It would also make a various and underused control skills a lot more apealing, support would have a reason other than dmage buffs, melee would be a roll of the dice and trust in your fellow team-mates. It has a lot of potentian for fun encounters, a lot of potential for epic fights… there’s just one hitch….. think Dredge fractal clown car…. That’s gotta be one of the primary issues of such an AI change… at least related to the reserves tactic you mentioned.
would this be instance-related or open world, because however engaging and challenging it sounds, if it’s open world most players would rather go around this glob of pain than work out tactics and organise to take them down, at least it’s what i think.. now if it were instanced within a larger-than-5-player-party instance… huhuhuh then it’d be quite an interesting change to AI and gameplay.
It’s an automated, golem-based message, sourced outside LA, in one of the Consortium’s highly secret money labs. Don’t blame it on poor design, it’s just a system they forgot about while evacuating.

i know i know but it’s just one point of view. Besdies why would you need capes with the sheer ammount of trenchcoats out there?i mean they’re kinda like capes, right? capes with sleeves, you know?
you know what else would make you a sad panda? An ettin grabbign hte end of the cape and twirling you throug hthe air only to smash you on the ground or after jumping off a JP to get the cape snagged by a vicious and menacing pebble just waiting to kill you or harpies grabbing the cape and flying off with you to do gods know what kinds of horrible horrible things to your soft underbelly! as such, capes are no good. <nod>
Anymras means the patch notes the devs released before the so called leak, the ones covered in their live stream.
http://tinyurl.com/o9uk23k is what i run. it may not be the best DPS or condi but it’s my build and i like it.
the grenade kit is there for the toolbelt AoE and some longer ranger aggro pulling, feel free to change it with whatever if you don’t like it. also skill 7 is my versatile slot so anything you want to add, it’s no problem. Hope you enjoy it
also the gear combo is what i found works for me so feel free to go crazy with that as well.
one time use.. they’d be a lot more expensive if they were like the zenith weapons
an incredibly inaccurate description on ANet’s part…. better stick to the heal turret
alright… now make them apply to charr as well.. purdy please?
neither are really very useful to engis.. but hten again Hounds seems like a better choice here
wait wait wait wait…. you are still talking about the potted plants and not the sylvari right? cos i have to say, sylvary spiced steak doesn’t sound very tasty. :P
you know why? look at your warrior flexing his or her muscles, look at the glorious, godlike muscle fiber there! that puts kick behind your skills… also look at and pinch their skin. you’ll see it’s really tough and healthy. also look at your warrior’s diet? see all that healthfood there? all the protein shakes? all the fiber goodness? that makes your warrior healthy, son. alo look at their armor. that shiny shiny metal thing coating them. so shiny every skritt would want it. and also tough too. i hope i made my point.
Another of the Mad King’s puns: What business took a nosedive after the charr invaded Ascalon? THE SHAVING RAZOR BUSINESS!
Hah! You sir take my bow <bows>. That’s why i decided to have the aggro-magnetism work for me and my group, using the rifle, nades and elixirs to draw fire and redirect it (gotta love a lucky wall of reflection on the turret path of the dredge fractal making the dredge shoot themselves)
it’s not even the skills we bring. ever been chased by the Mossman’s veteran wolves in a difficulty 39 fractal run as a charr? i feel for cats everywhere. that’s some scary stuff
i will have to disagree, last night i went in an instance and only had Kasmeer with me :o
that trait only works when you get hit by melee, not when you go into melee
+1 internet to you good sir. great ideas and well said. now to get the devs to read it…….

also you can check the in game pvp locker in the heart of the mists for skins if you want
naw… toughness does increase aggressive magnetism but you shouldn’t switch to a gear set you don’t want just because of that… also had this going with my engi in dungeons, fractals and the like and i just tweaked my gear a bit so as not to have too much toughness but still be able to stand (or in my case kite around) against enemies or keep my distance from them (thank you rocket boots)
no.. no no no no…. turrets need Hobo-Tron! or well Hobo-Tron needs turrets… and problem solved… we get mobile turrets, he gets a job, and, as a bonus we get funny dialogue out there in combat
why can’t engi use hamm… ow wait.. <walks up to dry patch of oh so dead horse and runs paw through it> yep.. it’s dead alrighty… <lights a few candles and says a short charr prayer for the dead topic>
TC or Piken Square <nod nod>
if i’m not mistaken it’s the primeval armor skin available on the gem store.. it was there since the beginning.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Primeval_Armor_Skin#Human
permanent no…. well there is a way to get your charr to be metallic by making/buying and wielding the legendary hammer…. otherwise i don’t know
my Charrminator!
