 6 main WvW guilds left GH Slips, as we said then it’s only a matter of weeks before the few remaining guilds find their own servers and KISS moves on to somewhere where they can be carried again.

Though they were quite vocal about hunting us down and destroying us, I expected them to transfer to Desolation. Even Snort said a prayer to his dark irish gods every night before bed for such a miracle.

Very true but I was more looking at it as those Guilds would have to stay with x-server for at-least 7days & in those 7days the server could win twice come second three times & 3th two times, this with what happens in others server’s match’s could see a server moving from 10th in the league table to 2nd by the end of that week (it would also work the other way round 2nd to 10th) but it is a system that could & I think would lead to a more fair & fun WvW for all.

I came up with this idea a few weeks back trying to work out how to make WvW more Fun & Fair for all & to help stop the Server hopping that some Guilds seem to do in order to be on the Winning Weeks server only for them to hop again as soon as the server meets a better opponent.

I think the best way to stop guilds server jumping is to get rid of the week match’s & go back to the 24hr ones & get rid of the scores & have it who ever has the most at the end of the day wins. Have a league table like in football & have it that the 1st place server gets 3 points, 2nd place gets 2 points & 3rd place gets 1 point.

This way we could have random server match’s & not ranked one’s thus getting rid of the kittenness of the Rankings we have today & stopping Guilds wanting to jump ship as much as they do now.

The league table would look something like this:

Well (AM) you should come 2nd @ end of this week since we have had 3 Guilds leave us & jump ship to Piken, although those Guilds that have left really wont be missed or make to much of an impact of our Primetime fighting.

At around 7am some Gunnar’s logged on (6 players) & we started to take our borderland back, PvD on Sunny, Crag & Garrison (Boring as hell) then we went to Hills & one Piken Necro turned up to defend, sorry to say although he tried he couldn’t stop us & we couldn’t stop the 40+ man AM zerg that followed us in.

To better help those that may consider Gunnar’s as a New home I think knowing possible Que times will help a lot.

Vitas[VS] for Gunnars Hold

Vitas as a guild got started in Warhammer Online, we are a collection of fun loving people who want to have fun in the great game that is Guild Wars 2. We ask of our members that they respect the other people on the server and have a good time. Participation in guild events is not mandatory, you can multiguild and only if we never see you representing will we remove you from the roster, sending you a note why we did so. Belonging to several guilds is a feature that we feel should not be punished. However we will not allow server hoping if anyone in Vitas dose server hop they will be marked in the officer’s note & given One Week where at the end of sed week they will have the choice of moving back or been removed from the Guild, if sed person dose move back & then server hops again this will result in an automatic removal from Vitas.

WvW

As a guild Vitas can often be found in WvW, we field several groups over the course of a day with more in the weekends. While fighting in the wars we value cooperation and communication. We will often go where we are outnumbered to harass enemy caravans and supplies, we will rarely join all our people and groups up in one location.

When orbs or keeps need taking we will communicate with other groups out there and band together. As a guild we believe in tactical fighting over brute force application. This game offers much in the way of tactics and strategy. We use both Teamspeak 3 and Mumble to communicate with each other and various other groups on the server.

PVE

We frequently do dungeons and sometimes guildmembers will band together in PvE for difficult events. We have experienced and friendly PvE-ers. Everyone can start a dungeon group in guild, no one is forced to join.

sPvP

We have some people participating here with guildmembers, but this is not done often. One of our officers is looking to join tournaments however.

Joining

We are often found on the Gunnars Hold Mumble, you can also send a message to one of us in game, there usually is an officer online to handle recruitment. We do not have a list of requirements for you, just that you act respectfull. Time will tell how well you get along with the guild and vice versa. If you happen to prefer another guild over Vitas, then no hard feelings. At the end of the day we all fight on the same server.

This week we have PS & AM, so far we have had the same as always on the weekends (A slow start) & are about 10k behind, we should be able to catch that up over the week & push for the lead.

PS have some guild’s we know from the old days in WAR & as such we are both gunning for each other which has been grate fun so far, AM are also gunning for us & want payback for last week I feel & that has also been grate fun I take my hat off to both PS & AM so far.

Had some good fun today in Pikens BL fighting up north for 30-40mins in the open field as it should be you guys really know your stuff, hope the rest of the week is as much fun as today.

Like some of you I was also on WAR & on KN I played a Warrior Priest named Garibaldi from the Guild RvK, a small guild of 20ish members. Anyway after getting GW2 I looked for a home & was invited to Vitas by Nidhogg to later find we knew each other from WAR (we had a few duels ) & then @ the start of this week I also found out that some Ex WAR vets are on Piken like Tainted & Vll, this gave me goose pimples knowing that I could be fighting old friends & enemies.

Anyway Myself, Nidhogg & Vitas (VS) will be spending most of our time on Piken bl testing our metal alongside Slaught & his BdB guys.

Weekends are not our strong point as we old farts have an alcohol problem but I am looking forward to the week ahead.

We have done really well this week it has been close all week between GH & AM with AG not too far behind. I have had some really good fights with both AM & AG with AG been just that little bit tougher (Underdogs always have more of a bite).

Gunnar’s are really coming together nicely & our WvW mumble has helped alot for getting quick responses & having some laughs as our commanders lead the masses to their deaths of a cliff.

Nothing will Change in the Borderlands as WvW is about fighting the other servers taking supply camps/towers & keeps & not all about ‘The Orb’ as some of you seem to think, the orb was just a bonus.

Anet are doing the right thing in getting rid of the orb for now till they can sort out the hacking problem since all this Orb hacking is doing is making players stop playing & that’s a bad thing for Anet since its a loss of possible revenue.

I had to log when this happened as it made me feel sick, one thing I will never stand for is Cheating/Hacking. I would rather quit a game full-stop then play with people like these, I’m just glad it’s only happened once on Gunnar’s since I have been on & today was the first time & I hope it never happen’s again.

Gunnar’s Hold is a good server & most players on it stand for Fair play & we will do everything in our power to Report/Block & outright stop anyone who would Cheat/Hack on our server.

I would also like to point out that the last time Gunnar’s & Kodash met you yourself’s also had a player Hack a orb off our self’s (Gunnar’s) & as a result the borderland had to be reset about 1hr afterwards because Kodash wouldn’t hand it back.

Gunnar’s Hold has some of the nicest people I have met in my 12years of MMO’s, yes atm we lack in number’s & some people/guilds have jumped ship & all I can say about that is it’s made GH an even better place, we may go down in Ranks but as things settle down I’m sure others will see us as ‘The Place to be’ for a friendly strong community who play to have FUN even if we are been stomped by other Servers Night/Morning Raids.
