As a member of the GW2 eu community, I agree with this.
Are You on RoF? Because the same happened to us.
Underworld. But if RoF is EU the nwe might have been in the same overflow
Let’s complain about the difficulty 20 minutes after the update!!!!!!!!11one!1.
No.
Give people a chance to learn the fight before you start complaining.
I didn’t expect to succeed, however managing to only get 5% of his health off with a huge amount of people, fighting for 15 minutes (and yes there were people on turrets) I don’t think that the difficulty is right.
It isn’t? Have you been paying attention to the fight at all? He gains stacks of armor. People on the turrets needs to remove this but most people on the turrets had no idea what they were doing.
It’s really stupid to complain about something that was released 20 minutes ago when 99,999999% of the players in your map had no kittening idea what they were doing. They will learn and then the fight will be much easier.

Oh, so this game can’t have some ‘hard’ to get achievements because then you can’t get it? Get over it. You don’t need to have every single achievement. This achievement is supposed to be hard.
Ehm… desolation is still fighting seaferer’s and kodash right now..
Factions was my favorite part of GW1.
We need Cantha.
So, it’s been 3 months since you’ve told us a fix should be coming ‘soon’. Any update on this?
Having the same issue, gona try what the posts above said and hopefully it will work.
Problem is I have no idea where this free candle is.
It’s in 1-2, the shop just before the poison water and just past the shortcut wurm. The NPC is standing outside of the shop.
The bug is caused by the candle in 1-3. It doesn’t count towards the achievement. I picked up the free candle in 1-2 on an alt and then immediately got the achievement.
I’ve bought all the upgrades on my main, but my achievement is stuck on 6/7.
I’ve got:
- Shovel
- Whip
- Bomb
- Fire
- Purse
- Moto
- Slingshot

Can any dev confirm whether this is a bug or if I actually need Eternity to get the achievement?
Really? That sounds… wrong.
I hope it’s a bug.
I finished Twilight 10 minutes ago. I’ve equipped it on my guardian, but I didn’t get the ‘Legendary Collector’ achievement (and I didn’t get the icon in the login screen either, because of this).
I’ve tried relogging, but that didn’t help.

Dusk is at 400g now.
What was supposed to reduce the price didn’t actually do anything. Instead, legendaries became even more expensive because the T6 mats are expensive as hell now.
Im sitting here with 500g, only needing Dusk and T6 mats to finish. I have already spend 100g on runestones, and even more on lodestones. One would think that I had already spent enough money on my legendary, but no.
Why do legendaries have to cost so much money? I don’t even get it.

I salvaged 6 Exotics and 5 rares, got a total of 2 ectos. I do not believe that this is just bad luck. My friends are experiencing the same thing.
I’m sure they nerfed the salvage rate because they gave everyone free rares/exotics for the karka finale.
Ok, I just spent 4,5 hours in Fractals (ended with at difficulty 7).
In those 4,5 hours I got:
- 4x rare item
- Charged Core
- Vile Essence
- Pile of Putrid Essence
- Glacial Lodestone
My team members were getting 2-3 rares out of each end chest, and cores too. They even got one of those vial things and an exotic. I had 4 rares in 4,5 hours. The amount of gold/karma I could’ve made doing something else is significantly more.
Maybe I’m just super unlucky, but I don’t really care. Bosses should be dropping silver for the unlucky people.
Surely you make enough from all the drops to alleviate the need for extra coin?
I made over a gold just from doing levels 1 and 2 for instance.
Really? My friends have gotten tons of rares, but I’m at difficulty 5 now and all i’ve gotten is 1 onyx core.
I kinda agree that mobs need to drop at least some silver.
You kind of answered your own question there. :p
I do find it hard to believe that you haven’t gotten a single other yellow in 5 runs, but if that’s true then you have some mighty bad luck. :p
Don’t forget to also include the money made from all the greens/blues. It all adds up.
Yeah, I have incredibly bad luck I guess. But I could earn a kittenon more money in AC/TA speedruns, especially with the updated loot. And I’d get karma as well.