Magitech head, chest, pants and boots
Aetherised shoulders
Temple gloves
Hail the Charrminator!
just for the lols but, from a logistic point of view, can you imagine the sheer ammount of paper and ink those two would need to use to mail everyone of us?
and now back to serious bsns… yes that would be a nice idea to have periodic mail or updates about hte major characters of past living story arcs.
Aright, for discussion’s sake lemme add my 2 coppers… <rummages through coin purse>
As a Charr engi, to be specific, it’s kitten hard to find a nice, engi-looking, mix-n-match combination of armor, it really is. Of all the armors i looked at, plotted, planned and combined in the pvp lockers, there’s only about two coats i found acceptable… the t3 med vest (which really fits an engi as a utility harness/vest) and the Rascal’s coat (the only trench i’m willing to wear since it fits the tail).
And as far as cultural armors go, i’m so, so, so jelous that the t1 and t2 light masks looks so much better than the med masks. I’m still hoping though… Some day… Maybe… maybe
^ level has little to do with role play, unless people want to roleplay outside the cities and it may prove hazardous for the lower leveled
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Avenger%27s_armor human cultural tier 2 armor
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Equipment_acquisition_by_stats#Dungeons there you go.. AC armor, TA armor and HotW armor have Magi’s heavy boots, exotics too
Pokemon! Hodooooooorrr!
that is indeed true.. the merchants are still there but control over the camps is needed to make them sell their uncommon/masterwork/rare/exotic equipment and with the pirates event and other such things happening, that might take a while… try to organize something with your guild/s/friends?
uuu some nice strategies with the engineer here! i’ll add mine too..
for the past while i’ve been running a rifle charrgineer (it makes sense, really it does) with 30 in firearms, 20 in explosives and 20 in alchemy allowing me to go head to head with any non-unstoppable melee mobs nearly all the time. infused precision, invigorating speed and plenty pf precision allows me to be a dodging, netting and blasting machine! as utilities i bring along elixir H, B, hidden pistol, ’nade kit and supply drop giving me 2 nice burst skills on my toolbelt (hidden pistols and grenade barrage) to unload on anyone i blast, net and pin down… gotta love the engi ^____^
not any that are known to the general public buuut there are come emotes coded into the game that don’t yet have an animation added like /beg or /sigh (i think). i know this because i have tried some old gw1 emote commands and have not gotten the “invalid command” response
didn’t know that.. thank you for pointing it out
then there’s other whimsical, magical, asura-related, skritt-tinkered factor we do no know about.. i recommend you get your shield debugged and the flamethrower tuned up just in case
the only accessories that are unsalvageable are the karma ones.. i know because i successfully salvaged any and all trinkets i made with my jeweler… while i was leveling it that is.. it’s been a long time now >.>
you’re not getting the toughness from reinforced shield cos, like all weapon kits, the flamethrower replaces your equipped weapon which would explain your second point too if your shield has toughness as an attribute ^-^
wellp.. your problem with choosing armor at lvl 40 will be this: you’ll outgrow it before you know it… go power/precision or power cond damage if you plan to try out pistols but don’t give it too much thought as you’ll be lvl 50 before you know it.. then 60 then 80… it’s only then that you should plan out a more permanent armor set.
<offers a wide selection of torches, from my ranger alt’s personal stash> but really now… here’s hoping for the best
my two bits: ALL GUNS ARE TECHNOMAGIC! as in a blend of asura technomagicry and charr ingenuity, maybe a light seasoning of blacksmithing in some cases
a fine name FINE name.. i’ll grant you an 8 only cos you didn’t mention it in full….
Karron Cinderfang is my name, engineering is my game and for a while my playground was the Black Citadel and its Iron Legion workshops. Matters of ghost extermination, shaman parentage and ultimately necromantic mischief tore me away from my beloved workshops and the many many MANY explosive “toys” i had there but oh well… In the end i was swayed by the Vigil and the promise of lands far away in need of exploration and… cleansing and after many months of travel i managed to get to the lands of Orr and have fun (it’s became clear to me that a well placed grenade can be just as good in eliminating undead as any big, heavy sword).. my only regret is my atrocious sense of direction, which caused me to trek all over Tyria before finally reaching Orr…. no thanks to Treharne, or as i like to call him, Twiggy. My next target is the mysterious Mists, and their endless battleground.. now do i take a left at Lion’s Arch or a right at Ebonhawke….
