I have tried running different classes. Close to all of them and I have found that it doesn’t matter what class it is, I die very easily. Defensive ( sword and shield ) warriors and guardians seem to be able to take a little bit more, but without solid heals they are just as bad. If you are totally dps, you are literally a glasscannon ( I like this term ). So I keep asking myself, “Is this game totally reliant on grouping?” If it is, why in the world did I buy it? And I keep asking myself this over and over, after every single death. I find myself getting angry and logging out. I don’t play any other mmo’s, this one was my final hope and it seems like it came up short.

The simple answer; YES -you wasted your money -

I’ve always considered AoC to be a pay to play game, I know they’ve been advertising themselves as free to play for a while, but in order to access all the features in AoC, you have to subscribe and be a premium user, kind of like how runescape advertises itself as a free to play game but restricts content to those who aren’t a member
Thats changed ! Recently they’ve opened up a great deal more of the game; more previously locked dungeons, all classes are now available, and a new crafting revamp in-bound

people keep saying wow is better and that it’s the best, and it may be more popular, but even though gw2 isn’t wow it still beats out just about every game before it (aion, tera, swtor just to name a few), it’s an absolutely fantastic game and the developers really showed that they put everything into it
Thanx again for making my point valid; you folks need to try AoC (F2P) and much more polished – yer welcome
How does anyone get anything relavent out of these threads ? !
The thread you viewed 30-mins ago gets buried by the thousands of rants a second -
These forums are useless to the new GW2 player – AreaNet needs to take em’ down – compile he useful information and make it available as DL content – move to an e-mail ticket system if here’s a real issue that someone wants to ask about
Guilds have thier own forums – and they’re MUCH MORE useful
The only reason OP or ANYONE else for that matter thinks GW2 is the best is because they’ve never played AoC
savvy ?
Eh, I’d prefer if you didn’t come back and just stayed off of GW2.
/\ —-—— this ; thanx for playing – enjoy Far Cry 3 – I hear it’s awesome
Thanks for reply’s guys maybe ill stick around try …
I like to have tons of stuff to do always but stuff that will result in a better character/gear/skills etc. not in exporing more % of the map that wont do no good when dungeon bosses bash my head to the walls or so.
Tip: i always hated WoW game and games that copy it,dont asume right off im wow gamer.
Anyway thx.
why not this; what game do YOU recommend? I’d hate to be wasting my time if there’s something better out there
Get over yourselves ~ GW2 isn’t priced any differently than any other PC game (Shooter, RPG, sim) let alone a console game ~ we play a game, get our use out of it and move on ~ this continuing entitlement hang-up you folks have is humorous at best ~ you’ve gotten more game time out of GW2 (hell ANY MMO) than any other game you own ~ yet you kittene and moan here ~ grow up
…
So here comes my question.
What else there is to do in GW2Or about what i said above maybe i missed somethingEveryone overhyped it and recommend it.So think of me as a newbie maybe theres something i didnt discover or that idont know yet about the game that makes it more fun.Im still interested in it i dont hate it, its just i fail to see what else except what i posted above there is to do!!Unless thats pretty much it the mighty GW2.
Troll
Turn it off – go learn to fly a plane down at the local AirPort – that’s a challenge
Your association with them in the manner you described is bannable on nearly every MMO I can think of ; that being said – stay clear and don’t give anyone a reason to report you

Ahhh – don’t even think about coming over to AoC – lol
Bought the book – set me back $26.00 – I would recommend it to everyone and get on you-tube and watch DONTAINe – very informative on crafting at higher-levels.