Don’t play with bad people -> problem solved.
If you want to do dungeons then find some friends to play with.
You are calling the dungeon a complete fail because you can’t find any decent people to play it what. That makes no sense.
I’m at difficulty 5 now and we haven’t wiped once.
This is still a big issue for most lodestones.
250 onyx lodestones right now (needed for Twilight) costs 530g. Farming them is not really an option.
It’s nice that the pre-cursors are getting changed, but lodestones need some love too.
I was just placing buy orders, and the trading post was really laggy. I accidentally bid 10g+ on an item which was selling for 2g. In the bottom right corner I could see the gold icon and when hovering over it, it said 8g+.
I’m not sure if I just lost 8g or if it gave me back my 8g.
Does anyone know what happens when you bid more than what an item is currently selling for?
Can someone explain to me how this works? I’ve done loads of dungeon runs since getting my Dungeon Master, but it never goes up.
After letting it reset 2 times I finally was able to finish it. I started putting 2 tears on each stone instead of one, and eventually it worked.
But yeah, this thing is really buggy.
I’m trying to do my achievements, but this mini dungeon in Caledon Forest always bugs out.
Either the eyes don’t display a pattern or the pattern they show isn’t right (or at least don’t do anything when you put the tears in the correct pattern).
Can anyone else confirm that the iconic died during the fight? We suspect this may be tied to something breaking on death. Thanks!
Yes, Jason, the NPC died. I just got this bug 1 minute ago.
Second time we can’t finish this path.
Arah is bugged on almost ALL EU servers now.
(edited by Mythazor.4570)
I’d personally just prefer a fix to the broken content, but I would consent to this if that isn’t possible in the near future.
Of course, but it’s taking too long to fix.
I don’t even mind the bugs (wouldn’t expect anything else from a game that just came out), but one entire dungeon is inaccessible to most people, and other people are unable to finish/work towards their legendary.
Seriously.
Cursed Shore and all the temple events have been broken since release. 2 months later and most people still can’t do Arah. Free server transfers helped to solve this, but now that it’s getting changed to once a week something really needs to be done. I’m lucky enough to have some friends on other servers so I can actually do Arah, but I doubt many other people can say the same.
So yeah, we need an NPC in LA or somewhere else that can teleport us into Arah and that sells obsidian shards (for the usual price, obviously) until Orr gets fixed.
What do you guys think?
Just bought the scythe skin. It looks great when unsheathed, but the size when sheathed is pretty terrible.
You must’ve not been paying attention. Halloween starts today and ends on the 31st.
Due to time zone differences it probably ends in Europe very early in the morning of the first.
You’ll have more than a week to play through the halloween content, and if there’s some sort of ending like the GW1 events used to have, they will probably run for a day or two every few hours.
I’d much rather see they change the precursor instead of lodestones. Lodestones are managable even if they take a while. You can get some from farming and buy more from the TP. For every lodestone you’ll be a little bit closer.
Precursors however have no progress, you just keep loosing money in the forge untill you maybe you get one eventually.
I agree with this guy, we gotta pick the right battle and it can’t be every 5 mins someone makes a new post “OMG I FARMED MOB A FOR 15 MINS AND IT ONLY DROP 1 ITEM B CHANGE DROP RATE PLZ” yes lodestones are difficult to farm but it is a rare item for a reason, secondly it’s not that expensive to buy them. I mean anyone who plays the tp properly should have no problem raising the money required for that part of legendary. Thirdly as stated it’s optional so stop being a huge cry baby everytime something doesn’t give u the item u want right away.
Are you kidding me? There’s a big difference between farming 1 mob for 15 minutes and getting nothing and doing a dungeon 30+ times and only getting 1 item (3 if i forge the cores).
There are some people that actually want to play the game instead of standing in front of the TP for 5 hours a day.
The drop rate is ridiculous, true but…it’s suppose to be difficult to get legendary items. If you get 1-2 lodestone per run and 30minutes per run…simply op.
I didn’t realize farming items with a ridiculous drop rate = difficult. There’s nothing difficult about it, it’s just boring. The pre-cursor already relies on RNG or a kittenload of money.
The dungeon chest drops are so extremely low it is almost insulting to people who love to pve. Droprates from farming are a LOT higher then continuously running dungeons.
But… where do I farm them? Only other place I know that drops them are earth eles in Cursed Shore. There aren’t many.
You can find ice eles at the temple of grenth and claw of jormag event, so those are not that hard to farm, but I really don’t find any good spot to farm Onyx lodestones. And I doubt DR will let me farm this for long. At least give me 1-2 lodestones per TA run if that’s one of the few places that can actually drop them. The current drop rate is ridiculous.
What bothers me is that part of getting a legendary just means you need to have a kittenload of money. I’d rather complete every dungeon or something, or something else that at least requires you to do something special.
Hey guys, I made a similar thread in the suggestion forums. I think that’s a better place to discuss this if we really want them to change anything about the weapon size.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Weapon-scaling-and-asura
Is it me or are some lodestones just impossible to farm? For example, onyx lodestones drop from earth eles on Orr (which there aren’t many of) and you can get them from chests in TA.
Well, I’ve done at least 30 TA runs, and all I got was 1 lodestone and 7 cores (I open all chests with my magic find set + food). I find this pretty ridiculous. The pre-cursor is expensive enough, and now I have to spend an extra 100g just to get some lodestones?
EDIT 11/13: 250 Onyx lodestones are now 530g+++

So the mystic forge can be used for a lot of stuff. I personally try to use it to make some profit, but other people collect hundreds of weapons to try for a pre-cursor.
Having to put in 4 items and pressing the forge button can become really annoying when you’re forging a lot of stuff. So I’m asking if we could please get something similar to the ‘craft x’ and ‘craft all’ button that the crafting interface has.
Example
Say I have 250 of item a, 250 of item b, 250 of item c and 250 of item d. The mystic forge recipe is 1 of item a, 1 of b, 1 of c, 1 of d. Instead of making me click the items and the forge button every single time, who not just let me put in 250 of each and then let me press a ‘forge all’ button that will forge them all (at least as long as my inventory isn’t full). I wouldn’t even mind if the speed was 10 second for each forge. Having to click all these items 250 times is really boring and my fingers don’t like it.
Really hope this is something you’ll consider.

Honestly I don’t like this idea but it’s my personal bias. I already think the weapons are too large to a point where they look stupid, and it’s one of the things that irritates me most about the cosmetic look of the game. I actually want smaller, sleeker weapons.
Currently I end up using Krytan weapons a lot as in general they look the best with their ornate and simple look. Most weapons are too thick and too big. They at least manage to look somewhat normal even if they are oversized.
You do realize I’m only talking about asura, right?
The color doesn’t change. Other people have a different color than you based on how much higher/lower they are than you. Your own level would always be the same color.
Velg, there is an article somewhere on the official site with a graph. That graph is outdated though, and apparantly there are even less Asura/Charr now.
Love this!
Here’s my asura guardian. If you decide to draw him, you can use whatever pose you like. Maybe add a greatsword?
(edited by Mythazor.4570)
My friend’s tiny Asura looks cute and funny, and I’d love to see he wields a disproportional huge greatsword too. That’d be hilarious and Asura-ish ~~
I’m not even asking for them to be disproportional, just a bit bigger. All the other races have the weapons sticking out above their head a bit. The hilt of my sword ends near my shoulder.
Also, I guess since this is now in the suggestion forums I’m not going to find out if this is a planned change.
Could you please make the weapons a bit bigger on Asura? The endgame revolves heavily on farming better looking gear, but I can barely see my Asura’s weapon.
The greatswords are so tiny, I have a feeling I’m going to be super disappointed once I finally manage to get Twilight.
Earlier today it was mentioned on Twitter that Asura and Charr are the least played races. I feel like this is definitely one of the reasons why people don’t play Asura that much. I love everything about my asura, but the weapons are just disappointing.
The height difference between the biggest Asura and the smallest Sylvari/Human really isn’t that big, but for some reasons the asura weapons are much smaller.
How about a ‘Remove all buy orders’ button?
And how about letting us place buy orders for more than 1 stack (250) of items?
For a game that heavily relies on making money on the TP (I don’t see how I could ever get enough gold for a pre-cursor by just doing events), these 2 options are really missing.

If you use the dev tracker you’ll see that there is a patch planned for tomorrow. This should include some bug fixes.
Thank you Jon, this is great news.
Hopefully the tokens we currently have in our bank will become account bound, too.
Like I said, it’s mainly the hitbox issue that makes this hard. I did this path 2 times today with no problems, but we had guardians using scepters and an ele. These weapon can all easily hit the burrows.
As soon as you have a team that uses swords/greatswords etc (and even bows apparently) it just takes too long to kill the burrows, because 90% of the attacks start missing after the burrow hits 50% HP.
I never kill the totems, but it helps. They respawn really fast, though. They do exactly what they say they do… One gives regeneration, one gives protection and one gives retaliation (not sure on the last one).
Killing the regen/protection totem should help a bit, but I personally never bother and just kill the boss instead.
Colin, what about boss HP? Do you feel giving bosses 10 million HP makes the fight better/fun?
I’m really fed up with the HP on some of the mobs. It just takes ages to kill them and it doesn’t really make the fight harder either. If I can avoid AoE for 5 minutes, I can probably do it 10 minutes, too. I have yet to meet people in-game that actually like these 10-15 minutes boss fights that feel like they will never end. Maybe I’m exaggerating with the numbers a bit, but you know what I mean..
Boss HP and the fact that I need to do 50+ runs for a set (who don’t even look good compared to some of the crafted/classic armor skins) really don’t make me feel like going back to dungeons very often. I just finished my Gift of Ascalon, and I don’t think I’ll be going back there any time soon. The fact that most dungeon sets don’t even come with the stats I’d want as a guardian (power, toughness + vitality/precision) doesn’t help either.
Also, bonus events need to do something. Whenever the troll spawns in AC I just feel like bashing my head against a wall. Oh joy, another boss with 10 million HP to kill! And guess what, he doesn’t drop anything! Shouldn’t people actually be happy to see a bonus event?
If you’re gonna introduce newer players to dungeons, you should switch around Cadecus’s Manor and Ascalonian Catacombs. Because as it stands, AC is among the most brutal of the instances, and it’s the first one they get prompted to.
I do not agree. The only hard thing in AC right now is the last part of the second path, where you defend the NPC while she repairs the cannons. The other fights are all really easy. People may be having problems with Kohler, but that’s their own fault. His animation is really obvious. The burrow fights are fine too, but obviously their hit box needs to be fixed (this is mainly what’s making it hard; melee being unable to hit the burrows at ~50% hp and less)
Caudecus on the other hand is pretty hard. It all takes place in very small rooms (which can cause some very annoying camera issues btw). Wall of reflection makes this dungeon a whole lot better, but it’s definitely harder than AC.
I’d rather like some dungeons buffed…
CoF for example is too easy – 15 minutes per run. Compared to that the easiest CoE still takes about 40 minutes. And the reward is exactly the same.
If not tuning the difficulty – i’d like at least see the reward adjusted to the average time requirement for each path.
Because one dungeon takes 15 minutes, they should all be buffed? Makes no sense.
